The Edge at Greentree is not a bad apartment. I just moved here a month ago from Philly. I like this apartment. I have a one bedroom and feel that it is a fair price. I like the view, I like the gym...I am not a fan of the laundry room in the unit I live in though, I like the landscape and I have a fair view of the street. However, there are a few problems with my unit that I feel have been there before I arrived. #1 The bedroom has ants that comes out from under the baseboard. My daughter notice them all along the baseboard and on the walls. The rental office did send someone over to spray but that really did not fix the problem because the ants keep coming back. So me and my daughter had to set ant traps that we bought from pest control. #2 The toilet is not level its lop sided...when I put in a work order for it, maintenance fixed it by putting these wooded sticks under it to level it out...however, it still is not fix...we have to adjust the sticks all the time...the toilet need to be leveled correctly. #3 The next problem and probably the most stressful to me is the fact that my patio floods every time it rains. It rained the first week we moved in and my daughter show me the patio flooding. What I notice is that the reason the patio floods is because the downspout drainage which is the gutter drain has a crack in it..so instead of the water running down the pipe into the grass ( by the way which creates a puddle of mud outside the window) I have gushing water landing right into the patio and it floods up to the glass sliding doors. I told the Mgt office of the issue and they sent someone to clean the mud of the top of the drain....but that really is not the problem...and the drain, drains slow in the rain anyway...the problem is that the water is not routing correctly. So this is my issue, unfortunately I am unable to use the patio. I cannot sit out there or put any furniture out there like other residents. When I was looking for an apartment I specifically wanted a patio. Had I known the patio flood I would not be here. If you plan to rent here, I would say your getting a decent place to live...just think twice about a first floor apartment....try the second or third floor. If you're searching for an apartment don't look here. First day of walking in maintenance were living in my apartment. It was move in ready, they were making repairs. While it was my move in day, it was also five other families. The offices closed for the day and put the responsibility of everyone's keys on maintenance and the cleaning lady. Which both of them didn't have any knowledge of how everyone was getting their keys. The buildings are dirty, the units are dirty. I didn't have any air, appliances didn't work. They claim they have no information of corporat. this was a horrible experience and I won't be returning once my lease is up. read more

I would strongly advise anyone considering The Edge at Greentree Apartments to think twice before applying. My experience with the property manager, Melissa, was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. She repeatedly cut me off while I was trying to speak, raised her voice, and did not allow me to fully explain my situation. What made matters worse, she hung up the phone not once, but twice--then called back just to continue speaking in a rude and dismissive manner. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with potential tenants. No one deserves to be treated that way--especially my mother, who was also spoken to disrespectfully during this process. Additionally, there appears to be discrimination when it comes to housing vouchers, which is not only unfair but deeply concerning. After looking into it further, I noticed there are already multiple negative reviews reflecting similar experiences, and unfortunately, I can now confirm those concerns are very real. Please save yourself the time, stress, and disrespect. There are better places out there that will treat you with the dignity and professionalism you deserve. I've lived here for 7 years. It started out great with security, regular upkeep and decent maintenance. About 6 years ago, new owners and a PM who could care less have turned the place into a downtrodden playground for tenants who leave trash and the stench of weed everywhere, untrained maintenance who can sorta fix things and tenants who want to move but can't afford even more ridiculous rent with no where to turn. It's a classic example of corporate greed where saving money by skimping on services and not paying bills gives the property's owners a sense of things going well while not being involved. You can't even contact anyone above the property manager who has now been promoted, leaving a complete mess behind. Too bad there's no one to reach out to, no one that will listen, and definitely no one that cares. Bottom line wins again! read more

Don't live here I strongly do not recommend this apartment. First of all, the property management has a very poor service attitude. The staff is rude and unprofessional and is not willing to help solve any problems. I have contacted them many times to deal with maintenance issues, but they were delayed every time, and no one even came to fix them. The apartment is also very dirty and smelly. The corridors and common areas are almost never cleaned, and garbage is piled up, making the environment very uncomfortable. Moreover, almost all the electrical facilities in the apartment are broken, the washing machine does not work, and the dryer takes up to 3 hours to dry clothes. Overall, there is no comfort at all living here. I hope everyone will think twice before considering renting. read more

