Came in here as a Hail Mary of sorts. I have been searching for a movie and video game recently, but was striking out at other places that might have them. I have not been in one of these in some time and was hoping to find the buried treasure I was in search of. I first went to the comedy section of DVDs and had low hopes of finding a copy of a certain DVD. I searched and searched for months for this movie and was coming to the realization that I was just never going to find it. After searching, alphabetically, I was able to finally see it, and at the price they had it at, it was finally coming home with me. I was in high spirits after finding a copy of the movie I was searching for I decided to tempt fate and see if they had the video game I was searching for as well. I thought I might have been getting my hopes up, but in the end, lightning struck twice. They had the video game I was searching for for months. And at a fair, much less price than big box stores. The customer service here was amazing as well. The employee was very happy that they were able to fulfill my wants here and I was able to purchase my two things that have been on a list for a while. read more

Decided to take my SEALED copy of Zelda:TOTK Collector's edition to maybe sell. They didn't say a word to me but took it upon themselves to OPEN it and make sure it was legit. If they had asked if it was okay I would have declined. Then after telling its police to open them to make sure it's legit. Only to later switch the story to say it looked tampered with and that's why. After speaking to a manager and an owner their offer to make it right was $60..... I give @exchangestores 1-10 for customer satisfaction. Do better. read more

Does this place have a decent selection of used DVD, Games and BluRay? Yes, it really does and for the most part, their prices are mostly fair. However, I believe that the employees (or the store) should probably re-think their act of following customers pretty much the entire time you're in the store. Customer service is one thing, but lurking around in the background when people are trying to browse through the selection is a bit much. Seriously, I'm trying to look at stuff to buy, I don't need someone to ask me if I need help every two minutes. If you are that bored and need something to do, I'm sure that something can be cleaned. And if you are in the habit of treating everyone like a potential thief when they're in your store, I have no issues taking my money to eBay. Haven't had hardly any problems finding something I was looking for, or any trouble with the staff. Used consoles are generally looked after and taken care of. Used media is almost always in GC, including packaging. Staff are always helpful. I'll go here before I go to any of the other major retailers. read more

This is a second hand store that sells used DVD's, Games, and other miscellaneous items, however, they tend to sell their used products for more than what they sell new at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Amazon, and other stores. They feel that they are justified as long as the customer is willing to pay that price. I recently bought a DVD for $14.00. When I got home, I searched Wal-Mart and Amazon, and they both have the same movie for $8.95 new with free shipping. Best Buy has it for $9.99. People must avoid this place at all cost, for if "The Exchange" does not take the time to research the prices of their inventory so as to be fair to the customer, then they apparently do not care about their customers, but instead of just making money; which happens to be at our expense. I can't blame this store for this issue, for it is happening in all "The Exchanges" in both Pennsylvania and Ohio, therefore, it must be a corporate issue, which needs to be addressed, for if this is the way they feel about their customers, then they should not be in business. All their prices are exceeding that of the internet such at sites like: Ebay, Mercari, Amazon, Wal-Mart, etc. Considering that one has to spend time getting to the store, money on gas, and other obstacles along the way, one would think that their prices would be lower than the internet. With the click of a button, I can buy anything I want, however, shopping at an "Exchange" could be a challenge: paying for gas, taking time out of my busy day to go to the store, fighting traffic to get to a store, searching the entire inventory of the store, trying to find someone to help you, and waiting in lines to pay for the product. With all this extra hassle, you would think that "The Exchange" would lower their prices below that of the internet, for the push of a button would save me half a day and a lot of money in gas. With all that, it shows just how much "The Exchange" cares about its customers. read more

I decided to purchase a original Playstation and did not receive the RCA connector a necessary component to use said system. I was told everything was included with said system. so when I went home and did not see the RCA connector I believed they must have made a mistake (no big deal). I return and explain I didn't receive the connector and the who I believe is the manager explained I would have to buy one. Keep in mind I returned with a receipt and only a hour after my purchase. Although the assumed manager was extremely rude the other staff were very friendly and helpful. If you do shop here make sure everything they say is included is actually there. read more
