They also have a fresh seafood area at the front of the shop which is kinda cool. They're maybe not suuupper friendly, but they are helpful if you need some recommendations or assistance.

They seem to be putting in a butcher counter and have also added lobster and crab tanks recently. They have a great selection and it's actually a good bit cheaper than other Asian stores! They also do a student discount which gets you an additional 10% off with a student card. They have a whole fridge dedicated mostly to tofu, with 1 kg costing you only 2.50, which is miles cheaper than most supermarkets/health shops! The staff are really friendly & helpful too. After several expeditions to the various asian and health food shops around Dublin 2 and 8 I was beginning to lose hope. Everything I saw was either boring, tiny, loaded with sugar or grossly overpriced. That was, until I found this strange little shop beside the polyclinic. Four hundred grams of mixed nuts with no salt, sugar, peanuts or raisons. Four ninety nine. Still a little more than I'd like to pay, but throw in a tray of thirty eggs for four fifty and you've got a deal. Yes, thirty. Thirty eggs. It's the fat man's equivalent of asking 'what can you do me for cash?'. I now subsist on a diet made up entirely of nuts and eggs. I call it the Steve McQueen.

This place is everything a market should be! An impressive selection of fresh and organic produce,…read moretons of fruit and veg, even some more obscure things. There is a big selection of potted flowers, herbs and other plants. Italian pesto and other sauces, fresh fish and pork. Coffee and juice, crepes, organic cleaning products etc. The highlight here for me is the pastry and the pies! The pie man has a booth here and they truly are the best pies I've ever had, nice selection of chicken, beef, veg, so much flavor. Big pie that is enough to fill you up, just 5€ (heated up for 6€) The pastry is also fab, lots of tarts, Danish, croissants, cookies, brownies, bread and more. All of which are delicious. Big enclosed venue (next to Teeling), so it's weather proof, and you can even bring your dog inside! Lots of friendly vendors and delicious food and drink. So lucky to have this place so close to home, it's now our Saturday tradition to get coffee and pastry, and pies to take home. There's a seating area if you want to eat in, too. Definitely worth stopping by, it's quite a market!
