The restaurant we were going to that night was also across the street from the park and we wanted to see the best route to take from our hotel to this area, hence hanging out in the park for a little bit. The park has a lot of amenities, including areas you can rent out for large parties. There are courts for games like pickleball and a nice open grassy space. The playground is very cute and kids of all ages would probably love to play on the sets. There is a nice looking bathroom but unfortunately, they close for the winter, beginning on October 1st.

They greet you every time you enter the store and thank you every departure. Ask you first thing if they can help you with. The store manager helped my wife and me with shoes and was very attentive and patient with us as we tried on quite a few different pairs of shoes. Big 5 sales prices are usually good values, especially compared to other places selling sporting goods. Thumbs up all around. If you can handle overkill with emails announcing sales, their email list provides coupons that help boost your buying power, too.
