I did enjoy a few alternative places but when I attended Redline's session I felt confident this was the place I would understand the fundamentals and begin my curriculum. At the other locations I felt as if I was thrown into the fire and trying to pickup something I did not understand. I also didn't remember what I was shown when I left. There are people that are fast learners, however, I am not fortunate to be one of those people for self defense and grappling techniques so structure is what I need. Ty and Jen are great people and amazing instructors with a well organized curriculum especially for beginners such as me. They have passion in what they teach and care for students to understand situations and scenarios. They explain thoroughly (from what to do, what not to do, along with cause and effect of both) and walk students through steps until each one gets it. Most of the places I went the owners weren't there and at Redline I've always seen Ty or Jen or both teaching class. I enjoy this place. I will not miss a class because I am having fun and learning.
