Everyone is understaffed staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working.  The rooms were clean  comfortable, and spacious. They had a continental breakfast in the morning that you pay for it has the usual good stuff  where you make your own waffles and have sausage scrambled egg and fruit. They also suggested a couple of nearby restaurants for both breakfast and supper.  I have to say I was very pleased that the attention the staff made to making sure breakfast food was hot plentiful and available.I always tip the breakfast person and housekeeping, It's an old school way of thinking and I hope you will consider adopting it. The room had all the space I needed and in a Mini refrigerator microwave and coffee maker. Everything was working just fine and very clean  as I said, I was impressed with the staff and their willingness to try to help me in any way that they could. Be careful when you're paying for the hotel online, but you realize you could be diverted to an online pay program like Expedia. The hotel was great and made for relaxing overnight stay

We had a horrible experience and would caution anyone working with them in the future. To start: Horrible communication and putting the client first. We had an awful time getting our wedding planner to help us or guide us, and pushed off our meeting with them for 4 months.. 4 MONTHS!! We tried contacting Ashley herself, since she is the owner to help us out and make things right. After multiple phone calls and emails for over a month, we finally got an email reply, didn't even have the decency to ever even call us or here from us and what was wrong. At this point we were over it and wanted our money back and out of our contract, because after 4 months, we essentially did everything ourselves we were paying them to do. She then tried to charge us $75/hr which isn't even in the contract, and would not even negotiate to within reason and was trying to pad her hours. It was so bad we had to go to court over it because she was that unreasonable, and still never returned a phone call or even apologized. On top of this, look at the contract with them carefully. They are very shallow about what they won't do for you, but even in the contract if it says they will perform services, ie help get vendors and secure contracts, they will not help and will say they do not do this even though it is in their contract. Also, what kind of company wants to charge multiple thousands of dollars, and will say in their contract we will only meet a maximum of 3 times, will not bring anything to the wedding, pick anything up if it is forgotten on wedding day, essentially won't do anything. The list of what they will not do is longer than the list of what they will do. My rant could go on for much longer for how poor and shady this company is. Would 10/10 not recommend under any circumstance. I get issues can happen and the ball can get dropped on someone. We were most disappointed when we reached out to Ashley, the owner, how she dropped the ball and would not even get back to us for a month. When she did get back, it was extremely rude and was unreasonable, nor did she ever want to resolve things. Not the kind of person you want to do business with.

But they don't do it with any panache. At all. No customer experience to speak of. You can buy a wine glass from here and of course bottles of wine. Also, no food for sale here. No baguettes or cheese or meats to eat with your wine. Though they let you bring your own food to eat there with your wine. There are a few tables to sit at. I wonder if this place is busy at all on Friday or Saturday evenings? I bought wine bottles from them. The wines are okay. Not fantastic. This is probably because we are in Kansas and not near any body of water. Oh, and the vineyard is on flat ground, not on a hill so water can run off easily. Basically, a basic vineyard. Nothing to write home about. Again, I'm spoiled by the rich Virginia wine country and Virginia wines. And Oregon wines and Pennsylvania wines.

(That's where photo is taken from). Sure, you can come & stay one night, but this is more like a home/condo perfect for extended stays. It is an older property and there are signs of age in several exterior places. If you're picky and that matters to you, maybe this isn't your place. But, the rooms, lobby & pool area are great. Staff is great. My 5 stars are based on my enjoyment and experience. Like I said, I want to stay longer. Oh, and location. There is a grocery store right at the entrance, so you can easily enjoy your kitchen as much as you like. Several restaurants are nearby, too. No breakfast offered during our stay and spa closed due to COVID. But, that's for guest safety, so I respect that. I really needed a vacation, but had to come to Wichita for several reasons. Tallgrass kindly accommodates parents/grandparents at a special rate when they come to visit their kiddos. This morning, my wife and I enjoyed an above average hot breakfast provided by the hotel. This was a very pleasant upgrade and a surprise over past visits. The hotel's general manager is directly responsible for this improvement. He is to be congratulated on this decision and encouraged to continue it. The lady, Dawn, in charge of preparing/serving breakfast is very pleasant and outgoing. She should be praised for all her efforts. If you are staying in Wichita, I highly recommend this hotel.
