Was good for the first 9 months I was there but it has become way too crowded. Machines are cramped and close together and often under maintenance. It's members also don't seem to know basic gym etiquette (5 people hogging a single machine, people taking up two machines at once, using machines for an exercise it's not meant for, recording in areas other people are working out). If you're okay waiting for machines every workout and being in crowded spaces, this gym will be just fine but personally I look forward to switching soon. read more

Becka Neas is an excellent trainer and genuine person. The gym is super clean. The equipment is in tip top condition. All clients are awesome. All employees are awesome from the front desk folk who answer the phones to each and every trainer. This is a great place to bodybuild or powerlift. There are plenty of squat racks, flat benches, and pull up bars. The machines are state of the art and there are plenty of those as well. read more

Edge Fitness Warrington has gone downhill considerably since opening in 2019. It's basically a teen hangout. Management and staff do nothing when you say something about the equipment loungers. Why would they though when they are talking to them! I upgraded to the Women's Only area so that I could get a decent workout. Just as many loungers in there. I quit in 2020 then rejoined in 2023. The Evolve challenge was a joke. I basically threw $200 out the window. My trainer became disengaged after I told him that I could not afford the supplements he wanted me to buy... I had the same stuff at home. I got COVID in October 2023 and missed several weeks of training and workouts. My trainer quit a few weeks into the challenge. The replacement trainer was fair. I told her I was going on vacation prior to the challenge ending. She messaged me while I was away about completing end of challenge stuff. The trainers are clique-y and only speak to their regulars. I decided to cancel my membership in February 2024 before it renewed at a higher rate. I emailed corporate well in advance of the required 30 days notice. My membership finally got cancelled in June 2024. $35/month of free money for Edge because I hadn't set foot in there since November 2023. The best part was getting this alumni "please come back" email that promised a bunch of stuff. I didn't go back because I knew it would be the same crap. They now offer month to month, cancel at anytime plans, but they are more expensive. I'm not willing to give Edge any more of my money... read more

Tried to cancel over the phone but was told I had to come to club which was a pain bc I moved, upon arriving was told it needed to be done over email. They took 4 days to respond to email(1 day after charging for that month), then told me i would have to pay the annual maintenance fee which was increased with exactly 30 days notice so you couldnt cancel with 30 days notice and would be stuck paying it even though you cancelled and of course not utilize it. Now this is strange. Warrington has these holiday bags with membership offers that we can give to others as gifts to gain their interest to join under the new membership offer terms. Managing two area gyms B and R in Feasterville and Retro Fitness in Franklin Mills I thought it a nice idea to present an Invitation this way. As I was just now leaving I get this abrupt Desk Assistant who with a smirk im not allowed to take one as I was already walking out the door and the display table invited Members to take one when he says The Manager says you can't have one .. you have to bring a prospect in first before you can have one. They have them in a small red gift bag and others had taken them to give their Family and Friends .. so they need to display those terms clearly on the display table so that Members as myself are not felt iritated or offensed as I just was today. There's clearly a better and more Professional way to treat prepaid Members or any Members. With this approach im not sure if id recommend new Members at this point. read more

This gym has newer equipment and a good smoothie bar but that is the extent of the advantages here. I'll start with facilities maintenance; management will leave equipment broken for weeks at a time. In a gym this size that shouldn't be an issue because there's other machines to use. But that's not the case here because this place is so packed at all times it's insane. At some point a gym needs to prioritize a realistic capacity over profits. There is also a problem with equipment as far as it being there at all. There are not enough bars in the building to satisfy the benches and the racks being all filled at the same time. Same with straps and handles for the cable machines. I'll unfortunately be canceling my membership and giving LA a try for these reasons. read more

I joined and the first day in the ladies locker room teens were in there video taping themselves. I said something to the front desk and the person just said thanks for letting us know. I go another another time and and here we ago again (different patrons) more video taping while they are using a machine and I'm right there in the treadmill. Their phone is directly facing me. I felt very uncomfortable and at exiting I said to a different employee about the video taping. There was another customer right there that said maybe this gym isn't for you. He was correct! After a few weeks I realized he was correct that gym is not for people like me who just want to work out in piece without feeling like they are being videotaped. read more

