Let me start out by saying that I retained Michelle Bieker at the firm on1/30/25 and she did not file a notice that she was my attorney until 2/5/25 and that was because I sent her a motion that was filed by opposing council as I had been Pro Se for a few months. My very first virtual consult she came out like a raging bull and it should have been my first clue that things would not be good. She talked over me and wouldn't let me speak. Both her and Attorney Figuero refused to let me record our conversations. They werenot good at all in responding to emails. Couldnt get a meeting for 2-3 weeks out with them. They didn want me emailing......so how does one communicate?!?! I had a status hearing and Attorney Bieker was representing me and the Judge ruled that I had waived my rights to attorney fees for lack of not noticing a hearing for Attorney fees. She did not argue one statute or case law for me to the tune of approximaty $100,000 in legal fees that I have incurred. I retained her to resolve a contempt and enforce that I had filed in November of 2024. She did nothing and my fees were in excess of $20,000 from 2/5/2025 to 5/20/2025 at which time she withdrew from my case. Scheduled a withdrawal hearing in the morning for approximately 1:00 that afternoon not giving proper notice and not allowing me to retain a court reporter that I had told her that I always wanted a court reporter present. If that is the kind of representation you are looking for ....they are your go to. I would be more than willing to share my experience in black and white. Had an issue where I was to sign a quit claim deed and she bullied me on that as well. What an expensive nightmare! If there were 10 negative stars I would check them off but I don't have that option. read more

I agree with Bradford M. They were not friendly or helpful at all, in fact their demeanor was like they were representing my ex. Yes, I was served with divorce from my Miltary spouse and she had a good lawyer who was very attentive to her needs and gave her great advice. My lawyer, Robin, never ever returned my calls even after I paid them a lot of moneys, which it seemed all they did was bill me. Because this office was so bad we decided to place the mediation on hold the day before, which fortunately my wives attorney explained to her the process who in turn informed me. Needless to say our case was still open for about 6 years just moving from judge to judge. All this time after leaving messages with this office I never received a response how to close it and get it cleared so it would not effect my security clearance. Guess what? low a behold my wives attorney explained and even gave her advice on how to close the case. Do yourself a favor a research before selecting any attorney. read more

For the six months I had Figueroa on my payroll (spending their $8k retainer) for an uncontested divorce, starting in Sept 2020, I was constantly in a state of anxiety and fear because the Figueroa firm basically ignored me. I had no idea what was going on. One must understand Figueroa used a locked text format. So I would write the reply to my ex-'s latest proposal, but I then had to send it to Figueroa to type into their format before it could be sent to her lawyer. The normal modus operandi consisted of me writing up the response to my ex-'s latest proposition, sending it to Figueroa, who would then take about a week to copy it to their format. Figueroa routinely made a typo or two transcribing this, which I had then to catch and resubmit to them, which stretched the Figueroa response time to closer to two weeks. I lost track of how many paralegals they had respond to me, it seemed like a different one every week, each of whom I had to bring up to speed at my expense. After Figueroa finally submitted my reply, this cycle would start all over. I was almost never allowed to talk to my lawyer (J. Leckart) because "she was too busy to talk to me;" this being the most common reason given. I had to look up the answers to my legal questions on the internet, because my lawyer refused to reply. This stretched into 6 months, with the Figueroa response time slipping into two even three week to correct the simplest typo or error Figueroa had made. I was left with no doubt that if Figueroa had a priority list for answering their clients, I was not on it; basically I did not exist. The last few months of being ignored by Figueroa resulted in my politely calling or emailing them every day, 5 days/week, to ask when they would find time to update the response with my latest reply. Note, most of the time, we are talking about a fraction of a page of text here; sometimes only a single word that Figueroa misspelled. After a particularly painfully long period of being totally ignored, which left no doubt in my mind I would never be divorced using Figueroa, I fired them. Figueroa would charge me for each phone call or email, the vast majority of which they never replied to. Figueroa did not have my back. Figueroa pulled my review off their website, but I guess I cannot fault them for that. read more

I would not recommend using this office. Please see more than one attorney before giving a non refundable deposit. Please ask questions, time, money, potential outcome. No one can guarantee, but 10,000. Spent for an increase of 100. a month does not support further money being spent. This was not a conversation discussed, only more money need to continue. read more

Can not reccomend. I signed up to yelp to leave this review. Hiring them was one of the more impulsive mistakes I made in my life. They sold me the world about how quick and fast they could help me to get an adoption as I had military orders to leave the county soon. The staff was not friendly, and worst of all they took days to return phone calls or emails, and my case was time senstive to them. I sent an email on 16 June and got a response on 5 July, and I wish I could say this was atypical but it is not. Their retainer is non refundable which they were upfrount about, but when I cancelled the adoption (the whole reason we wanted their help) they wouldn't give me back anything. While I agree that is right I think a reasonable return of at least half my retainer (about $1,500) would have been appropriate. I guess that line about being nonrefundable was much more important than other lines of the contract, such as their duty to send me monthly invoices. Over the 6 months I did work with them I only got two invoices. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. read more

Contrary to any other reviews, my experience was top notch. Friendly staff, knowledgeable attorneys and prompt service. I encourage future clients to let them do the work. Listen to their advice and trust in the process. They do excellent work!!! read more
