There are a multitude of apple varieties to choose from and the honey crisp apple I had was delicious. The farm is huge and had a plethora of trees to pick from. They also have a cute farm stand where you can buy pre picked apples, corn, apple cider, etc. They also have pick your own raspberries and peaches but we didn't go at the right time of year for those. We parked a little far out from the entrance based on how busy it was (Sunday afternoon), but it was an easy walk. A lot of the apples that were ready to be picked and of good quality were at the top of the trees. I wish they offered ladders or picker tools to allow people to get good apples that can't be reached otherwise. Also, they had run out of apple cider donuts, which was a shame. We got some apple cider and fresh raspberries to take home, which were also both delicious. I would definitely pick our own raspberries next year if we return. We would definitely go back for a fun Fall activity each year!

Yes, the area with animals is smallish, but for a 17th century farm that runs on donations and volunteers, it's extremely tidy, incredibly well kept, and charming. While it's not a "petting zoo," where you can feed animals, I appreciate that the farm isn't exploiting their animals and allowing people to over feed them with pellets. In our opinion, the fact that the animals are respected and fed quality diets makes the experience richer, and teaches children and adults to appreciate the beauty of nature and animals for what they are. My husband wasn't keen on driving early on a Sunday morning, but he has not stopped gushing over how wonderful it was. We recommend visiting to see it for yourself! Also, there's TONS of parking.

Of course, we made it on the last night...Labor Day weekend (Friday), we were able to make it part of a trip to Marshfield so it was great. We made the trip....traffic was not to bad, which was a huge bonus. Upon arrival, we noticed that it was a very busy night at Langwater...tons of cars parked in the front of the farm in an orderly fashion. We were lucky enough to get a spot near the entry and make our way to the Farm. Immediately, we saw two lines....one for pizza and one for drinks (at the bar). The lines moved quickly. The stafff at Langwater has a real great process of getting each order in and moving on to the next customer. Obviously, they have done this before! The pizza that we ordered as "excellent". The wood-fired ovens were roaring and pumping pizza's out quickly! The bartenders at the bar were just as quick. Plenty of help and everyone moving through the drink line was awesome to see. Music was being played with hundreds of families and friends laying around on their blankets and beach chairs, which made everyone happy and the vibe relaxed! I would love to come back here when the farmstand is open and to try some chicken wings and ice cream....which I decided not to try this visit.