I was at this gym briefly, just for a weekend as I was there for a training in a new fitness format I was learning. THIS GYM IS BEAUTIFUL. I was mostly in the group fitness room the entire time which was filled with benches, like 4 or 5 Les Mills weight racks, etc, etc. The gyms I work at up north don't have near as much equipment as this gym's group fitness room. Out on the actual gym floor it was clean and the machines were nice. I did look around because I was curious. The women's room was clean and there was even a "women't only" workout area. But let's talk about that SPIN ROOM. I've never seen anything so beautiful. They offer Les Mills live RPM and SPRINT classes so you can scan your pass and go in for those classes. They also have instructor led classes at designated times. It was like stadium seating in there so everyone has a view of the instructor. I had spin room envy. The cost is extremely reasonable from what I understand. I wish I lived closer!! I'd love to teach there! read more

I have been working out since my late teens and sometimes lose motivation. I love the classes at the Edge. All of the trainers have their own personal style and are very friendly. One in particular is Jewel.. not only has she motivated me she always brings high energy and a kick ass workout EVERY TIME!!!!! she pushes me to do more and I love that she watches and corrects my form so I am not hurting myself in the process. For a long time now, EDGE has been my favorite gym in the area. This is still true today, although I do feel that the gym is in decline. It is still great for what it offers-- a suite of great machines for all levels of fitness, a large selection of dumbbells, ample space to work out, an accommodating team, a young crowd (overall ranging in age from between 18 - 35 Y.O.) and of course too much cardio equipment. Overall, I still feel it is a great gym if you can bear the negatives. With that in mind, let's talk about the negatives, which is why anybody reads reviews online. 1: Hygiene. I contracted COVID after visiting this gym. No surprise, as the metal buckets containing hydrogen peroxide wipes are oftentimes left empty for days at a time. There are no hand sanitizing stations or even paper towels/ tissues to be found anywhere in this gym. I find all of this to be completely unacceptable, considering just how crowded this gym is becoming. I don't mind having contracted COVID here, as that's mostly out of the gym's hands (even when everything is perfect, some people wipe machines and others don't,) but it bothers me that things which are completely in control of the gym, and which could have helped to prevent this situation, are not being handled. Also, I've borne witness to certain male members of the staff not washing their hands after taking a piss in the restroom... These are the same guys who make your protein shakes. Disgusting. 2: Crowd. I am not going to take the piss out of a franchise gym for trying to make profits and keep attendance high, as that would be insane... But, the crowd is becoming a serious problem. I come here because I am serious about fitness, I get great machines here for the low price I pay (about $10/month or so,) and because EDGE is way closer than any of the hole-in-the-wall powerlifting places in Philadelphia. I know what I'm doing, and because of that I'm probably better able to improvise my workouts a little bit better than most people. On the other hand, if you are not absolutely serious about fitness, or if you simply don't have hours to wait around between workouts, then DO NOT join this gym... You would be far better served by a local place which is closer to your house. This place is now a trendy and popular gym, which means that it has a lot, and I mean a lot of high schooler groups, steroid kids, and fitness ""influencers"" (see: TikTok/ Instagram addicts.) These people all take a lot of time at each machine. The quality of the crowd is mostly good still, but even that is decreasing as people move on. It used to be that almost everyone at this gym was friendly. Nowadays, you get a lot of snotty brats on steroids who think that they own the bench, and guys who are obsessed with trying to pick up every woman that they see mid-workout. In other words, people that you don't want to see at your gym. 3: Lack of machines. I'll keep this short, because this one is the most plainly apparent if you actually visit the gym. The above problem of crowding, as I mentioned it, is heavily compounded by the fact that certain machines/ stations are very few in number. For instance, despite EDGE having three massive studio spaces dedicated for womens' classes, and a cinema room full of additional cardio machines, there are only four squat racks in the gym. Even worse, there is only one pec fly/ rear delt fly machine in the entire gym. Let me repeat that: For one of the most popular chest/ back day exercises of recent history, they only have ONE. MACHINE. I have never seen this machine available a single time in the entire history of my coming here, and I sometimes go to the gym for hours at a time. I am not exaggerating. It is never available. A lot of machines here have this problem of being only one in number, but seriously... Good luck doing machine flies or deadlifts at this gym! You will get old waiting to work out. 4: Machine health. Because of the heavy crowding and lack of machines, machines are often overused to the point of breaking. Cables are more often worn down to the wire than they are completely clothed in rubber these days, and are sometimes frayed in such a way as to pose themselves extremely dangerous to the machine's user. When confronted with this information, staff will put a sign on the machine, and it'll be out of commission for usually between 1-3 weeks. For a gym that already suffers from heavy crowds and "one machine" syndrome, this is unacceptable because it puts even more of a burden on the other machines. There are also many handle attachments which are very worn out, and they are not enough in number either. Conclusion: EDGE is still a cool gym but, assuming nothing changes, I see the quality of my EDGE experience going down as injecting steroids/ filming softcore porn at the gym becomes an increasingly popular after-school activity for highschool kids. Build a second story, or enforce a dress code, and most of these problems will vanish overnight. read more

