    Rainy day golf

Weird spot. The dudes appear to enjoy the video display golf.. The bar is ok. Not a great location, gotta drive.

It was my friend Jane J's birthday on the weekend, and she refused to tell any of the guests what we were doing. When we pulled up to her place, our only instructions were to follow behind her, and try to keep up (she drives fast). We wound our way through the no-man's-land between Etobicoke and Mississauga until we ended up in the parking lot of a drab-looking building in an industrial park. The sign read eZone. "Oh," I said to myself, "we're going to an afternoon rave. Good thing I brought some crank." I was wrong. The eZone is a 30,000 "multi-dimensional sports and entertainment complex" that caters to kids and adults alike. They feature an arcade, billiards, a basketball court, cosmic bowling and Whirlyball. For those not up on their cart-sport hybrids, Whirlyball is a combination of bumper cars, lacrosse and jai alai. You drive bumper cars around a small rink chasing a whiffle ball with scoops -- which you then toss towards something like a basketball net. If this sounds like madness, it is, but it's a helluva lot of fun. More than an afternoon rave, even. Unfortunately, they are a bit disorganized here. Our host had arranged for laser tag following the Whirlyball, but apparently we had been double-booked with troupe of snot-nosed and surely undeserving kids. (I'm an adult, damnit. I finished UNIVERSITY.) Our guide grumbled something about "not being paid enough to deal with" this nonsense and set us up with some more Whirlyball instead, which we followed up with a rousing game of dodge-ball in the basketball court. I can't say I didn't have fun, so it was a net positive experience for me. I might have felt differently if I was footing the bill for this shindig however. IMHO management should have gone above and beyond to make this up to us. (Free drinks? Cosmic bowling? Handies?) All in all it was an enjoyable group event. Though the facilities can be so-so (some carts are fussy, and the balls and scoops are super fragile), you'll quickly lose yourself with all the fun you're having. Seems perfect for a corporate gathering or birthday party for the little kid inside you. Obligatory Title Pun: Get in thE ZONE. Menu Readability: Warning: their website features one of those heads that appears out of nowhere at talks at you. PLEASE REMOVE THIS. Need to mention: A point in Whirlyball is called a "whirlic." What this place teaches me about myself: There is a little kid inside of me. And there is a grumpy old man inside of him. (Matryoshka styles!)

The eZone would be a blast for a corporate event. We had a corporate event and the place had a lots to do for fun. Foodwise, I wasn't impressed as the pizzas were ok and dry. For activities, they have Whirly ball (bumper cars meet basket ball), laser tag, basket ball court and a mini arcade room with air hockey!!! Overall, Great fun, with very awesome decent service! Everyone was happy and had a great fun time!

Was initially hard to find this place as it's located on a back road behind Sherway Gardens. Very impressed with our server who was very friendly and helpful and efficient. The food was amazing especially the steak, one of the best I've ever had! Will definitely return :)

I came out here a couple days ago for a press conference and was once again impressed by the experience. The decor is clean and well-maintained, and there were a horde of servers on-hand after the event to dole out hors d'oeurves, including bruschetta, egg rolls, skewers with beef, cheese and peppers (so good) and more. The staff were all very helpful and directed people where they needed to go, and the conference went off without a hitch. Definitely a great place in the village if you're looking to host an event. Recommended.

Marlene did an amazing job with coordinating everything we wanted and hoped for our wedding. She was able to provide us with different options that worked out better for our guests and ourselves. The place looked amazing on our big day. The staff did a wonderful job making sure our guests were well taken care of. The food was great (nothing was brought out cold ) and their house wine was delicious. The price was a bit expensive (ie we had to provide our own head table and chair decorations/ back drops and lighting) however at the end you really do get what you pay for. Overall I was very happy with everything the hotel had to offer on my very special day!

