Weird spot. The dudes appear to enjoy the video display golf.. The bar is ok. Not a great location, gotta drive.

It was my friend Jane J's birthday on the weekend, and she refused to tell any of the guests what we were doing. When we pulled up to her place, our only instructions were to follow behind her, and try to keep up (she drives fast). We wound our way through the no-man's-land between Etobicoke and Mississauga until we ended up in the parking lot of a drab-looking building in an industrial park. The sign read eZone. "Oh," I said to myself, "we're going to an afternoon rave. Good thing I brought some crank." I was wrong. The eZone is a 30,000 "multi-dimensional sports and entertainment complex" that caters to kids and adults alike. They feature an arcade, billiards, a basketball court, cosmic bowling and Whirlyball. For those not up on their cart-sport hybrids, Whirlyball is a combination of bumper cars, lacrosse and jai alai. You drive bumper cars around a small rink chasing a whiffle ball with scoops -- which you then toss towards something like a basketball net. If this sounds like madness, it is, but it's a helluva lot of fun. More than an afternoon rave, even. Unfortunately, they are a bit disorganized here. Our host had arranged for laser tag following the Whirlyball, but apparently we had been double-booked with troupe of snot-nosed and surely undeserving kids. (I'm an adult, damnit. I finished UNIVERSITY.) Our guide grumbled something about "not being paid enough to deal with" this nonsense and set us up with some more Whirlyball instead, which we followed up with a rousing game of dodge-ball in the basketball court. I can't say I didn't have fun, so it was a net positive experience for me. I might have felt differently if I was footing the bill for this shindig however. IMHO management should have gone above and beyond to make this up to us. (Free drinks? Cosmic bowling? Handies?) All in all it was an enjoyable group event. Though the facilities can be so-so (some carts are fussy, and the balls and scoops are super fragile), you'll quickly lose yourself with all the fun you're having. Seems perfect for a corporate gathering or birthday party for the little kid inside you. Obligatory Title Pun: Get in thE ZONE. Menu Readability: Warning: their website features one of those heads that appears out of nowhere at talks at you. PLEASE REMOVE THIS. Need to mention: A point in Whirlyball is called a "whirlic." What this place teaches me about myself: There is a little kid inside of me. And there is a grumpy old man inside of him. (Matryoshka styles!)

The eZone would be a blast for a corporate event. We had a corporate event and the place had a lots to do for fun. Foodwise, I wasn't impressed as the pizzas were ok and dry. For activities, they have Whirly ball (bumper cars meet basket ball), laser tag, basket ball court and a mini arcade room with air hockey!!! Overall, Great fun, with very awesome decent service! Everyone was happy and had a great fun time!

Was initially hard to find this place as it's located on a back road behind Sherway Gardens. Very impressed with our server who was very friendly and helpful and efficient. The food was amazing especially the steak, one of the best I've ever had! Will definitely return :)

None of the mechanisms work and the staff don't pay attention to manually start them either. So basically you'll solve a problem and wait around and wonder for 20 mins why nothings moving even if you got it right from the start. Then you have to ask for a clue (which they won't give, it'll just be a condescending phrase that tells you to do what you've already been doing.) then after fighting with them for five min they'll realize it's their fault and manually start it, wasting not just our time but our money. 30 dollars a person is just ridiculous for what this is. If you want more fun lock yourself in a dark closet for 30 min and try to get out, you'll probably feel more satisfied anyways. I will say that we did ignore all of the red flags 1. The bad reviews online 2. The two groups that came out super pissed off before us fighting for refunds cause nothing worked for them 3. How the place looked So kinda on us but... Did this for group bonding and I will say we did bond pretty well over how terrible this was and how much we got scammed, so maybe if you want team bonding then this works for you idk? Definitely tests your teams patience....

So many rooms to go through that it made the experience well worth it. My only criticism would be the staff. We didn't escape the room and only had one section left to get through. When the staff came in telling us we were out of time, the normal procedure would be to walk us through what we had left. Instead, the guy said he was unable to finish a walk through because the next group had arrived. It seemed that he was unwilling to walk us through the remaining aspects because if he did, then he'd have to reset all the puzzles... I've been to quite a few escape room locations and never has this happened before, even if the next group had arrived.. Overall the Osaka High room was pretty cool, but I only wish I knew how it ended.....

I love pinball. I love a place that has good eats and drinks. GRETA has everything. It's street parking, which worked nicely when I got here on a Saturday night. I found a free spot and parked. I paid through the Green P app. There is also an underground parking lot on Portland Street that I've used. GRETA has two floors. There are bars on both floors. Hot foods, from wings, to mac and cheese, can be ordered on the top floor. I have a bunch of favourite games here. Classic arcade and pinball machines are on the lower floor. The world's largest Pac-Man machine and Whac-a-mole are upstairs. I like pop. It's Pepsi products here. The Diet Pepsi tasted crisp and refreshing, just as it should be. The bar drinks looked amazing. GRETA started in Calgary. There are now locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto. The concept is that you use a rechargeable RFID card to buy credits. Games range between four to twelve credits each. You can also opt for a timed play. You can get an hour of unlimited play, for instance. There are gaming happy hours. For example, if you drop by on a Tuesday or Sunday, you can play an hour's worth of games for $7. There are also food specials. This bar and arcade also has a dance floor. It's on the top floor. It gives off throwback vibes from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. I didn't order any food while I was here for an hour. At the Yelp event, GRETA was kind to provide spicy mac and cheese, and churro balls. Both were delicious. I do like the concept of playing a bunch of arcade and pinball games, and more, with the option of getting a drink or a bite to eat. I've been to Freeplay, which was great. I like GRETA more because the games are spaced out and you have more room to play. Staff were super friendly both times that I was here. It's a fun place. I'll be back for more fun! (78)
