The bar was quite cheap with an excellent selection of beer, wine and spirits. Didn't get to sample the spa, but their selection of options was quite impressive. The room was very modern, well sized, the grounds were great (even included a couple of goats!), there was a family room complete with Playstation, billiards table, flat screen TV showing sports, comfy sofas and an overall really good vibe to the place. I can just about guarantee that we will stay here again. The price was exceptionally good, £100 for one night and we felt we got a lot out of it! Highly recommend this place.

They have been tastefully and thoughtfully carried out adding much to the ambience of the building. The alterations have been tastefully actioned to give a real sense of freshness and change without a complete new scheme. It speaks of quallity planning and thought. The new location for the bar and the function rooms have been modified with finesse. You are welcome to explore the hotel for yourself. I've not stayed in the accommodation area or even visited it but I sense it would match the more visible part of the hotel. Recently enjoyed a delicious lunch with a group of friends. Despite reporting the cold radiator, the staff simply told me to turn the dial up--which I had already done to no avail. The dining experience was also a letdown. While the presentation was an attempt at "Michelin-style," the £10 mullet portion was tiny and swimming in excessive herb oil, which was difficult to stomach after a long day of travel. On a positive note, the breakfasts were good, the location is convenient, and it served as a helpful meeting point for my family. If you stay here, I recommend double-checking that any special requests are actually communicated to the staff.

We were welcomed warmly on arrival and directed to park behind the hotel (free!), shown to our room on the second floor. Commenting on the hotel and accommodation: it's an old coaching house, so has all the creaks and structural foibles you'd expect of an ancient building. It's been recently refurbished and is looking very swish. They've made clever and considered use of the spaces, and the decor is sensitive and creative. I really loved the small details, like the retro mirrors, the sheepskin rug, the wool bed-throw and prints of the local area on the walls. The bed was big and very comfortable. The only complaint was the seagull noise at 4am - squawking up a hell of a racket. I closed and locked the sash-windows the next night which made a difference. The bathroom was light and spacious, and they offer Bramley products which are all 'nasty' free. Highly recommended. Commenting on the food and dining: There are inside and outside dining and drinking spaces. We ate dinner and breakfast inside on both occasions. The tables are small, so you struggle to find space for everything, but beyond that, the food is exceptional. The wine-by-the-glass is competitively priced and was of a high standard. We ate fresh fish, seafood, beef and lamb and it was all exquisite. The kitchen are doing a great job, and if I look at the reviews from the years preceeding, I can see that the Bull have really striven to do better and exceed expectations. Service was good, not overly familiar nor invisible. All staff seem to be well trained and familiar with the food, and in so doing were able to make their own recommendations. Book ahead for dinner, it is becoming more popular.
