I am from Boston, but the food here is GREAT!! Not too many places to dine in Houston mo., I would DEFINATELY recommend this for good food!!

The St Louis Style ribs are cooked properly, Cowboy beans with the house chips are a must. The Dominator is a great hungry mans' sandwich. Loaded BBQ nachos appetizer can be a meal for one person. my dad ordered a ribeye steak and there was so much grisle in it half the steak had to be spit back onto his plate! we told the waitress about it and she just looks at his plate and says she knew that was the way it would be! We had a Savor in our area and they recently closed their doors. The one in our area was fantastic when it was located in a smaller building but once they relocated things started to go down hill. Wait time on food orders were ridiculously long and orders often came out wrong. We had never been to this location and it was nice to see that my previous concerns with the other location had not spilled over to this location. The staff were fantastic. The service was quick. The restaurant was clean and well kept. The food was just how I remembered it. It was like when I was first introduced to Savor and we were still in our honeymoon stage. read more

The owner lets her employees control everything and do what they want and treat people like shit while also letting outside problems affect employees who arent involved. Half the time you wait for ridiculously long times the owner has no clue on being a good employer. read more

We drove through Missouri in March of 2021. On the way through, we stopped here for some lunch. I had some sort of loaded baked potato and my husband had something else. We don't even remember the main dish because there was something else that stood out for this visit. It was the beans. They are the best beans either one of us has ever had. We still talk about them almost every week. If we didn't live a 9 hour drive from this establishment, we would be there every week just for the beans. The staff was adequately friendly and this place was impeccably clean. But the beans were the very best I have ever had. read more

If I remember correctly the location listed on Yelp is incorrect but make sure you find this place. It is small but exceptional. The food is so good that each time I go I have to make a conscious effort to not stuff myself. I have tried the patty melt with the marble rye (which you have to request) and I don't think I spoke a word the entire meal. It was so delicious there were no words. The coleslaw was an great side with great flavor. Once I tried the fried mushroom appetizers, make sure you do also. They have a French onion dip that pairs great with their chips but it is also a good dip for the mushrooms. Save room for pie, the coconut cream pie was delightful. I marked this visit down one star for 3 reasons and this is one of our two favorite go to's in Texas County. 1. My wife's pork tacos were a little dry and something about the smell was a tiny bit off, like wet dog... 2. My steak was good but the baked potato was barely done, it needs to be more done I had to work at it to get it all out of the skin. 3. Hey kitchen we can hear you out front, maybe if you spent less time chatting about being on probation and more time on cooking the potato's....? Our waitress was great and attentive and everything looked clean. We'll be back but y'all gotta pay attention to the kitchen. read more

I don't know what the white sauce was on the Nachos, but it had no flavor. There was no cheese. The chips are store bought...They need to make homemade chips. How cheap it would be to PROPERLY make Nachos. I won't go back. I like cheese on my Nachos. There was no cheese on the burrito, and it costed enough to put some cheese on Mexican food. I am very disappointed, and my mom did not like the burrito. The service is spectacular and this is why I gave two stars! read more

Moved here from out of state nine months ago everyone around here raved about this place we came on mother's Day about 12:30 the service was absolutely terrible we had to keep getting up and asking our waitress for forks knives various items could not get any service until about 2:30 half an hour before they were ready to close and then they couldn't service faster to get us out of there the foods was nothing to rave about and the service was even worse. Wow, this little gem had some of the most amazing barbecue I've tasted, anywhere. I usually like my baby back ribs wet so when the ribs came out I took my test bite I usually take before smothering BBQ sauce all over them. However, my mind was blown by the dry rub as soon as it hit my lips. I didn't end up putting any BBQ sauce on it at all. I also tried the pulled pork and brisket which were phenomenal. The sides were amazing as well. I also had no complaints about the service and the restaurant was very clean. This will be a must eat every time i come back to visit family! read more

My family and I have eaten here on several occasions and I can't remember ever having a bad meal. The ribs, hamburgers, and nachos are very good. We love the French fries with mustard sauce and the huge salad was amazing! The service is very good and everyone is very friendly. I almost forgot about the beans; probably the best I have ever had. And the coke slaw. And the burrito and loaded potato. Oh, and the fried tomatoes and pickles!!! We need to go back soon! read more