I joined Edge a year ago and I wouldn't recommend it to those currently looking for a gym. It's overcrowded most times, the women's workout area is not clean, but my biggest issue is the way a female employee encouraged a guy to harass women at the gym. I reported the incident and nothing was done as far as I'm aware. Personal training is ok but overall my experience here has been underwhelming and aggravating. read more

The Price. Can't be beat. The Facility. Can't be beat. Much nicer than most gyms in the area, and nicer than the other Edge locations. The Staff, a little mixed. 90% of the Staff is super friendly and helpful. However, there is a 10% of the Staff that is very rude and unfriendly. And the sentiment has been echoed by many former employees. I guess you can't have it perfect, but I would think there would be better training and workplace practices for staff members. Overall, the massage room, the separate women's area, the class room, the spin room, the movie room, the lifting area, and the cardio area are spread out evenly, and they are fantastic. I only wish they had a pool, but as I said, at this price, you can't really complain. One thing I noticed is that membership fees go up after 1 year. As long as it doesn't go up any higher, they will have a lifetime member. They also did a great job setting up stations where there are wipes, sprays, and towels all throughout the gym. read more

No other gym does this, it's a trap to consistently take your money. Don't sign up. You'd be better off at literally any other gym, any one. Edge as a whole is not a great place. Sure the gyms are clean, good lighting, etc. Good luck actually working out here though. It is always jam packed no matter what point of the day or night it is. You spend more tie walking around trying to find SOMETHING to open up than actually working out. My biggest thing right now is the contract itself is a scam. It is so easy to get roped in, but if you want to cancel it is a nightmare. I was told that there is no way out of the membership unless you move to a location that does not have an Edge within 25 miles of it. The alternative ways out are joining the military and proofing deployment, and also proving a lifetime medical disability. Im basically locked into this contract forever with no way out it seems. I am still trying to find a way to get rid of this gym forever. Avoid this gym at all costs. Its more frustrating than anything. read more

REAL Advice for people looking to join the Edge: I am a post graduate student and I was looking to switch up my gym routine from Planet Fitness. I was attracted to the Edge in Warrington because of their group classes and personal training. After touring the facility, I was excited to join and get my free personal training session. After my training session, I made the decision to go with 2 months personal training. The BEST benefit of doing the personal training is the edge strong classes. I was going to 4 classes a week, working with a trainer in a small group setting. It was amazing. The one one one training sessions were great too (I loved my trainer) but I would not go to the gym outside of these classes. I quickly realized if I cancelled my personal training (must do 30 days in advance or will be continuously charged) I would loose my ability to do edge strong classes unless I wanted to pay an ADDITIONAL $60 a month... on top of my membership fee. My best advice to anyone looking to join the Edge, do NOT join this gym and sign paper work in a legally binding contract just to use the same amenities as a planet fitness(or a cheaper gym). The Edge in Warrington looks pretty on the outside but is small and always way over crowded on the inside. Truly this gym should be advertised as a personal training gym (since they promote that 24/7) After reading countless awful reviews about the Edge on Facebook, I know I made the right decision leaving. This is a fair warning to join with caution because they make it VERY difficult to get out of the contract (move permanently or provide a doctors note as stated on their website policy) Before signing up, go check Facebook reviews for Edge in Warrington. Many people are claiming they have been ignored by workers about concerns, feel uncomfortable with the high volume of people and sanitary procedures, are repeatedly charged after canceling, and can't get out of their contract and have proof of medical issues, etc. so please make your decision carefully! If I could give this place zero stars, I would! My father has been in the hospital since the beginning of March for going into cardiac arrest 3 times! After notifying them they said we needed a note from the doctor to prove it. We did that even though the doctor said he never heard of such a thing. After they received the letter they continued to bill my dad. They informed us that they needed more info on my dads health from the doctor. Finally, we were able to cancel with the bank since the bank noticed that they switched their billing name. A family is going through a horrible time and they have no care. The club is nice but my issue is how the company operates which was bait and switch. Unfortunately members are not allowed access to all of the training equipment unless you are with a trainer or in the class led by an instructor. Specifically the studio rooms, cycles, HIIT and punching bag. When I signed up, I asked this question specifically if I had access during the tour of the rooms. The answer was yes as long as a class is not in session. After a month the rooms were locked and when I asked about it I was told that you couldn't go in there unless you were in a class or working with a trainer. Well, that is different than what I was told so I tried to cancel my membership and I was told no. The only acceptable reasons were moving or medical. Other gyms allow members to use their equipment and rooms without question. Nice gym but clearly they are ok with bait and switch. I would look elsewhere based on deceptive practices. read more

