Michigan Pride is the state-wide Pride celebration for the state of Michigan It occurs in downtown…read moreLansing in the middle of June every year. Michigan Pride is one of the larger Pride events in Michigan. It's about the same distance from Lansing to Grand Rapids/Detroit/Flint/Kalamazoo/etc. so there is a congruence of the different gay communities at this one event. The actual Pride Celebration is always on a Sunday down by the Capital and it definitely has a political tone. The march is a parade that occurs in downtown Lansing after the political rally at the Capital building. The night before is the White Party which involves the local gay bars and is a night of drinking and dancing. I think that the Michigan Pride celebration is fun, but I rarely want to attend. First, the celebration definitely has a more political feel and objective. Part of this has to do with it being held near the capital. I believe in a lot of the political stances but I believe Pride is less about politics and more about getting together and being accepted for who you are. I rarely want to attend because it's in Lansing and it's kind of far away. Overally, the events are well organized and fun.

The trail was VERY scary, well organized, clean and easy to walk on, and the staff and actors were extremely professional and clearly passionate about their work and the show. I got too scared about 5 mins through the 20 minute corn maze and started panicking, but the staff immediately took care of me while continuing the show and were all well trained in helping someone who was too scared and needed to leave the maze. They were kind, courteous, accommodating, and put on a wonderful show. I would highly recommend Best maze corn maze and I will try to come back!!!

I recently went back to Spartan Stadium for the first time in six years and it was fun being there…read moreagain. I love the atmosphere and being around so many fellow Spartans. As an alum I'm obviously biased, but I feel like the fans at Spartan Stadium are fun and respectful for the most part. That being said, the stadium itself has seen better days. It's a bit run down and crowded, and the signage/wayfinding is really terrible. We were wandering around forever trying to find our section, and it was tough to find anyone to ask. The security employees only said, "we don't work here, we just do security," which is fair, but we were frustrated. The section numbers and signage were confusing, but we finally found our seats. The ramps to get to the upper sections are steep, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. One big change from the last time I was at Spartan Stadium is that they now sell alcohol. Crazy! We bought a couple beers to celebrate this occasion. They were much more reasonably priced than I expected at $10-$12 per can. The crowds were not any more unruly than I remember, which I know was a concern with the addition of alcohol sales at the stadium. The seats are bleachers and not the most comfortable but our section wasn't packed, so we had some extra room. Section 109 was directly in the sun for the entire afternoon game, just something to note. It was HOT! Luckily we were able to move into a shaded section thanks to a friend who had extra tickets. If you're a Michigan State fan, I highly recommend trying to attend a game at Spartan Stadium. Go Green!

This dance studio is a great place for shy children or to learn dance from a studio that doesn't have strict restrictions. My daughter currently uses her dance skills to participate in High School sports including sideline cheer, competitive cheer and diving. She has also learned how to speak up for herself and how to speak and interact with adults. I love how Miss Heather uses High School students to help in her classes, this gives them volunteer hours and helps them to develop skills they might need in the future (especially if they were planning to work with children!)

The teachers are caring, patient, talented dancers who put on a great show every year. Most levels and styles of dance are available. Drawbacks: There is no 'front desk' so to ask a question you need to call or butt in between classes to ask a teacher a question. The bathrooms are through the studios, so you disrupt classes if you have to use them. If you're interested in intense competition or extremely advanced levels of dance, this place is not for you.

The gentlemen made all party members stay in the small party room unless it was our "designated jump time". This included when no one else was in the facility.
