Add to that experience that we received a free drink from the bar with our lunch, and that the food was fresh and well prepared and you have a very positive tour lunch experience! I have been a member for sometime and for a casual meal out its fantastic vale and the quality and variety is up there with the best. You will never get gourmet meals but on the other hand you wont get the ubiquitous steak and chips either. Membership covers all ages and they have quite a bit going on all the time. Large function rooms are available for parties and weddings and if there is a major sports event on, they are sure to have on their screens which are located all over the club. Membership fees are ridiculously low, about $12 a year. They are child friendly with a large children's playground and climbing frame (enclosed) at the back of the club. The car park is huge.

Shame it took a stick and not a carrot to get this resolved. Still no apology to my elderly mother. We held my mother's 80th there because we'd had dad's there a few years ago. The food was nice. Despite a bar tab with various wines and beers included, they made guests pay for anything but the basic beer until dad complained. But most drinks had been bought by then. The highlight of the event was 90% of us coming down with terrible food poisoning or gastro. Including the guest of honour. Upon informing the club their attitude to my mother was "didn't happen unless anyone saw the doctor and confirmed it". Well club, my entire family did. What a disgraceful attitude. Club, the only place all of these people were together was at the function. We'd come from Hamilton NSW, Hamilton, Victoria, NSW North and South Coasts, the Blue Mountains and Bathurst, the Queensland Gold Coast, not to mention all of Sydney from the Shire to the Shore. The service was very friendly, nothing exceptional but nice enough. It can get very hot in the afternoon outside, there is air conditioning inside but it is rarely on in my experience. There is a lovely outdoor dining area, unfortunately it just doesn't get any breeze and there is no natural shade. Beer and wine selection is average, with a price of $6/schooner being relatively standard. Nothing exceptional, but not the worst place to go.
