Well this is my third review of this place. The employees are incredibly rude and after bringing my glasses back three times my prescription is still wrong. Only go here if you want to throw your money in the garbage and be treated like a fool by their inept team. read more

I hope anyone reading this review understands that this location should never be considered for your eye care. I wish I had noticed beforehand that it already had a bad rating before choosing it. Waited 3 months after making appointments for 2 children in school. Go in for the appointment and the front desk that they had cancelled the appointments. Told me then they are booked till December. Are you for real front desk person? Then was told to try the Manhattan location. Never had a missed phone call, voice message, email or text for cancellation. The staff was super friendly and pretty professional. The optometrist was very conversational and made me feel comfortable. I got a pair of glasses there last year, paid a little over $400. This year I brought my own frame and they wanted to charge over $600, needless to say I declined. The clincher was the reason for the increase: "I no longer qualified for a discount since I brought my own frame." I felt so insulted, they could've made up a better excuse than that. I received no discount last year when I bought my frames there. I realize that the staff just has to follow direction, and has no control over any of that. Whoever runs that outfit has a problem with greed, a quality I have an aversion to. I'm very disappointed because I did like the staff at the EyeDoctors, but I despise greed and therefore I have to switch to another optometrist. read more

Don't go here! When they called me to schedule my yearly eye exam i asked them specifically if my 2 year old son would be able to accompany me to my appointment because I could not get a sitter. They said that it would absolutely be okay and they'd make a note of it for my file and on the appointment; awesome right? Well I got there and acted very standoffish and said they needed to talk to the doc. They turned us away. I wouldn't have been mad if they told me flat out on the phone that he couldn't go. I could have scheduled it farther out and gotten a sitter. Now I've spent the entirety of my morning getting myself and my toddler ready only to get our hands sanitized. The staffs lack of communication and rudeness makes driving to Manhattan worth it. Don't go here! read more

The Doctors are great. That being said the front of the house needs some management. Today I took my sons glasses in they got damaged over the weekend and the ladies at the counter just gave me a pad of paper and said name, dob, and phone number someone would call when the repair was finished. Inwas not even able to talk to someone about the warranty. They were just down right rude to me and my son. This is not the first time that I've been treated like this at this location. This place is horrible! The prices are ridiculous too! The girl at the front desk should smile and greet everyone with a "good morning, how are you today," the tech that did the first part of the eye exam should have introduced herself and maybe smile, she looked like she hated the world. The doctor was the only best thing about this place. The lady that was helping my daughter get glasses seemed like she was better there everyone else, not 1 time did she smile. All the workers seemed to hate their job! I will never go back to this place! read more

I called from Kansas City to get my 10 year old grad daughters prescription so I could get her new glasses. They were to email it to me. I called twice on a Saturday. They said they would and they did not. I guess they don't care if you can see or not. She is 10. So sad. It is too late to send it now. Whoever I talked to said they would do it. I called twice. So, I have gone here before with good results. This time was not so good. I had an exam a few months back and decided that I would try contacts this time as I ride a motorcycle and its a lot easier to just put on a pair of sunglasses and be done. I ordered the contacts and when they came in I was contacted and told that they were in but I needed to have a class on them first and that the person was not in to do the class. I figured when they came in they would call me. Three weeks went by so I called back. I advised that I could not come in until after 4 pm because of work they told me that they don't do the class that late. I said fine I will just pick them up and will figure it out. I picked them up after 4 that day and a young lady assisted me with putting them in. Great. She told me that I would keep them in for 2 weeks until my next appointment on the 3rd of January. Got it. So morning 3 of having them in I wake up eyes pasted shut. I got them open and was still unable to see clear out of my left eye. This was not right so when they opened I called them. I was told that I should not have left them in at night and to take them out throw them away and put a new pair in. Got it. I couldn't get the left one out. My eye was very bloodshot. I called back and advised that I couldn't get it out. I was told to get there by 4:15 otherwise the Dr. would leave and I would have to go to the ER. I made it there in time. They asked for my ins card and I told them that I had VSP and VA. Now VSP was good enough for the eye exam and to purchase the contacts but not for this.??? The manager a short lady with a nasty attitude told me very loudly where everyone could hear that we don't accept VA, we cant get paid by them. I said ok just give me my prescription and Ill go elsewhere. She said I cant give that to you because something is wrong with it. I said look lady either get this out of my eye or give me my prescription. She said hang on and went and talked to Dr. Frontino. She came back and told me the Dr. would get it out for me. GREAT. after getting it out the Dr. became nasty tempered and said if I should go else where. I said yes mam and asked for my prescription and left. Now I fought in 2 different wars and had 6 rotations between the two of them. I never thought that I would have been disrespected and embarrassed like that Office Manager did to me because I have VA for insurance. I thought that after my sacrifices I had earned it. On the way home I was thinking and she made me feel as if I was on welfare. I have 100% disability because of my injuries during my time of service. I never thought I would have been treated like that. Bottom line is if you have VA don't go to The Eye Doctor's in Junction City Ks. read more

Worst experience i've ever had. When i initially got my glasses, as soon as i put them on, my prescription was so off, everything was blurry. I was scheduled for another exam and after this one, my prescription was a little better but still kinda blurry. I recently went to another eye doctor and when he checked my precription from The Eyedoctors, he said that there was double the prescription than was needed. I will never go to them again. read more

I was very appreciative of how patient and friendly the staff and doctor were with my 9-yr old son. It was his first eye exam, and they made him feel comfortable. Picking glasses out was also fun, and Tori was so helpful. read more
