He goes antiquing because I enjoy it. So if he loved it you know it's cool. The many grain bins are filled with all sorts of items. The large barn has some unique pieces of large counters, bins etc from a hardware store. Super cool. It's like going to a museum filled with items of yesteryear. We found a few treasures to take home and didn't spend a lot of money here but it was so relaxing to be in the country and enjoy their collections. The owners were friendly and helpful. He came out and picked me and my bike up when others said they wouldn't because I was to far from them. Then he got the bike repaired as swiftly and as expertly as possible. There were parts that needed to be overnighted and they didn't come in till after his shop was normally closed on Saturday. Mike stayed and got me back on the road. I would definitely recommend this place to get your repairs done.

(It looked a lot like my bookshelf at home, with many of the same books!) Looking at the inscription on the inside of the book, as well as knowing about the Japanese community in the area, I could figure out whose collection it had come from. That's the thing about used bookstores or thrift shops in a community, that eventually things get recycled. So for anyone in the North Platte area interested in Japanese- American history, this is your rare opportunity to buy some incredible books. The collection is very good, including many books about the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, the most highly decorated World War II fighting unit made up of Nisei.
