Avoid this clinic. They are too busy to see you and worthless to patients in need.

Although I've used IUDs for birth control since 2008, I always experience a great deal of anxiety leading up to the procedure. When I'd met with Dr. Wu a few weeks back for the consultation, she'd suggested a prescription for Lorazepam to take 30-60 minutes prior to the appointment. She'd also recommended I take Alleve for the pain. With past providers telling me to take an Ibuprofen, this felt refreshing but more so, validating to have my pain taken seriously. During the appointment, Dr. Wu was kind, respectful and professional. She'd even asked if I needed another person in there for support and then brought back Heather, who was kind and supportive. Aside from some minor discomfort, this IUD replacement appointment was the least painful I'd ever experienced. This could be in large part to my body not needing to be dilated. Afterward, I told Dr. Wu how I would love for her to be the provider to replace this IUD when the time comes. It was the most positive and less painful IUD appointment I'd ever had and I have Dr.Wu to thank for that. Thank you, NWPC for a job very well done! I'm so happy to have you as my PCP!

The first time I went there, we arrived 20 minutes early. They told me I couldn't go to my appointment because I needed to be there 45 minutes early to fill out paperwork, even though I was originally told to arrive 20 minutes early. I needed an STI test done, and they told me I would have to wait weeks just to get an appointment. Today, I got a referral for OHSU. When I called them to see if my referral had come through, they told me it had not. So I called Pacific Northwest Primary Care to find out when the referral was being sent, and the receptionist told me it could take up to two weeks for a single referral. They also shut the entire place down during lunchtime. This is the worst provider experience I have ever dealt with in my many years on this earth. Whatever you do, don't come here. It's a shame because my primary care physician is great, but the rest of the place is just absolutely terrible.

It was done masterfully and though there are really excellent doctors at OSHU, this specialty department seems lacking on several levels, sad to say. The test results confirmed an endocrine problem and it was promptly treated by hormone therapy with a great outcome. Dr F most likely did me a favour by not wasting my time in her care, and I use the term "care" loosely. My blood pressure almost immediately dropped from 180/110 to a very normal range with a very reduced dosage of my former BP meds and it is no longer kidney damaging. I gave the kidney to my mother when I was in my early 20s, and ever since then I have found physicians to be especially attentive due to my status, with this sole exception.

There aren't enough words to describe what an amazing person Dr. Renee is. I feel like I could tell her anything (and I usually do, lol). She's extremely knowledgeable about body structure and systems, and her approach to acupuncture is unique and very cool! She explains her thought process and approach to care, particularly from a Chinese medicine perspective, in such a way that I truly feel like we're partners in my health and wellness journey. I've learned so much about how my body works, and each visit is followed up with customized recommendations (example: foods that are particularly nourishing in areas I might be deficient, based on her observations of my pulse, etc.) The office at Blossom Clinic is small but cozy and inviting, with soft lighting, air filters, aromatherapy, etc. They use high-quality products (for example, I had cupping done today with organic Jojoba oil). They're located next to Whole Foods (on the left, and up the stairs, kind of hard to find--for me anyway), but very convenient for picking up some groceries before or after my visits. They do not accept insurance but do provide detailed bills that I can submit for reimbursement from my health plan. I have not met with any of the other practitioners, so I can't comment on them. Overall, an extremely pleasant and personalized experience that I highly recommend! Their practice seems to be mostly focused on fertility-related care, but they are also here for women at all stages of life.

It was WILD, beautiful and amazing.

As a Type 1 Diabetic for 30 years, I've had a lot of unimpressive Doctors. I left in happy tears. To hear a doctor say, I'll fight your insurance company, you will always be able to reach me, and yes let's get you what you need right now, was something I've never experienced in a doctor's office before. I know everyone will not always have the same experience as I did, but Dr. Harkens made me feel like I have someone on my side as I attempt to manage this very inconvenient disease.

Sadly I couldn't get my A1C under control no matter how good my diet was or exercising. I exercised six days a week running about 35 miles a week, maybe more. My PCP at the time ridiculed me for being a flippant diabetic for not taking my diagnosis seriously. I asked her if she could send me to a diabetes doctor. News to me at the time there were Doctors called Endocrinologist. I made an appointment to see Doctor Neifing. What a great move on my part. Met with Doctor N and he listened to me. I explained that I was an active person running at least six days a week, eating as best as I could, but my A1C results were high. He seemed perplexed about my medical story. He tested me to find out that I was a type 1 insulin dependent diabetic. From that point forward my A1C began to get into control. I owe all this to Doctor Neifing. Getting a CGM (Continuous Glucose Meter) was a game changer. Doctor Neifing knows that diabetes is an expensive disease to keep controlled. He often gives his patients drug samples to offset costs. Assists with insulin copay cards to lower the financial burden for his patients. I can't say enough about his compassion. I'm worried that I will eventually lose him to retirement, but that is life. Thanks Doctor N for giving me an extended life! Now the Clinic. Yes it is a carousel of patients and they do get you in/out quickly, but isn't that health care in the present day? Sadly the answer is yes.
