The technician, Art, was able to figure out the problem and fix it while also giving us some tips for our A/C upkeep that'll help to maintain our system and hopefully make it last a bit longer. I would give this company zero stars if I could! We had a new HVAC system installed in September, but the whole insolation process took untill January. First off the sized our furnace too big for our home. They sold us a unit to cool and heat 3000sq feet, and our home is half that size. September was when I started ill with headaches and respiratory issues. I needed a lung biopsy. Biopsy showed no bacterial of fungal infection. Doctor said it was air contaminates causing my breathing problems. That was October. Christmas rolls around and I'm still ill. April we call someone to look at our water heater he informed me their is a gas leak in the basement coming from he HVAC system. I called Mister Quick immediately, Nick informed me that when the HVAC system was installed it was installed improperly. It was leaking gas in 4 different locations from the gas pipe to the furnace. He spent 3 hours repairing the installers mess ups. I immediately started feeling better. The facial swelling and headache went away. 9 days free from a gas leak in my home and I'm feeling much better. My husband said our home could have blown up and that's also what the gas company told me when I reported Mister Quick. I live in Brown County and from now on when we get anything new added to our home we are going with a local company that has our best interest in mind. read more

They were very quick to respond and have the emergency installation done and replaced our 17 year old water softener that was leaking a lot. The installation was great and efficient but didn't maximize the space. I should have made suggestions on the placement. The biggest let down was the sales rep. When quote was given, there was no breakdown of the cost, just the total. I didn't get the chance to think through it as we had a lot going on. Once everything has settled down. I called them to give me a breakdown of the cost and the optional labor warranty just included without it being mentioned if I wanted it. It's $700. I didn't appreciate the sneaky tactic the sales rep did. They did refund me the labor warranty after couple email follow ups as it took some time for them to respond. So for service quality, I would recommend, but from their sales tactics, I wouldn't. But I recommend that customers insist on getting the breakdown of the cost so you'll understand what you're getting. read more

We called Mr Quick to have our water heater drained for yearly maintenance. The tech showed up and was unable to drain it due to sediment from hard water that had formed ( the water heater is 10 years old ... so at the end of its life). We asked for quotes to replace the unit as well as a quote to install a water softener. The quotes were outrageous! We asked for 4 quotes... one for a tankless water heater plus a water softener....$19,316! The next was for a 50 gallon tank water heater with a 10 year warranty plus a water softener....$13 , 023. The next quote was for a 50 gallon water heater with a 6 year warranty plus a water softener....$12,083. To have just a 50 gallon water heater with a 6 year warranty no water softener was $4500! Today we had another company come out and Mr. Quick was at least double the price of the company that came out today on all of the quotes! plus we had used the other company numerous times and have always been happy with their prices and service. The only reason we called Mr. Quick to begin with was that they had installed our old water heater 10 years ago. DO NOT trust their pricing ! They are at least double other reputable companies! Gavin and Christian were at my condo to bid on a small ceiling fan replacement for my loft. But first, without permission, they decided to mess around with my circuit breaker box, removing the door and frame from the rest of the box. Tried to sell me an unnecessary surge protector. Replaced the frame incorrectly leaving an unpainted area visible. Wtf! The insane quote for a 45 minute job was $260. $260!! I politely declined the quote and hired Frantz for $110. Strongly cautioning others to look elsewhere. My experience with Mr. Quik was extremely disappointing and felt like price gouging. I contacted them in January to replace my furnace and was initially quoted over $24,000. After pushing back, they offered a so‑called "low‑end" option for over $14,000, which was still wildly inflated. What really alarmed me was learning that more than $5,000 of that $14,000 was labeled as "administrative fees" -- not labor, not parts, just fees. On top of that, the quote included over $1,500 in charges for items that were either never performed or never approved, which I had to actively dispute to get refunded. They would have kept my money if I had not said anything!!! I escalated my concerns to a manager, and NOTHING was done to address the situation or take accountability other than giving me back just the $1500 that should not have been charged in the first place. There are plenty of reputable HVAC companies annd independent contractors out there that do not operate this way. I strongly recommend saving your money and choosing one of them instead. I had been a customer before this incident, but after this experience, I will NEVER hire Mr. Quik again. Buyer beware. Better yet, spend less for the same service somewhere else! read more