My gf's sister got hitched recently and the wedding reception was held in this venue…read more I believe we were on the clubhouse side. Had a nice view of the outside (the way the patio lights were setup during nighttime was cool) and the inside of the venue had enough space to walk around. The main bar was pretty big and there were 2 bartenders working the night. The bald one was a MUCH superior bartender in my honest opinion. He had banter, could make drinks well (creatively added some small flair to a lot of the standard drinks that guests were asking him to make) and also gave professional suggestions whenever he felt appropriate. The other bartender (who had curly hair and looked really young) was, I assume, quite inexperienced. There were times throughout the night where I approached him and he was on his phone scrolling through youtube. He made me the wrong drinks twice which was funny. I asked him for a tequila sunrise and he gave me a sex on the beach. I ordered a shirley temple for my gf and he made me a bloody ceasar (which has tomato juice in it and isn't remotely similar to a shirley) LOOOOOOL. Had a good laugh. Didn't take it too seriously as it was open bar, but definitely felt like he could've used a bit more training or practice. Anyways, dinner was pretty good! Wasn't a big fan of the salad. There wasn't enough dressing. The ravioli was cooked al dente which was great and they brought out a giant bowl for anyone who wanted seconds or thirds. I think the short rib entree was the best. The rib was super tender and the mashed potatoes were sooo smooth. Cheesecake was a nice finishing touch to round off the meal. Pretty cozy venue to host a wedding reception!

Isn't it ironic then that in your " 'til death do us part" moment, you have to get up on a podium and utter those words in front of tens or even hundreds? You know what makes that a hella lot easier? A good officiant. And not just a good officiant, but a convenient digital tool that not only tracks all the things you have to say, but gives ideas on what to say, and lets all parties stay on track of what's been done? That's Enduring Promises! A fully realized service that includes a register of talented officiants and this wonderful modern tool that gently guides you through a potentially terrifying ordeal. We had Dave Blow as our officiant. From the first meeting, he was friendly and professional, making us feel at ease with the process. He was even more awesome on our wedding day, using what we wrote in the Enduring Promises online tool and improvising to make it flow very smoothly. He was charismatic and funny and it made the experience extremely enjoyable for us and our guests. There's a reason why they're rated very highly as an officiant service. Not only do they keep a roster of talented individuals across the province, they strive to make your life just that much easier in a very stressful time. Their packages are reasonably priced and offer a variety of options to accommodate any budget or style. We were lucky enough to have chosen a venue that actually partners with them as part of the deal, so of course we jumped on it. If you happen to stumble upon that opportunity like we did, take it! Exceptional all around!…read more I booked the BFBG Awards with Elaine at the Artistic Event Venue last minute after we had to relocate due to a postponement. When I called Elaine to check date availability, we settled on November 30, 2024. Elaine went above and beyond for us. She was extremely flexible, allowing us to start setup five days prior to the event. She was also extremely helpful by providing great vendors and sourcing specific items that were completely out of the scope of her work. Her professionalism, courtesy, friendliness, and impeccable hosting skills made her the perfect host. The BFBG Awards was a huge success, and the venue looked absolutely stunning. The guests were impressed with the space and the service provided by Elaine and her team. Elaine, thank you for recommending the valet parking company; they were impeccable, and I am so happy I went with them. Elaine, I will most definitely recommend Artistic Event Venue and I look forward to hosting more events at your spot. You continue to provide exceptional service that is truly unmatched. Many thanks!

Contract was sent and agreed on for one day rental. Well, the following day I didn't get a return time so I reached out only to be told she will return the next day. Two days later minutes to 10pm still no update on return. Finally tablecloths return. I was contacted regarding refundable deposit even though she did a two day rental. This is where things take a turn for the worst. Deposit is being demanded with a bunch of excuses as to why she did not return as promised. I ended up getting annoyed and just refunded the money without any inspection. Finally did a wash because cloths looked extremely dirty with stains and even rips due to what looks like attempted ironing. Lets just say out of the twelve tablecloths rented I couldn't find one that was still useable. I took picture and sent it to her because i was in disbelief. Guylaine took it upon herself to call and when i mentioned she is trying to sabotage my stuff she got highrated and stated she would return the money. I mention that this is not how you treat someones stuff. She went as far as letting me know that the tablecloths might have gotten mixed up as there were other rentals. To make long story short. I was accused of trying to rip her off, after she ruined my stuff. She wished me luck in getting the money she suggested sending. I would advise anyone to be aware of her lack of professionalism with renting . She went as far as trying to shut me up by saying she will report me and that I was bullying her.
