HIDDEN GEM ALERT! I have passed this unassuming spot a million times and never stopped by until…read morethis weekend when we were in need of supplies for a friend's halloween costume. When we entered the building I instantly realized that the store is huge (though only part of it is accessible to customers). The store has LOTS of supplies in the back that are catalogued. Think they don't have what you're looking for? Ask first, but their products are also listed online. The door was locked when we arrived, but the gentleman working quickly came over and let us in. He also took us to the makeup room to peruse a bit too. The prices seemed super fair. Honestly, I thought that Theatre House blew their competition in the city out of the water. I love cappels downtown, but their prices are higher and it's a more crowded/compact store. The whole experience at Theatre House was great and I'll definitely be back!

This is one of those places that I've driven by countless times and thought, hmmm I wonder what…read morethat place is? Well, I finally had the chance to patronize it and I found it to be a surprisingly nice place. Similar to Cappel's and other costume/theatre places, Theatre House has a lot of stuff under one roof. the setup of the place is reminiscent to Service Merchandise and by that I mean that most everything is not visible to the general public, rather it is stored in the back warehouse. One can view their products online and bring in the id number and tada, you now have that costume or whatever. They do have a few catalogs that one can peruse and then tell a worker to retrieve for you. It's like having your own personal shopper, ha ha. They do have tons of hats and masks and some general costume items on display. I did find it a little off putting that the hats were like 10 feet above the ground and not really visible up close. Oh well. The worker that assisted me was friendly, knowledgeable, and fast at retrieving the items I needed. Prices are fair and there was even a discount section for bargain hunters. Parking is right out front and free. So, whether you are looking for a crazy, sexy, scary, weird costume, or just need some theatre makeup, this is a place to check out.

I said but your website says 5 pm. She sarcastically & rudely said "well, there's this thing called COVID". And that their hours on their website might not be updated. I got upset at her sarcasm & rudeness and she claimed I "attacked" her first. (?) I replayed the conversation and sarcasm of "well there's this thing called COVID" when I had simply stated that their website listed a 5 pm close time. After my grown frustration over being told I was wrong "because of covid" and THEIR rudeness, The other lady said "sorry for offending you". I'm not sure what covid has to do with closing early (you decided to open!) and with not updating hours for customers (all the other sewing related stores I've since looked up had updated their hours), or being rude to customers. I am glad there are other quilt stores in the area.... no need to put up with that!

The sales person started every other sentence with, "if you could afford it...." I have never been made to feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman at the dress shop, dressed like a hooker. But I did today. And I wasn't dressed like a hooker. I was in work clothes, caring for patients all Day. Even if I was a millionaire I wouldn't purchase anything from them. I had much better service across town anyways.

They did a great job helping us pick out fabric. Only took about 2 hours. The price was fairly reasonable and the quality is wonderful. We love our "new" chair. It did take them a little longer than we expected and hoped -- a full 3+ months, but that includes the Xmas holidays too, so . . . . Now we have the "new" chair back in our living room and it looks perfect, like it has been there for a while. They're easy to deal with, flexible, and very knowledgeable.

Over the years, the seats grew softer and softer, and more uncomfortable. We approached several repair shops in Fort Collins but were turned down. We contacted Gayle at Sparrow House of Design, not knowing she holds a degree in design and years of experience. The couch and loveseat are completely sewn, so no removing of the cushions. Gayle came to our house, disassembled the loveseat, trucked it to her studio, and a day later had it back to us with new high-density foam. A week later, she did the same with the sofa, and had it back that afternoon. Her work onsite was clean, fast and professional. The results were simply beyond our expectations. And the cost was much less than we had projected. We cannot recommend her too highly.