The only negative about the place was it's kinda expensive but if you need the job done quick could do it in fact I'm gonna be calling them pretty soon to get my plumbing work done. On August 20, 2025 Mr. Quik came out for our annual HVAC inspection and confirmed what we knew this time last year, that we would need a new AC unit. Close inspection was done and followed up by one of their trusted advisors whom we've come to know over the years. Our new system was installed the very next day. The two guys who came out were thorough, neat and complete. One was inside for the breakdown, while his partner was outside preparing for the transition of the unit with removal, new pad and ultimately seating the new unit. They had it all up and running within about 4.5hrs. They cleaned up after themselves, explained everything to me and were on their way. We couldn't be more happier and can tell the difference between the old unit and the new one, complete with a new Ecobee thermostat. We've been using Mr. Quik for about 8yrs now and have been completely satisfied with the service, preventative maintenance and sales when it's been warranted. read more

They came out for what they call a Pit Stop for 89.00. This did not include any cleaning like other companies do for the same price. They then made a video claiming my system was in dire need of replacing. I had 2 other companies come out for 2nd opinions and quotes. They had opportunity to verify Mr Quick's tale and make money for replacing my unit themselves. Both told me that my system was fine!!! and it is not unusual for someone to call them for 2nd opinion after homeowners get this kind of false scare tactic. Plumber from Mr. Quick called at the time they were supposed to be at the house and said he couldn't do the work because the valve led to an irrigation system. It is a simple ballcock shutoff valve. I hate making a post like this, but it's to serve as a reminder to be very cautious when having service techs come to your home. We contacted Mister Quik because the prior owners of our home had used for service on our furnace. I should mention that we hadn't noticed any issues, simply wanted a routine check prior to the summer so we paid for the yearly service. The tech came out and inspected everything, and said we had some mold on the upstairs unit, and it needed some cleaning and they could install equipment to keep that from happening in the future. On the basement unit, I was told we had a cracked heat exchanger, and that it was leaking carbon monoxide. He shut off the gas to the furnace because he told me it was too dangerous to leave because of the fire potential. He said if we wanted to turn it on we could, but legally, he could not do that. I explained we have carbon monoxide detectors in the house, and even in the room where the one furnace is located. He disregarded. He told me he could have his manager call and talk to me about the issues and get pricing and then he went outside. I told him I needed to get another opinion and discuss with my husband. He came back and started showing me the video of the furnace, and then showed me the first estimate of the cost to fix the issues. He said we needed a new furnace in the basement and the cost was $35,000 (yes thousand). At this point, in my mind, I didn't believe anything to be wrong with the furnace and just felt something wasn't right. And WHO pays that much for a furnace!!!! I told him I needed a second opinion and told him he could leave. He wanted to keep talking, but I said you need to leave the premises and he walked off and I closed the door. I contacted an HVAC referral from my boss, and he came out and looked at both units and said there is NOTHING wrong with either unit, and essentially everything I was told was not correct as a scare tactic to make money. I just want to warn others that if something seems off, tell them you need another opinion and have them leave. I normally never do that, but this time I felt I was being taken advantage of and I wanted to share my experience with others. There are some very good techs and there are some very bad ones, so make sure you get a recommendation. Sometimes you can't be timid, and you need to speak up with you feel something isn't quite right. I should mention we did have them out prior to this due to an issue with a grinder pump in the basement needing replaced. Their price was $3500-$4700, and we used another local company that replaced it for $1200. I did call them at that time and asked about their pricing, and was told they aren't the least expensive option. But they essentially dismissed my concerns. read more

