The frontdesk lady that sat there wasn't pleasant at all.not friendly, had an attitude and bitchy telling me that they dont offer the service im needing. She added that she ddnt know of any place that has xray. A person like that should have not been the first person greeting people. I feel sorry for everyone she would have talked to especially the only reason people go there is they are not well, they dont deserve to be talked to like that. 8/28/24@430 pm.

My insurance said that Creekwood Family Care was in-network, so I scheduled an appointment. When it was a 5-month wait to get an appointment, that should have been red flag #1. When I finally had my appointment, I was shocked to receive a bill for $300. The doctor stated that he "diagnosed" me with a condition via a paper form, which cost $100 and I would have refused to fill out if I knew that. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. They only gave me a three-month prescription and I called this afternoon to request a refill because I will be leaving the country next week and need enough to take with me. They told me that I was told to return to their office before I could get the additional refills, which was never stated. When I told them the situation with me leaving the country in less than a week, they did not care. Luckily, it turns out that my insurance offers online visits so there's no reason for me to ever return to this office, a true representation of everything that is wrong with the U.S. health care system. I will not be returning! What a disaster.

Aiden and Tiffany, serving in the ER, are outstanding examples of what you can expect in the ER and elsewhere throughout the hospital. Nurses Enrique, Michelle and Makayla Top Notch caregivers on the 4th Floor N Unit. The professional technicians: Richard and Arlene [portable X-Ray team] Mary in the CT Scan area, Austin who conducted my small bowel follow through and WENDY Ultra Sound operator extraordinaire !!! from the Imaging Department cannot be surpassed. One of the housekeeping crew is so sweet! Milinda was super - - dedicated to her work and engaging with those hospitalized. On another note - - the hospital food is VERY good! Kudos to the kitchen crew and Bernadette who delivered my meals. I was particularly impressed with the treatment rendered by Dr. Mattias D'Anna. Dr. Mattias D'Anna is a hospitalist at CenterPoint Medical Center. He has called on me on two of my separate hospitalizations. He's kind, knowledgeable and a wonderful communicator. He has a gift for using layman's terms to explain medical conditions, their impact on my wellness and how best to move forward. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Was then put in a holding area for patients they wanted to admit. Sat in a small empty room with a curtain for hours and 0 care. Had a doctor finally come talk to me with a "guess" on what the diagnosis could be. Hours more go by, again have to use the call button to get any answers. Suddenly I'm being moved upstairs and a surgeon will come and talk to me?! Get upstairs finally get some treatment. The RN didn't even understand what the doctor was doing. The surgeon seemed annoyed he was called because I was fine. Stayed over night wanted to leave the next day. Suddenly I'm to low on potassium. I'm like cool I'll do that then leave. "Oh no we don't plan to do any more labs today." Excuse me? And then suddenly I'm low on magnesium and have to get treatment for that too? Like I felt better and I wanted to go home and they were constantly trying to unnecessarily keep me. They could send me home with a prescription. Misdiagnosed, no communication, unnecessary tests. This hospital was a joke. I had to threaten an ama just to get out of there. Find somewhere else!

There is no point in making an appointment. I waited from 11am to 530pm after making an…read more"appointment". The woman at the front desk was going on and on about how much she hates her job. Loudly. Multiple people were looking at her and one lady left, shaking her head. Now, those things are frustrating, but I would deal with that over again if I never had to meet Russell Vanderlinden. NP Russell Vanderlinden is HORRIBLE. He came into the room, before asking me any questions whatsoever, and IMMEDIATELY started criticizing me for having my fallopian tubes removed, when he had no idea WHY I had to have it done. He asked me why I would want to remove a 'perfectly good part of my body' (hey jerk, it WASN'T a perfectly good part of my body, and it HAD to be done). This had absolutely nothing to do with why I was there. He did not ask my medical history. He did not ask my current medications. When I told him why I was there, he said, "well, unfortunately, I can't send everyone like you to the hospital." I had not even mentioned anything hospital-worthy, and I never found out what he meant by "everyone like you". He also claimed my complaints were "odd shit", and he got extremely uninterested. Next, he came back to the room 30-45 minutes later and asked, "ADHD or autism?" I asked him to clarify, and he said I must have "something like that wrong with me" and asked me which one I have. Lastly, he didn't know what was wrong, so he prescribed me a steroid prescription and muttered something about "odd shit" again. By the end of this visit I felt extremely unheard, disrespected for choices I made (and HAD to make) with my own body, and overall frustrated. People like this man are why so many people, especially women, are ignored and treated poorly in medical situations. I will NEVER go here again, and I hope Russell eventually gets his license taken away. He is a garbage human being, and I hope someone treats him the way he treats his patients.

I booked an appointment to see Dr. Wennerstrom because McDonagh (the founder, Dr. McDonagh no longer attends patients) Center is the only place where I might have the opportunity to be treated in a hyperbaric chamber for its regenerative healing. I have a torn tendon behind my kneecap, and though I was in no pain, I knew it was a serious injury, and a later MRI confirmed the rupture. Dr. Wennerstrom's office asks patients to fill out maybe 5 different forms. This appointment was made almost 6 months in advance. Wennerstrom is the only doctor here. Using one's health insurance is not an option for patients, so an emphasis of said forms is commitment to pay for future treatment if deemed necessary, which may include a vitamin regimen which she solicited to me during our visit. There was a weird, IMO, forced pride about the clinic's "decision" [ though I have NO proof, after my experience I tend to believe no health insurance would validate the service one receives here as justifiably medical] to not be 'part of the health insurance cartel'. There were other red flags I sensed, but the obvious shift in tone when I divulged I'd received COVID vaccines should have been enough to break the spell for me that I was not in an objective physician's care. Long story short, without asking permission to do so, Dr. Wennerstrom began manipulating my affected leg, putting strain I'd avoided since the injury to my tendon's raw end which became painful and inflamed later that day. This was pain I had not before experienced. I should have stopped her right away, but did not. I was given pamphlets about vitamin deficiency, and another about HIV, which I found presumptuous and not in any sense germane to the reasons I made my visit there. I had listed my husband as my emergency contact. I have no intention of returning. My visit cost $250+. She irresponsibly, aggressively, and without any knowledge of the possible seriousness of my rupture, aggravated a known injury for no reason whatsoever. I just wanted to use the hyperbaric chamber to increase blood flow to the healing gap where the tendon became unattached. I sense the reputation of the late Dr. McDonagh created a lot of good will Dr. Wennerstrom is now attempting to monetize. There are so many red flags here. Heed them.
