Breakfast was absolutely delicious. I may not be a meat eater yet the omelette was great. My out of town company loved it as well. Friendly staff and met other friendly people who were also dining. Great service, great value and really good food. 2 of us had the catfish buffet, and the others had a loaded baked potato and a taco salad. Black berry cobbler was on the menu today - very tasty without too much sugar. One of our party also had a shake, and described it as having a natural homemade taste. read more

Hours listed open until 8pm. Party of 7 (including 3 small children) arrived 7:15 after driving 35 minutes to get there - apparently our first mistake. Greeted with "Are you all getting the buffet?" Which was only catfish and we weren't interested -second mistake. Ordered onion rings as an app and they brought 5 small rings on a platter, they didn't even touch, so minute. Had to listen to the cook rant about our nerve coming in at 7:30 (incorrect) and not eating the buffet so he had to cook our food! Our waitress went out of her way to make us feel unwelcome, no drink refills, missing fries from a burger plate, VACUUMING under our seats as we tried to stuff our food down as fast as we could and escape! A terrible experience, will never return and highly recommend you Not Eatin this place!! read more

We arrive for a late lunch at 2 pm and the place was deserted. After a few minutes, a woman came out from the back and confirmed that they were open. I had breakfast - an omelet, potatoes and toast. My husband had dinner - steak, baked potato and broccoli. Service was good, food was good and the place was clean. We were passing through and just stopped because it looked good and there were plenty of vehicles in the parking lot. It's a couple of blocks off the main road. Wow! Homemade everything! Just good home cooking. Two of us got the special and our friend got the hamburger and fries. The meat was really good. Cole slaw was crunchy. Gravy on the meat was amazing. French fries stayed crunchy. Definitely worth turning off the highs for!! read more

Large enough parking to pull a boat trailer in & out. Parking does not circle around back. Recommend entering one side, park along front then exit out other side. Had biscuits & gravy which were good. Portions very large. Coffee good. Bacon done just right. Friendly & service great. My family and I stopped here on our way to Memphis. It was this little out of the way eatery that looked very unassuming from the outside. When we got in there was this laid back eclectic dining room. I believe the building was originally a module home that they converted into a resturant. And the bar at the front, super cool. The menu was simple but full with good ol' fashioned southern comfort food. A really interesting fact was the history of their town was printed on one side of the menue. All the way back to the civil war. It was really cool, and very informative. I ordered their bacon breakfast burrito and was amazed at just how good it was. Everything was cooked to perfection. Especially the bacon! We don't have bacon like that in Cali. It was, hands down, the best food we ate the entire trip. And we drove from California to Lake Ozark to Memphis. Hands down, no contest, best food we ate. If I ever get back out to Houston, MO, I will be visiting again. read more

The food was not very good....Then, they ran out of cobbler. The checker said, "You missed out!" I did not feel it was my fault, at all. I paid for a whole meal. They had numerous pies on the menu...put some on the buffet. I told the checker, "Maybe, you did not make enough." I will NEVER go back. read more

They have a fantastic breakfast menu and there's always something new to try. The prices are cheap and good for any budget. It's a good cafe for a small town. They keep the restart clean and you can always find something new to look at on the walls. read more

I really love this place! Breakfast all day and it tastes like good, homemade food. Wouldn't recommend the pork tenderloin though.. I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to bread and deep fry a tenderloin but they were wrong! Still a great place though! read more

Cold hash browns, less than great service...hot coffee but it should not be that hard to get breakfast right.
