Well deserved 5 Star update. I had occasion to rise well before sunrise,just me and my golf cart sharing the road with a few sleepy eyed fisherman and seagulls. Last time I was in Donut Palace was less than. Not today. I would guess ownership change. Whatever the cause the effect was clean shop, beautifully stocked donut display and excellent service. Cap that with unbelievably attractive prices and it all adds up to five stars I left with a cinnamon roll, chocolate glazed,plain glazed, sausage,egg,cheese biscuit and a bacon egg and cheese biscuit for $7.50!!!!! The donuts are really worth stopping in for especially if you're in the mood for one. Plenty of other yelpers have more to say about this establishment. However, you can learn from us as we stopped in here at 11:30 am only to find slim pickins. So be the early bird or you'll get left out. Keep in mind they close at noon. read more

The Donut Palace never disappoints, my dad takes my kids every time we're in port A and my kids no donuts are a rare occurrence and they're always satisfied with their delicious donuts and kolaches. I would suggest getting there early because the donut selection gets smaller throughout the day. Most people on the island are early birds and like there donuts and coffee bright and early. I have not actually visited this location buy my husband went through the drive through and bought us goodies one morning when visiting Port A. The place get points for having a drive thru, which he said seemed to be moving faster that the counter line. We tried glazed and an apple fritter. Not the best apple fritter I've ever had but the glazed donuts were so good. Very soft and light so you knew they were fresh and the glaze was not overly sweet (like Krispy Kreme). Got donuts from here for breakfast one morning. We got a bunch and they were all delicious. I loved the glazed and chocolate donuts. The donuts were high quality and tasted way better than a chain donut type place like Dunkin. My family also got eclairs, which I didn't have any because I'm not really a fan but they seemed to enjoy. Prices were reasonable. I definitely would get breakfast here again. read more

Woman at window did not give my bank card back. Now there closed I haven't a dime to my name. I'm so pissed. That card should have been the first thing back out that window. I need my bank card.answer the phone.I also have a burning hot toddler in the car with no fuel to even get home or run the car for air. I'll never go to this place again as long as I live. Period... Stopped here for breakfast and was bummed the smaller pigs in a blanket were sold out. Don't love the larger ones but they aren't terrible and do the job! Love that they have a drive thru, would just recommend going earlier than 10am. read more

Good kolaches and fast service! Went on a Monday morning and was able to park easily.

due to COVID, drive thru only. It was taking around 10 min per car since it seemed like people were doing group orders and drinks take awhile. Once we got to the front, it was pretty fast since we just got donuts. Lightly cooked crossaints. Sausage is more like a hot dog in there. Kids liked the donut holes. Not bad, but definitely send the early riser person in your group an hour before you want to eat. read more

Delicious! Had the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant and the eclair. I was SO happy the eclair wasn't filled with that custard crap, but rather with the whipped icing. It's not my absolute favorite but it's way better than the other. Their kolaches are awesome as well. Everything was super fresh and the service was great. Verrry pleased indeed! read more

The Donut Palace has a few locations in the Port A area. This is a little shop inside Port Aransas. Highly recommended by locals and I understand why. Kolache's are very good. I recommend the Jalapeno Sausage. Not the greatest donut selection, but this could have been because we got there a little late in the morning. They look like they run out of the favorites early. Great kolaches and good donuts. We arrived at like 10am and they had a minimal selection at that point. We had two sausage and cheese kolaches and 4 donuts- 3 glazed and 1 chocolate. Stopped here to get donuts for our family the last day in port A thanks to yelp reviews. It was good ! The donuts are a bit more "done" on the outside. I love that style of donut though!! We got a bacon egg and cheese crossiant and it was super delicious and not greasy at all. Kolaches are good they have two sizes; big or small. They have coffee, cappuccino, orange juice, milk, chocolate milk, and I think soda. Give this place a try , even if you don't like sweets they have plenty of other breakfast options !! read more
