They tell you they have a good medical alert system in place and will notify you in an emergency. (Primary reason we are there.) Not so. My father fell and no one was alerted or notified. He was alone and a caregiver aid I privately hired found him on the floor with injuries. I brought this to the attention of management. No response. Nothing. No follow up. Just a blank stare. So, don't expect anything in terms of emergency. Residents are in their own. Meals are rigid. No flexibility whatsoever. The meal system is difficult if you don't want to race to a meal 30 minutes early then wait for an hour and a half, then, you are out of luck. Unless, you want to fill their forms out 3 times per day for every meal. Just a ridiculous system. Yet, you pay for it. Billing is terrible. No statements. They don't explain charges and they don't correct charges. They overbill. They sell you on the monthly charges and claim it's month to month. They rush you through a lease with errors. Then you find out it's a 3 month minimum and an additional 30 day notice. They don't disclose this at the outset. They state it's month to month. Just terrible business practices. Very false advertising and misleading. If you object or complain, they just ignore you. I'd be careful staying here. I think, they are dishonest.

I only say good because the largest meal is at lunch time. The dinner meal only consists of sandwiches. When I was growing up , lunch was a sandwich and dinner was the main meal of the day. Also they are pricing the residents out of the facility. Most residents are living on their retirement income. Once the monthly payment reaches above $3 to 4 thousand dollars, residents have to make a decision on what to do.

Unfortunately, Webster is really assisted living that has labeled itself a nursing home w memory care capabilities- & they are none of that. Their team proactively avoids patients with anything more than very mild dementia. They are shameless about turning away those in our Community who need healthcare the most. My family is from North Hampton and Rye and we have the means to obtain the best in care. Webster is truly "run" by a dementia- averse nursing manager and the leadership in this facility takes a 'back seat' to her. My elderly parent who truly had mild dementia was turned away as they thought they would be "too much work". I have done a lot of work with the seacoast elderly community and 'the word' is Webster is truly not any more than assisted living . If your elders need 'real care' not just a room to live in (&if you are socially responsible in any way) - look elsewhere in the seacoast for a capable institution that has true compassion and an interest in caring for elders

Lovely apartments with easy access to elevators and community areas, residents truly have the independence they desire along with the personal and home services they require. Physical therapy is available on site as well as hairdressing and other personal services. A dedicated bus can be reserved to take residents to medical appointments in addition to transporting groups to outings, such as to a restaurant or shopping center or museum. Seasonal outings are offered including foliage rides, Holiday light viewing, and trips of all kinds in the surrounding communities. New activities such as Life Stories, Tech Support, a Blood Pressure clinic, and Flu and COVID Vaccine clinics have been added to their schedule. This alludes to what is possibly the best feature of the Gables - the plethora of fun, social activities that are available on a daily basis. Regular weekly activities include exercise programs such as chair yoga, exercise to music, strength and stretching, corn hole and bean bag toss. Residents can take advantage of challenging and brain enhancing activities include trivia, crossword, puzzles, and current events. A book group and well stocked library are available for use. Entertainers and musicians use the main lobby and piano to serenade as well as encourage sing alongs. A therapy dog and pony visit the residents. Masses and non-denominational bible study are available as well. A theater on the main floor is used for regular movie nights and other events. Monthly birthday parties and weekly happy hours are held for those who want to chill with a nice glass of wine. And last but not least the key to all the wonderful features at the Gables is their dedicated and compassionate staff, who truly make an effort each and every day to provide a welcoming and caring environment to everyone here.

When he could no longer do activities, the staff was amazing helping him to get around and keeping his spirits up! The caring and professionalism extend throughout every aspect of the community. The staff readily identified health concerns and sought to remedy them by referencing patient history and reaching out to doctor. They offered a full calendar of activities each week, as well as 'pop-up' events like ice cream socials. Whenever I visited, there were always residents outside (weather permitting) enjoying the sunshine, getting some exercise, and being social with each other. During the last challenging six months of the coronavirus, my mother frequently voiced how safe and cared for she felt as everyone at the Inn scrupulously adhered to guidelines in order to protect residents. My family and I appreciate their commitment to building community, their collaboration with family, and their dedication to the health and welfare of the residents.
