Bill Baber handmade the most beautiful knitwear clothes. They sell a vast range of jumpers, jackets, dresses, skirts, tops and accessories, all of which are made with organic and natural fibres. I love to come here and admire the gorgeous clothes. I bought a jumper here last year, which is lovely and thick and I wear all the time in winter and it is so warm - was such a good buy! The clothes in this store are really classic and so they won't go out of fashion in the blink of eye like most clothes in the shops. I bought a brooch here a few month ago for a friends birthday and she loved it - I wish I had bought one for myself too as it was beautiful. The clothes are of an excellent quality, and the prices are really reasonable, with jumpers costing around £60 so it is fantastic value for money. I was taken into a small room to get measured and order my tartan etc, I was even offered a dram while I was there! Had only been in about a…read moreminute when my husband was looking at souvenir lapel pins on a small display carousel and as he pulled one off to look at it more closely, the leg of the stand dipped into a hole that was on the counter and dumped several of the pins onto the counter. We both immediately apologized and started trying to sort them but the young woman working there rolled her eyes, shook her head and never spoke a word to us as she rehung them. Not a "no worries" or "I'll get that" or anything. She was clearly put off as if he'd done it on purpose. Not sure why they'd put a display stand meant to turn on an unstable part of the counter anyway. These were not expensive items and nothing was damaged. After she completely ignored our apologies I told my husband that I wouldn't consider buying a single thing there and we left to spend around 200 pounds in stores that were incredibly friendly and helpful. The store might be amazing and she may not represent all of the staff there, but we were so humiliated by her attitude for a simple mistake that we didn't stay around to find out.

I was visiting from the U.S., and the shoes I chose to bring with me did not offer much support. She determined that I have incredibly high arches, and one foot was a bit larger than the other.