Terrible place. Avoid. Idk how a management can be so bad. Bugs and crickets and spiders everywhere even in the AC vents. Cheaply renovated low quality the w/d ruined all my clothes. Their website says that all these services and amenities are included when in fact maintenance doesn't really exist we've called 2 weeks straight about a problem and it has yet to resolved. Not to mention we still haven't received the key to the gym and we've been there for 2 months now they said they cant make copies at the moment or something like that. The staff in the office are not professional at all. Also it's hard to tell which is tenant parking and what is visitor parking so be careful because they will tow your car and have no respect for the law which states there should be a tow sign at every entrance or at least every 1500 square feet. There could be things a lot better for sure.I thought after coming from overseas i figured, this would be an awesome place. It's loud and full of trash on the grounds always trashy, loud people walking around the bus stop All times of the night. Car is cutting through as a shortcut to 95. No parking, cars that are parked on the side road belong to houses that are not a part of the complex. Parking is extremely hard. People smoking and throw their butts in the front of the place, making it difficult for kids to play without finding butts or blunt endings, A.k.a. roaches. Takes a while to get maintenance to taken care of fixes but they always wanted their rent on time as if nothing happened. The main manager was really nice. The fitness center was decent. Apartment is spacious. Upgraded but very cheap finishing. Resolving issues is good. Management is much better. But....Parking, poop in the grass, parking in the courtyard, trash all over the place etc. Unfortunately I cannot blame management for this nastiness. Is you decide to move here. I don't know where to begin when listing the reasons not to live here. The incompetent management. the neighbors who leave trash, cigarettes, and dog feces all over the ground. The extra creepy maintenance staff. The lack of parking and the time they reported cars to be towed by police without warning (people still park in the "fire lanes" while a delivery truck takes up multiple residents parking spots). The lack of accountability for said towing or anything at all (like a devastating fire that other residents were never briefed on). There is one non-centrally located, insufficiently sized or labeled recycling dumpster, which would appear to not meet state law requirements. No one cares, they would rather you live in the trash. Live here if you enjoy constantly leaving unreturned messages with the manager, picking bones and trash out of your dogs mouth because they are so ubiquitous you can't avoid them all, not feeling safe letting maintenance staff into your apartment, or free parkour obstacle courses created by a pile of discarded furniture on the premises. read more

2/25/2018 - Yelp Review - The property manager, Justine, is extremely toxic. Her staff ignores issues presented to them. They manipulate residents to believe they've created the issues within their homes. They do not appropriately repair problems within the unit. When they do fix items, they pretend there was nothing wrong, and use gas-lighting techniques to blame it on you. They take care of their employees who are equally toxic and abusive. And they control, manipulate, and use fear tactics against employees they label as weak. My son is medically fragile. We let Justine know this weeks prior to moving in. She moved us in building 908. Which already had a roach infestation. An issue which wasn't resolved until our neighbor upstairs threatened to sue. Imagine how it feels to have a child with a medical condition. Have a property manager create the emotion to pretend they care. And then have nothing done to ensure your child's safety prior to moving in. And after moving in, noticing several issues. Constantly reporting them. And having nothing done, but listening to a maintenance mans poor attempt at using the manipulation tactics enforced by his boss. The apartments are beautiful when you first see them. The models are great. But then you move in. And all hell breaks loose. The gentleman across the hall from me were swindled when they moved in. They signed up for a $1000 2 bed 2 bath. They hit them with the car sales bait and switch. Got them to sign a lease for an apartment which didn't exist. And then negotiated a different apartment at $50. Do you know how troubling it is to know the 20 year olds that live across the hall pay almost $300 less than you and have an additional bathroom? I cannot even get a fridge that works. Very extremely poor and predatory business practices here. I reported a serious safety concern. Rather than informing the rest of the residents. Justine created a toxic circus act. And now she is threatening to fire an employee to be the sacrifice so that she does not get fired herself. Everyone in this apartment complex smokes week. You can't enjoy your balcony and just walking through the parking lot, you are engulfed with the smell. If you don't mind the constant smell and your don't mind your children inhaling the fumes, then it's not a bad place. read more

