April we call someone to look at our water heater he informed me their is a gas leak in the basement coming from he HVAC system. I called Mister Quick immediately, Nick informed me that when the HVAC system was installed it was installed improperly. It was leaking gas in 4 different locations from the gas pipe to the furnace. He spent 3 hours repairing the installers mess ups. I immediately started feeling better. The facial swelling and headache went away. 9 days free from a gas leak in my home and I'm feeling much better. My husband said our home could have blown up and that's also what the gas company told me when I reported Mister Quick. I live in Brown County and from now on when we get anything new added to our home we are going with a local company that has our best interest in mind.

I'm only giving them three stars because they did have some unique items inside. We did encounter two problems during our visit. The first was simply getting into the shop. There aren't any regular steps into the shop entrance. They have two unusually shaped stones stacked upon each other without any handrails to hold on as you step up into the shop. My wife has some physical restrictions and I had to hold her hand just to get her into the shop safely. I can't imagine how difficult to enter if there was ice. The second problem was that in the time we browsed through the shop, not one person appeared from the front of the building (maybe they live there?) We could see people through an open door but I felt uncomfortable walking through. So, nobody on duty to answer questions or help make a purchase. No bell to ring, or sign to welcome visitors back to the other part of the building. I honestly have no idea if they knew we were there. You will also notice that there is a strong smell of a home where smoking once was prevalent. I imagine that if you bought some wood or fabric items, you would have to leave them out to get rid of the odor. In fairness, I did see a number of unique items and the shop itself was easy to get around. The upstairs was closed off, so I don't know if there is anything up there worth viewing. Note: I also didn't see much lighting materials as is listed in the Yelp business name. There were a few fixtures and shades, but not so much that I would add it to the name. Overall, I was a bit disappointed in the lack of attention the owners/managers put into improving the customer experience. If you're looking for a professional and quality electrician who gets things done right the first time, you've come to the right place. I'm in the process of going through a relocation for my company and had to get some projects done quickly in order to get my home ready to sell. One of these projects was the replacement of a bathroom vent fan that had been installed in the home when it was built in 2004. Jason was more than happy to come out on the weekend to help me meet my required relocation inspection timeline. He came on Saturday to assess the issue and take measurements (the original fan and subsequently, the ceiling cutout, were oversized and kind of a strange shape). The next day, he set me up with a brand new fan that fit the existing ceiling cutout space. He had the entire thing installed and functional the first time and in just a couple of hours. I needed just a simple electric switch in my attic for the radon fan. Jason came over for a free inspection and did a pretty good job. He was so friendly and professional at the same time, that we ended up working with for our other projects like can lighting in the living room and basement lighting. He did all these jobs perfectly. Called my usual HVAC contractor who found that the issue was not my heating system but my electrical panel/breaker box that he discovered was billowing smoke. So, had to get an electrician. A Family member recommended Kinder Electric but unbeknownst to me they were now part of Mister Quik. Some guy named Christen did the initial assessment and we determined that the box would need to be replaced/upgraded after noting several melted components. His initial estimate was about $7500. I had no idea whatsoever what replacing an electrical panel would cost with materials and labor...kind of took his word on it and agreed to the work. He said a few technicians would be at my house in a little bit to start on it. After he left I thought about maybe getting some other estimates so tried to cancel when they immediately took 10% off the initial price. Now it was $6740. I thought fine, I'm freezing my ass off and was dealing with work issues. Just wanted it replaced. Incredibly STUPID on my part. My neighbor who is a Union electrician x 50yrs and a project manager for Ermco told me I got royally screwed. He gave me an example of what parts/materials and 10hrs of labor with a union electrician along with a 25% markup would cost for the same electrical panel...the MAXIMUM, according to him, would be $2700. Doing other research I found most replacements to be in the $1200-$2000 range. This panel is on the far wall of my garage. There was no major rewiring or anything like that. The technician was done in about 4 hours (was just one guy). I got no itemized bill showing the broken down cost of materials and labor. Just one blanket price for the whole job including a $638 fee for a permit (???) So, I was basically overcharged more than $4000 for something that could've been done much, much cheaper had I only checked around. I'll be contacting the BBB and the Indiana Attorney General so they are aware of Mister Quik's shady business practices