HVAC system stopped blowing hot air. Tech came out and lied to me several times about the issue and the fix. They first attempted to sell me an entirely new HVAC system for $25,000, keep in mind the system is only 7 years old. When I balked at that price they quoted me $8,000 to replace the compressor which I declined at the time. The next day I called to schedule the repair for a few days out and spoke to the dispatcher and they scheduled the repair and 10 minutes later the same tech calls me to lie to me again, this time saying that the compressor for my model of HVAC system has been discontinued so if I want heat then my only option is to buy the new system. He was very very aggressive in pushing me to just buy a new system so l called another company for a second opinion and they were able to fix it by replacing a blown capacitor for $150. The worst part is that I have young children in my home and it's winter so to try and make a sale their tech was willing to let children not have heat in the winter. It took the poor guy an hour and a half to find the issue but if found it and we got it fixed. I'm on the fence right now. The first time I called was for a plumbing, sewer line issue. We sent a request via the email or site at like 9 or 10pm, thinking they would contact us first thing in the morning, but they called immediately and set up an appointment for the morning. They came out and did a great job, Customer service was great. I could either pay the bill or pay for the yearly package of 199.00 and this plumbing issue would be free, so I opted to do that since I had canceled summers 2 or 3 years ago. Couple months later I scheduled my first free maintenance appt for the AC. The guy was great, nice, smart, thorough and gave us estimate We decided to have the blower motor pulled and cleaned and freon added since he said the numbers showed it needed done. The tech came out again, great knowledge professional service. He said the freon did not need to be added- which I love! He could have just did it and charged us and we would not have known but he said it honestly didn't need it and he didn't want to make us pay for something we didn't need. So only thing I'm on the fence about was the first guy trying to get us to pay for something we did not need? Was it an honest mistake- his equipment measured differently... I don't know. So I have 2 other maintenance appointments included with the yearly service and I will keep yall updated. Is 599.00 to much to pull and clean a blower? We were quoted for a new HVAC. Mister Quik's quote was $10,000+ more than every other quote we got (4 total). They use fear mongering tactics to try to get you to sign day of. Our technician wouldn't even turn the furnace back on because he warned us that it would light up in flames and he made it seem dire that we replace the HVAC that day. All 3 other companies that came out laughed when I told them this. They admitted that the heater would definitely lose efficiency but it's not a safety hazard. The last technician we had come to our house from a different company said that Mr. Quik is notorious for this kind of behavior. After this encounter I thought to myself "how can this be legal". Turns out Mr.Quik was sued a few years back for this exact same thing. We had our dryer vents and air ducts cleaned last year - over $1000. Fast forward to last week; our dryer caught fire - we decided to purchase a new dryer thinking it was an issue with the dryer itself. We had issues last year, but didn't think too much of it, as the dryer vents were just serviced. I called Mr Quik this week - just to double check the vents, they sent someone out and determined the technicians left a 7-foot piece of their equipment in our dryer vent that caused a major clog resulting in a fire. Our dryer vent was cleaned again, but there is so much condensation that the vent has wet lint that won't come off. I've asked to speak with a supervisor and it's been a little less than 48 hours, I called today and was told I have to wait the FULL 48 hours for a supervisor to call me. Customer service is deplorable. Bradley, who answered the phone was condescending and spoke to me like I am an idiot. I find it unacceptable to be put off when I'm calling about pure negligence on Mr Quiks part that caused a fire that could have burnt my house down and caused major harm to my family! Absolutely do not use this company. I'm sure their work is perfectly fine if you have money to set on fire and give them but the pricing was outrageous. I tried to call my initial installer and they couldn't come out until Wednesday, so I called Mister Quik as my AC went out on a Saturday in the summer. They came the next day (great!) and then proceeded to tell me I needed to pay $6,000 for the fixes - they're more than happy to help me fill out a loan application! Mind you, my HVAC is 2.5 years old. I knew something was fishy when before telling me any of the issues or the pricing, the tech/salesperson launched into multiple videos about the "great culture" and how the organization was such a "family", only to then hit me with 6k as the most expensive, and 3k as the more reasonable price. I then had my original installers come out for a free second opinion and they went down the quote sheet provided and did most of the stuff for free, while noting a lot of what was written was deeply unnecessary. We paid them to clean our dryer vent and fix the outside piece which they over charged us for compared to Stanley cleaner who was half the price. Also the tech forgot the piece to fix the vent and when we call to see if he was coming back they tried to charge us another $300. A mixed review on multiple services. I have used Mister Quik multiple times- a toilet leak, a plugged sewer line, and recently a water heater and sump pump replacement. I am always happy with their professionalism and knowledge- though they are in for the sale. This has never been more apparent than the recent visit. During the water heater replacement I signed up for the SHAPE plan to get a discount on the purchase and service - and to get more routine preventative maintenance. My first opportunity to use the SHAPE Plan was a AC maintenance rejuvenation. The person who came out was friendly and helpful with information, but honestly didn't do much and just tried to sell me a new HVAC system. He started by gaining trust. Hey - I see you have a dehumidifier- I think there is a recall and you can get some money for that. Then looking at the system- he said I had a plugged drain line (didn't fix or offer to), that I probably had mold (though he couldn't officially call it mold), that there was a lot of rust in the heat exchanger - especially on a very critical part. He checked the outside of the AC unit (didn't clean). Never added any coolant. And said my AC would fail the first time the temp hits 90 or very soon after. He also tried the whole- need to know by Sunday, don't call the office because you'd pay 10% more for a PM to quote. All in all - peaked my sense that this wasn't right. I had a close co worker, former HVAC TECH come take a look. He cleaned the outside of my unit, actually took a look and said it has many years left. It was 90+ all last week and the unit is working like a champ. Will be cancelling the SHAPE plan- it's not worth it if it's only an avenue for more sales and not a worth while preventative maintenance service. read more