I really do like living here. They accommodated me being on the second floor even with a pet which I greatly appreciated. I like the agents at the front office. Caleb and Genesis I believe. The neighbors are friendly and quiet for the most part. I can't blame my upstairs neighbors for how thin the walls are, but I can hear evvvverything that they do. Sneezes, their alarm going off, even their phone vibrating. I'm writing this review because over the course of the 'pandemic' my microwave broke and my dryer was being weird (not drying clothes all the way resulting in smelly clothes and having to re-wash multiple loads). Normally this wouldn't bother me and I'm patient to wait for availability on service, but I've had to work during the pandemic and I need my w/d to be readily available when I get home. Unfortunately they couldn't come to fix it and I had to go without both for a few weeks and hang dry clothes all over my apartment. Then when they finally were able to fix the clogged dryer, it wasn't actually fixed. And now it's weeks post being "fixed" , my microwave still isn't replaced like they said it's be a week ago, and my dryer is still taking 3-4 hours to dry clothes. I feel like this problem has been put on the back burner and I feel bad for probably being an annoying tenant but what's more annoying is being told maintenance will come a certain day and they don't for whatever reason. I am not one to complain which is why it has taken me over a year of ridiculousness to write a review about this place. First off, the walls and floors are so thin you can hear EVERYTHING that happens in every one of your neighbors apartments. To the point where I know that my downstairs neighbors alarm goes of at 5:30am on weekdays, and they go straight to the bathroom bc I hear the toilet lid slam right after. Management also does nothing to enforce their rules about quiet hours so music plays all hours of the night. They also do nothing about people smoking in the hallways and running up and down the stairs messing around at 1am. There is also very limited parking available, and even though lack of parking is a constant issue, it still didn't stop them from allowing workers to park a dumpster across three precious spots for weeks on end. And of course, what prompted this review, my final stupid straw, they let the grass grow for weeks letting it get way longer than it should have been. So today after a good rain storm they sent people to mow the lawns. Needless to say, my car has grass and dirt plastered all over the tires, Windows, doors, and grill. And not Maintaining the grounds is not just a summer issue, in the winter they did not shovel one sidewalk. Come on. This place sucks in every way and I cannot wait to find a new place to live. Last but not least, the people around here are sketchy. I don't even go running by myself anymore because I had so many ridiculous encounters, including someone who stopped me mid stride to try and sell me candy bars on a 90 degree day. Place is decent but overpriced and overrated. I see folks walking their dogs and not picking up after them. There's plenty of yard space but only for pets, there's no designated spot for children to play outside. The dogs pee and pop everywhere. Trash bins are often overfilled. People dump used furniture outside, folks play loud music and Managment, when you complain, nothing happens. I think anyone paying $1200+ to live here is crazy. Repair orders take months to be done. The wall and floors are thin so you can hear all your neighbors conversation, loud music and kids playing. Location is convenient but lots of weird people around, not the safest. This is the worst place that I have ever lived. The walls are thin. The hallways are filthy. You can smell food from every ethnicity on the planet and wind up going to work smelling like curry just from walking thru the hallway to get to you car. Ther's no parking and maintenance is a joke. What I love about this place is location, that's where it ends. If you read the other reviews you will see a trend. I agree completely, parking is terrible. Groups of thugs that come from the low income housing behind the edge, vandalizing breaking into the buildings, my girlfriend is afraid to get the mail because of these guys. Now I get totally rude ghetto girl answering the office phone! It blows me away they allow people like this to represent there product. I have lived here for over two years, the only reason being location, believe me we are constantly looking for a new place. I have lived here for 8 years and have seen 3 management companies come and go. I have been promised that things will improve but have not seen it happen. The staff is surly and will tell you what they won't do but won't do the things they have promised. I was automatically renewed for another year because the present management claims that I did not respond to the renewal request and rent increase. I stated that I did not receive this letter and was told that I did receive it because they had the post office stamp a paper. No return receipt that would made sure I received this letter. Basically they called me a liar even though in the past 7 years I have always responded. I am in the process of buying a home and now I have to wait until June of 2018 because of this. I am told what they did was legal. It may be legal but it's unconscionable that after 8 years I might have received a courtesy call. Maintenence if poor and the apartments are very dated. I was told that my dated apartment was "classic". I will be leaving as soon as my lease is up. read more

I have lived here for 4 years, 3 different management companies and 1 fire. This latest management company is horrible. They say one thing but don't do anything. Parking is limited even for 1 vehicle. However, look around they have parking violation stickers on vehicles and the cars still sitting there. Have cars with 4 flat tires, violation sticker peeled off and still sitting in same spot for over 3 months. Management says "the resident going through rough times and they have a visitor sticker on the vehicle." SO, what does "rough times" have to do with rules stated in the lease for broken down vehicles? Landscaping in front of buildings has dead trees, plants and flowers. Garbage all over, hallways filthy, lights out on side of buildings so can't even see to get the mail at night. I have called the office and reported the light is out 2 weeks ago. Residents with large gas grills on decks, which is a huge fire violation code and still nothing is done. read more