I love this place! Everyone there is so supportive and friendly. I kept seeing reviews about billing issues at the other locations but have had none so far. I started working with a personal trainer, Gina. She is AWESOME! I have worked with others in the past but none as helpful as her. I kind of lost momentum for a while because I was getting impatient with the weight loss until she offered advice and helped motivate me to continue. She even set it up so that I text her every time I go to the gym on my own to make sure I'm keeping up with it. Giselle the girl who signed me up always addresses me by name, and the guy at the smoothie bar knows exactly what I'm going to have. It might be a big gym, but has a small gym feel. Just do not even waste your time. I will tell you why.. I recently signed up for personal training, at first it was great! I loved my trainer and I still do. None of this is her fault at all. She was booked solid all day everyday with new clients constantly signing up and the managers only saw $$$, they didn't think about how this would effect the members who have already signed up and spent way more than enough money on this training. Upon signing up I was told that I would have a nutritionist... this was false. I signed up for training two times a week and I would go to the strength classes the other two days. It was impossible to get a spot in the classes. I was told that I needed to get on the app and click reserve at exactly two days prior. I work. I cant do this and I shouldn't have to fight for a class. Make spots for the people who are spending $349 a month for training or the other people who pay $50 a month for these classes that you aren't even guaranteed to get into. Then of course The Edge has another promotion which meant a surplus of money which is also bodies in the gym, and with covid that makes things hard, which means it was even harder to get spots in class.. When I first signed up for training I was told that in order to cancel training you must cancel 30 days prior, so I went 30 days before my personal training would be renewed again and cancelled the membership and was told by a manager that I would not be charged anything else from them besides my regular membership. I still was charged I then provided a doctors note as to why I was cancelling and it was sent to corporate for them to handle. I still haven't heard from them. The customer service does not exist. The staff couldn't be bothered to help you. I have a relative that works at LA Fitness and says they get people signing up that recent left The Edge because of the customer service. The facilities are great, they have plenty of equipment, but, the customer service is why people leave. If you have an issue/complaint they make you feel like you are a bother to them, and that you are totally wrong. Its really a shame. read more

Beautiful brand new facility! Equipment is excellent, staff is friendly and locker rooms are well equipped. They have a separate women's only gym which I love. I am in it for the classes, so here is my humble opinion of them. The body pump classes are very good! I've been in classes with men that struggled, you will get a full body workout. I've taken several 3 Zumba classes with 3 very different results. Tuesday 7: fun, energetic class. Gives verbal queuing and keeps the energy level up. It's not so complicated that we just watch her dance, you can follow along. I would say it is an intermediate class. She is excellent! Thursday 7, easy to follow along...music needs some updating, gives verbal queuing which is a plus. It's a basic Zumba class, good for beginners. Sunday 11:30...sadly disappointing. No verbal queuing at all...I don't care what your doing next, I just need to know when your doing it. We did about 300 toe touches...no combos, two or three moves per song (repeated over and over and over) Perfect for your first Zumba class, but most people would be bored on the 2nd class. I'm no Zumba expert at all...just prefer classes with good music, verbal queuing and decent dance combos that are not so outrageous no one can follow along. read more

Walked in this morning thinking of joining, walked away 5 minutes later literally shocked. Have been thinking of joining and wanted to check it out. Lots of friends had a free workout and then joined. I asked about it and the girl tried to get the manager's attention but he walked past us busy. Turns out he needed to show the other girls how the TV remote worked. We both had to wait for that to be completed, but okay no worries, She went over to him, came back and told me it would $14.00 to work out. I was surprised, but again, okay. I needed some way to know if they had what I wanted in a gym. I asked if I could at least look around. She looked at me like I was trying to get away with something and said, umm, umm, .. My jaw dropped. Came to be a customer, walked away feeling like an outlaw. Drove over to LA Fitness. Guy I did bench with told me he had a free weekend and then joined. But I would never join now.
