Yummy donut shop. The staff were friendly and kind. We ordered a variety of donuts and were not disappointed.

Who doesn't love a good donut? We do so we stopped in to try these out. The, I believe, owner was in helping the customers both the walk ins and the drive through. He was a very nice guy who greated everyone with a happy "good morning". The shop has some tables to sit and enjoy your selection, it is clean and welcoming. So, what about the donut and Kolaches? Both good... better than the large chains but not as good as many others we've had. Both my wife and I said, good but wouldn't necessarly go back. read more

They have the best kolaches! The bread is so incredibly soft and delicious. Jalapeño ones were my favorite.

Overall I would put a higher star rating but...... My husband was shocked how rude the owners were no good morning no thanks for stopping in just what do you want!! What else!! What else not giving me prices just throwing everything in a bag then telling me a total, if you aren't in a good mood or having a bad day I suggest you don't work with customers especially dealing with a lot of tourist. read more

I'm torn, living here on the island I want to be supportive of our local businesses, but I have to be honest about the product. I purchased a dozen common donuts and had to pay $23. I've owned two donut shops and never charged this price. Very sad just because we live on Padre island businesses feel like they can charge more money. read more

Small little donut place off the beaten path on Padre Island that's run by a nice senior couple. Not sure what they do with the dough, or the icing, but they were super yummy. I don't like most of the heavily frosted donuts, but I'm a big fan of the basic glazed donut or glazed twist. I ordered the glazed twist here, and there was something about it that took it just a bit higher than your average glazed donut at your local grocery store. It was delicious. Unfortunately we stopped there as we were headed out, headed back to Dallas. So I didn't get a chance to go back a second or third day. Give it a try and let me know if I'm crazy, but there was something unique about these donuts. Two thumbs up. read more

This place has a great variety of donuts and sausage-filled pastries! The staff are very friendly and seemed to have been on the Corpus island a long time. The place is open way before I get up but apparently a lot of the tour operators get their early to have donuts for their sea-faring customers. read more

The wife and I were waiting for our reservation for Horses on the Beach ride and decided to stop in here. Stopped in little after 10am and the donuts were still fresh and satisfying. I'd like to chalk it up to 'maybe she was having a bad day' but even on my worst day, I've never talked to my customers the way this woman did to me this morning. The food is decent here... even before this incident, I've always preferred Shipley but this place is close to home so no point in driving over the bridge. I walked in and there was a man in front of me who she was ringing up. My little girl hadn't finished deciding what she wanted yet, so when it was our turn, I smiled and let her know she could help the person in the drive-thru and that we didn't mind waiting. There was no one in the shop aside from us. All smiles because, hey, it's National Doughnut Day! It's important to note that when she was walking back up to the drive-thru window with the customer's order, it was clear she was at the very least annoyed at something as she flung the box of donuts up onto the counter by the window register. The guy probably got home and wondered why his donuts were all accordionned together. She returned to me and gestured that I could begin ordering by a rude upward nod of her head. After I ordered our croissants, I continued with "I'd like half a dozen..." and proceeded to tell her I wanted two glazed (which she got right), the chocolate one on top with little rainbow sprinkles... she looked annoyed as she bent down to a lower rack and pulled a completely different one from there. I said, "and the rest can be the pink ones" to which she replied, "The rest... I don't know how many are the rest!" WOAH. LADY WOOOAH, chill OUT. She pulled the tray and reached over the pink ones I'd pointed at to get the other pink ones with black and orange sprinkles. Turns out she gave us all the old Halloween donuts from five days ago. Today is the 5th of November. She rung me up and tossed a curled up merchant's copy receipt for me to sign. It had a tip line. Ha! I'll give you a tip: THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT YOUR BUSINESS! I signed it and slid it back over. She made an audible sigh, shoved the paper in a drawer, and without even a thank you for coming in, she turned her back to me and walked to the next person. Lady, if you're reading this, you took the fast road to losing customers this morning. The two people behind me witnessed your behavior as well. Bad day or not, I don't give a shit, there is a certain way you should socially interact with nice people, and that certainly isn't the way to do it. Their selection includes kolaches, breakfast sandwiches a limited assortment of donuts, apple fritters & various cinnamon tools. But, you need to get there early as we found they sell out of the popular donuts before 11. They serve coffee & a large assortment of bottled drinks, but no fountain drinks. There is a drive-though, too. We found service to be slow both inside & at the drive-through. read more

There's a place in Austin that has the BEST kolaches in the city. I've not found kolaches to rival those until now. My friends BF was kind enough to bring us kolaches and cheap champagne to assuage our raging hangover. I expected the normal kolache -- anemic little suckers, kind of disappointing -- but then I was greeted by the site of two grease soaked bags I knew we were in for a good one. Out came kolaches that were at least 6 inches in length, wrapped in poufy glistening bread and crossaints, oozing cheese and marked with a little green dot for jalapeno. That glorious half a foot of heaven entered my piehole at warp speed and dayummmmmmmmm it was delicious. The ham wasn't quite as good as the sausage so if you're choosing between meats, hit up the spicy sausage. If you worship at the foot of the great Kolache, consider this your temple. Wow. If I could give no stars at all I would. Are you serious lady?! I am here on vacation and I went in to order some croissants. I walked in and said "Good Morning" to which I got no response. I thought maybe she didn't hear me. So I ordered and she disappears to the back for about 2 minutes. When she comes back she rings me up and as I'm leaving I say "Thank you" to which I get no response. So I repeat myself because I realize that she CAN hear me she is just being rude as hell. I say "Thank you" again and she says "mhmm". Unbelievable. Didn't say a word besides my total and barely looked at me. I will never come back and I will make sure to leave a negative review on every platform possible.
