We liked it very much, and…read morehere are a few of the reasons why: 1) Their sprung wood floor is wonderful for dancing -- easy on the feet and back. 2) The people -- teachers and dancers --are very nice and friendly. 3) The dance numbers are very short -- about 1 1/2 minutes apiece. Why is this good? For dancers from lower altitudes, the exertions of fast dances can be leave you winded in a hurry. Shorter times mean you have more energy for more dances. 4) Dancers were warned when upcoming dances were "advanced" (quickstep, Viennese waltz, etc.). This caveat meant that only experienced dancers were on the floor for those numbers. I have been to studios where the DJs would say "Viennese waltz is just like a regular waltz. Just go faster!" -- bad advice. We went to Dance Station USA on a Thursday evening, 7:30-9:00. The 9:00 closing may see a bit on the early side; but for us, it meant plenty of time to enjoy a late dinner.

I see literally everyone ( women ) taking showers before swimming and after. All of the showers in the women's area work perfectly fine and have warm water. I don't have complaints about the pool, at least not currently. It is easy to get a lap lane in the morning as well. The overall gym is pretty basic for a hardcore gym goer such as myself, BUT, it has all of the basic equipment that most of us need to stay fit. The even better part is that it is rarely crowded ( at least during the day) and parking is easy. The outdoor track is in a gorgeous setting and the 3 mile running loop is decent for a run or walk ( though perhaps not so scenic :) For me, this place is a lifesaver. Let's face it, we're in Pojoaque, rural northern New Mexico, and I'm happy we have a gym at all. If you live nearby, I encourage you to check it out.
