I've picked up/sent flowers from this beautiful shop many times over the past few years. They make beautiful arrangements! They are also well known for their amazing balloons displays outside their storefront for pride and other occasions...my kids have spent hours admiring the balloons! I've been meaning to put planters outside my front door for about 5 years now and decided now that I"m home allll the time thanks to Covid-19 I could use some colorful flowers in my life more than ever. A friend told me she was happy with seasonal flower service provided by the The Flower Shop in Glencoe. I called to see if I could get on their seasonal flower list and Brooke said no problem and that she could even get me planters too (bonus points for saving me hours browsing on wayfair for them). It took a few weeks to get the planters in, but then Brooke came by and I woke up one morning to beautiful flowers outside my front door. A week later I woke up and saw the trees had a dropped a bunch of blooms and was afraid they were already dead. With one email Brooke rushed right over and assured me they weren't dead, but the blooms just needed to be cleaned up a bit. Phew...cleaned them up a bit and they looked beautiful again. I really appreciated the quick customer service. I've also started following her on social platforms and love seeing all the beautiful arrangements she does for others in the area. We are lucky to have this 5 star flower shop right here in Glencoe! read more

Which bouquet do you think is the one from The Flower Shop? If you guessed the one in the middle with the most green and the least amount of flowers, you're right. The other two are from nationwide flower delivery services. I asked the woman at the counter to build me a bright, beautiful bouquet for my sister. Normally, I like to choose my own flowers and build my own, but they were repainting their cooler, so all the flowers were behind the counter. After 15 minutes, the bouquet in the middle was what the florist came back with. The worst part? I was charged $60 for minimal flowers and mostly leaves. The quality is fine, but these are definitely overpriced. I called the owner, who claimed that the flowers were priced as they should be, and offered to "add a few more stems". I live in downtown Chicago. I build my own bouquets frequently. I've paid $60 for flowers before, and I get a lot more than this, even at the nicer flower shops in the city. Again, the quality is good. But for the few flowers I got, this is way overpriced. I will not be returning, but for those that do end up here, I strongly suggest you prepare yourself for inflated prices. read more

The obviously-talented new owner, Brooke, recently took the shop over to shed some new light and bring a fun, super chill vibe into the community. In all honesty, I stopped in on a whim to check out the place after a business owner friend told me about it. She said I would love it and had to meet Brooke, and she was right! Though I didn't purchase anything, I did spend time loving every corner of the shop and had a chance to meet the owner. From several vase options to specialty greeting cards to soaps and candles, the flower case was absolutely stunning, and the flower displays outside the shop alone immediately caught my eye. Brooke has a flair for vintage-inspired flower arrangements, but she told me she likes to branch out and try new ideas all the time. I found The Flower Shop in Glencoe, and after drooling over the photos other reviewers have posted, I gave the shop a call. I was lucky enough to speak with Brooke, who is AMAZING. She spent plenty of time understanding what I wanted and giving me options and suggestions. From what I'd seen on their Instagram page, I was absolutely certain that whatever Brooke designed, it would be incredible. She did not disappoint!!! The arrangement was beyond what I'd imagined and hoped for, and my friends were thrilled. You just cannot get this kind of incredible customer service, let alone such a gorgeous and unique arrangement by ordering from one of those online places. I went to this store the first time after receiving a beautiful and unique flower arrangement for my birthday. I ordered a hostess arrangement for more than 80$ that had a lot of carnations (Yelp review). The store owner responded apologizing and offering a 75$ store credit. I decided to give them a second chance, given the outstanding reviews and the posted pictures of their arrangements. I requested (via phone an email) a Christmas arrangement to be put on a dinner table for a party and asked no carnations (in my country they are only used for funerals). I got to the store and there were chrisantemums (same family than carnations !) that I asked to be removed. In any case the result is posted below. Very disappointed for a 92$ arrangement. read more

I called about 3 weeks ahead of time to discuss the order and request delivery. I didn't have a strict vision, but had requested mixed, in-season flowers to give the green mason jars a rustic, casual feel. And the floral design did not disappoint, I'm so glad I left the creativity up to them! I had called the owner to let her know I was nearby for vase drop off, and she met me outside, across the street where I parked, to take everything in for me - so sweet of her! Wish I could award zero stars. Don't believe the fake reviews from family and friends. This place has a poor reputation and now I know why. Received a bouquet of their "best" roses that were clearly not fresh when I received them. I immediately called Brook, owner, and requested fresh ones. She was rather snippy and said she did not have any others like them, claimed they were fine and would last a week. After 3 days, they were completely wilted and at 4 days losing petals. I called to request a replacement stating that they had not lasted a week. Brook refused to replace them. I have had much better experiences at Hlavacek and Edward florists in Winnetka. The Grand Food Center Winnetka, Mariano's Northbrook and Jewel Glenview, all have made beautiful, fresh, long lasting flower arrangements for me. Get better flowers and service elsewhere! read more

Although ordering over the phone was simple, I was fairly disappointed with the end result of my arrangement. I was honestly a bit embarrassed, as they were a gift to thank my future mother-in-law and I hoped to "wow" her. The selected flowers themselves were beautiful, but the arrangement was far smaller than I expected a $65 arrangement to be. And the end charge was just shy of $80 (assuming tax and delivery, but they were not transparent about my final total and what made up my final tab). I've had much more impressive arrangements at more competitive pricing. Despite being very conveniently located, I will not be be returning as a customer. Underwhelmed and overpriced. read more

Not only is the glencoe flower shop exceptional at creating beautiful arrangements but they are extremely nice too! They are my go to for special occasion flowers.