My water heater was going out last Wednesday and I called Mister Quik. I had the same experience as many of the reviewers here; you call and they say they are sending a technician, but they are really sending a salesman. Sales man convinced me to purchase their SHAPE plan to check up on things like your HVAC and water heater and etc, but did not mention that the plan is self renewing (I will be cancelling before it renews). They pushed an AO Smith water heater and disparaged the maker of my old water heater. They also told me that it would take about an hour and a half, two hours tops to complete the install. It ended up taking them double that time. After the install was complete, the technician left me a note saying that "a heat duct may have separated when he drilled into the floor" and that he wanted a heating and air technician to come and look at it. The technician looked in my crawlspace today and sent me a picture of the duct separated...along with a quote of $983 to replace and connect the duct (TUH!) and $1400 to install a sump pump (which I do NOT need). These people have lost their minds. I believe these people are truly on a money grab. I will not ever recommend using this company for home repairs. A few days go by and turn heat back on and same problem, I call Mr quik and was advised we will have a senior tech come and fix it. well on first visit they never took it completely apart and checked it but this time they did and cleaned it I was charged for 2 service fees that 1 showed be waived due to them not cleaning it properly the first time that would of avoided a return call. I had frozen water pipes. I had no luck trying to saw them myself. So I decided to call a plumber because of my age and recent knee replacement surgeries for both knees. I have a crawl space. Let me just say Mr quick is not so quick other than to answer the phone. They stated that they would send a guy out that day but at 8:00 p.m. The quote guy called me on the phone and said they were still backed up and would be a while before he could get there. He ended up just taking my information and situation over the phone and quoted me $560 for the first hour and $120 per every hour afterward. And stated they'd have a guy out at 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. the next morning. At 10:00 a.m. I got a call and was told that they are still behind and won't make that appointment. Duh, it's already past the time. But they would call me later with an updated time. They had not called for a couple hours and I called a local plumber and got a appointment for 10:00 a.m. The next morning. Meanwhile, my efforts to thaw my pipes out finally yielded some results. The electric heater I had put under the house had thawed them about 2:33 p.m. at that time I called and canceled the appointment with Mr. Quick and the local plumber as well. Their TV commercials where the guy shows up before they even hang up the phone. It's way over exaggerated. I will never call them again and always check with the local guys first. read more

When I called the company Zoe stated they had a lot of emergency call in and the were going to call me to reschedule. I informed her I had been without use of my kitchen for over 1 week and now they were going to put me off for another week. They did not call me to tell me they weren't coming. I called for an issue with my HVAC system. They immediately told me that I needed to replace both my furnace and outdoor unit. They quoted me approximately $16,000 to replace both units. I thought this was pretty expensive based on research and previous experiences. I called a Ferrer Mechanical for a second opinion. The outdoor unit only needed a new part, but the furnace needed replaced. Ferrer fixed my furnace and installed the part in the outdoor unit for $3,200. They also quoted me $11,000 for a new furnace and outdoor unit as a comparable to Mister Quik. I was very disappointed in their service. The worker was nice and professional, but I could not believe they tried to charge $5,000 more for the exact same product. Make sure you get a second opinion for your products. Mister Quik is in the business of making large commissions off people with little HVAC knowledge. read more

I now have a debt and the initial problem still exist. Who replaces a water heater and does not remove the old one. Who lays pipes for a water line and does not put down proper support (peat)? Who leaves openings uncovered? What plumber called because of water in the basement cusses, fusses and walks off the job? Yours.....
