Bill Baber handmade the most beautiful knitwear clothes. They sell a vast range of jumpers, jackets, dresses, skirts, tops and accessories, all of which are made with organic and natural fibres. I love to come here and admire the gorgeous clothes. I bought a jumper here last year, which is lovely and thick and I wear all the time in winter and it is so warm - was such a good buy! The clothes in this store are really classic and so they won't go out of fashion in the blink of eye like most clothes in the shops. I bought a brooch here a few month ago for a friends birthday and she loved it - I wish I had bought one for myself too as it was beautiful. The clothes are of an excellent quality, and the prices are really reasonable, with jumpers costing around £60 so it is fantastic value for money. Basically you design your T-shirt on their website, send off a few details and hey presto, they send you your brand spanking new t-shirt. You can do pretty much anything with the designs, whether you just want text, or a logo or both. The text can be changed to the correct size and font and can be printed on the front and back. You can get t-shirts printed from £12 and hoodies from only £20 which is pretty good value seeing as you get to design them yourself. They generally take about a week to come through and if you have any problems you can email them or just pop down to Rose Street. They have a women's shop and a separate men's shop two doors down, but we were mostly interested in a high quality wool suit for him. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by friendly staff and it almost felt like a personal shopping experience. I can't remember the name of the gal who helped us, but she must've gone up and down their stairs 5 times to check for sizes and different cuts for us. She was also incredibly helpful in sizing my partner and making sure he left with an impeccable 3-piece suit. It never felt pushy, just super helpful. HIGHLY recommend! You don't have to get a full suit- they've got great cashmere and coats as well as scarves and other accessories.

My husband shops here all the time and they have really helped him find shapes, colours and styles that suit. They have a good range - smallish but mostly clothes you won't get in most other shops in town. They have started doing women's clothes now and when I have lost 2 stone going to treat myself to a spree. Brands include; Energie, Blood and Glitter, Wesc, Seven and much more. Don't come in here expecting to buy one t shirt and spend £30 - I popped in today to get a small Christmas present for husband and ended up spending nearly £300 on him - they did throw in a free pair of shoes though and he will look great over christmas. If you want to smarten up or smarten you man up - this is the place to go. Little gem in the centre of Edinburgh.
