It is hard to find a hair place that you are happy with! My hair stylist from 15 years retired and left the country. Searching for new place and someone to trust is hard. Decided to give this place a try considering its close to where I live and convenient. I am definitely happy with my hair stylist and I love my hair outcome. I did balayage as well as highlights, I was happy with both procedures but more with the highlights. Place is not overpriced and inside is very much like typical salon. After my fourth visit to The Elite Group, I feel it's time to write a review to let everyone know about their STELLAR service. The only service I've received so far are blowouts but if they handle me so well for a blow out every time, I'm very exited to come back for a cut or color. From the moment they answer the phone, to scheduling and pricing, everyone is super sweet and very accommodating. They have repeatedly made last minute arrangements to take me in on my lunch hour and make sure to have my hair done and out the door in 45 min or less. So appreciated! Every stylist has done an amazing job and understands blow outs better than your typical "blow dry bar". I don't have to explain much, they just get it. Great shampoo and massage comes with it and you're offered water or wine with your experience. The interior is large, clean but cozy with great Amber lighting (not harsh). Lindsey is the best! There's no other way to put it. She is so sweet and always knows exactly what to do to my hair. I just sit down and she takes care of it! And don't even get me going on the head massage during the wash.... I'm tempted to not even leave this review because I'm afraid everyone will go and I won't be able to get an appointment. Just got my balayage done there today. And honestly I'm very disappointed. My husband scheduled an appointment for me and only mentioned that I'll need to color my hair. When I got there, I did showed the picture of how I want my hair to look like and my colorist said that it's possible, but would take a while. So, she had next appointment after me. At the end she did 5 min of blow drying, but my hair were still wet. When I asked her to finish the blow dry, she said that my husband only scheduled me for color, not a blow dry and that she needs to serve the next client. All other workers were busy and I didn't wanted to wait for someone else honestly. After my hair got dry, I saw that the color is more yellow blonde, but I wanted to be a cold blonde. Which is a big difference I believe.. it cost me 250$, but I felt myself like I've been in cheap Asian salon , where people don't really care about customers and let them go home with wet hair. I don't want money return and not into coming back. But I hope, my review could be helpful for someone. I'll attach pictures that I took today right when I got back home. At Elite Hair Salon they offer a signature "SHAMPAGE". LET ME EXPLAIN TO YOU~ I have had many scalp massages and I have never had a more wonderful experience compared to JOEY!!! This young man has a god given gift, Angel hands!!!! I went to heaven & back, how do I describe pure bliss??? This service is so good for your hair, scalp & not to mention YOU!!!! I have been going to Elite Group for sometime and I used to see a stylist name Marisol she was the best haircutter I have ever experience and every friend I sent there to see her told me the same. Unfortunally, she left and I starting seeing Kerry not as awesome as Marisol, but I always felt comfortable because she would listen to me still do a good job. One day I decided I wanted a little change for my long hair and thought that I needed to go to a place that you paid for knowlegde to get what you want. So I went to Elite Group and saw that Flo Briggs was working there I knew her from Yellow Strawberry where I saw many beautiful hair creations from her. Most would agree that she did not have personality but she WAS talented. I showed up to see her at Elite hair SHOWED her a PICTURE of the desired hair and ask for her opinion in hair color. I know she had the best intentions at heart, but what happened after was a traumatic experience that I dont wish upon anybody thats why I am writting here. She razored cut my thick hair into a crazy square mullet. I looked in the mirror and knew I was up for trouble, very gentle I ask her if she could just do a little something about the way the ends looked cause I wanted more shaped... BAD MISTAKE! ( my hair was not frezee at all but it looked) I am a hairstylist and anyone with thick hair that gets a razor gets freeze looking hair sometimes... Anyway, thats was when she grapped my hair pulling it so hard in a pony tail with her hands and she razored all off (my scalps was sore for weeks not to mention I was burned with the color which I can still feel it. ) I took my glasses off because I could see that mentally she was not following any procedures and as a professional I could tell that she was lost with what she was doing. I understood that she is an old lady and I never thought that age was playing an impact on her ability. I also understand that I dont have easy hair to work on. Is not curly but is thick and alot of it. All the hair I was so careful in trying to grow was gone, the cut was terrible, the color horrible and I had the worse pain in my scalp and I was short $160 dollars. It was a treat for me to go there. When my husband saw me he said nothing, he looked sad and asked me, Why did she do that to you??. My best friend wanted me to complain to the owner about it. I just could not because I just felt terrible for Flo Briggs after so much sucess in her life was now working for what used to be her assitant at her old age and mentally not there at all. She was just trying to make money with hair... I would not want to be in her shoes, but strongly feel she should "GIVE UP the hair business and enjoy retirement with her husband" I dont feel pretty, I cant get it fix cause she cut my hair so short my head looks big ( which is exactly what I ask for to please be careful) and I always get all of my friends and hair clients saying to me... what did you do to your beautiful hair..... It will take a long time to overcome this.... never knew how a hair experience could be a traumatic, cause I am not a vain person at all ... If you go to Elite Group Salon Please dont see Flo Briggs see anyone else, because she does not care about the person. I know this ! There are good professionals there.... Well i live fairly close to this salon and decided to treat my self. I was very unhappy with the service i received from a young man name Gavin. First he was talking to me about his personal problems with his bf and what not which i found unusual and unprofessional. Now lets get to the hair cut i told him i have thin hair and want to just trim the ends to make it appear my hair is thicker... Not only did he not do that he took off way too much and when i told him i said just a trim he laughed it off and said it will grow back . I will never go back to this salon again and I highly dont Recommend people trying GAVIN . read more
