The two stars would be for the friendly service, but other than that. I'm very unsatisfied with the outcome of my 10 treatments to remove my tattoo. I'm going to quit here because of the hyperpigmentation scarring, and the ink, still very visible I will attach photos There is also a white pigment change that is similar to the ones on my neck under my eye, right below where I had had the laser. I'm sorry to say i booked an appointment at the G-spa for filler. I went to my appointment and was told I need a treatment before I have the filler because it will be obvious that I had fillers if I didn't get this treatment that cost $600.00. They called it skin vevve, or something like that. I said ok thinking this is what I needed to do. I was feeling very uncomfortable about the situation I was in so I called a friend that has had fillers and she said it didn't sound right and gave me the name of her person in ventura. I called them and they didn't understand why when this skin vevve is the same thing as the filler I was asking for but doesn't last as long and is not as good as what I wanted.The filler I wanted is $900.00 a vile at the G-Spa and my new appointment in Ventura is $650.00 a vile. I never write reviews but felt I needed to do this to let my fellow older ladies that you really need to research what you're doing. I was also told I would need 8 viles , I'm guessing that they were thinking I want to look 40 years old when I'm 69 years old but that is not my goal. My goal is to be the best 69 year old I can be. I had a severe negative reaction to a filler, which, yes, I know can happen. I experienced a fever, highly flushed face, horrible itching and burning. For near 2 weeks I slept with 3 ice packs on my face, went to 2 Dermatologists for treatment then 1 to my primary physician and an additional appointment on an emergency basis to finally get some relief with shots, creams, and a course of steroids. The G Spa office was notified and the front desk did ask me to call back with results, which I did the first week, however their owner, a physician herself ,did not call back for a conversation to help me in any way. Since it was so severe the second week, I reached out again to the G Spa to Spa to have a conversation and was not contacted. I ultimately called back again and was told my case was noted and Dr. Griffin would not be contacting me. So much for patient appreciation or perhaps learning some treatment info to assist a future unlucky patient. Very dissapointed and quite frankly shocked at their lack of concern or follow up. I left The G Spa in tears recently because I was so happy with the results I received from just a few minor treatments. Awhile back I saw Dr. Griffin for lip filler, but she's a doctor of integrity and honesty and also has a very trained eye. She informed me that due to previous filler, my top lip was protruding, looking very unnatural. She was able to simply dissolve the filler, for a VERY small cost and then with her artistic eye, gave me filler that made my lips proportionate to my face. I also had smile lines that have been bothering me for years and she was able to get rid of them within minutes with a few pokes of filler! My brother is a renowned facial plastic surgeon and when he saw me on Zoom afterwards, he was blown away! (Yes, I go to Dr. Griffin for my Botox & filler and not my brother). Hello! I've done multiple sessions for tattoo removal. I have also done the picosure facial laser for acne scars and both have been with RN Cayley Cline!! She has been the sweetest and makes you feel so comfortable. She's super gentle and if you're in any pain during tattoo removal she will talk to you about doing lidocaine injections at the site. Never skip on the lidocaine injections.. they're a life saver, they will save you from so much pain. The staff is amazing at the front desk and never pressures you into buying more things. I know plastic surgery and beauty treatments are extremely personal, and sometimes subjective, but the reason why I came here was for the EmSculpt, so I can't review this business based on anything aesthetically related. After I had my daughter, I experienced Diastasis Recti, and sadly, I felt like it changed my stomach muscles permanently. There are ways to fix it, like with surgery, usually during a tummy tuck, but I don't want surgery, and I don't want a tummy tuck. I just want my muscles to be put back together. So after some research, I learned that EmSculpt helps with Diastasis Recti. This spa is one of the only spas in town offering this service. EmSculpt comes as a series of four, 30 minute weekly sessions, so budget your time and schedule carefully. Depending on how much fat you carry around your midsection, they will determine how intense they will go on the machine. Mine was around the max of 60%. The EmSculpt Neo also has radiofrequency to help tighten the skin. I don't have a lot of fat on my stomach, but keep in mind, this machine will not resolve any love handles or any issues you have on the backside, unless you use it to build booty muscles. It's just working on the front core, which is fine, because that's what I signed up for. Well I'm not seeing dramatic changes in my body, but I was petite to begin with. I am however, feeling stronger with my core! I may sign up for another four sessions, to try to keep working on stitching together the muscles that were torn apart. But overall, I think I love the machine. It doesn't hurt and once you get used to it, kinda relaxing. Once I feel safe enough after the pandemic, I will sign up for Pilates to keep working on this issue. Dani at the front desk is the EmSculpt expert and she spent so much time discussing this product and what it could do for me. #CayleyLove 100% recommend! I wanted to take a moment and tell the world what an amazing experience I am having with Cayley at the G-Spa in Santa Barbara! There are so many good things to say about Cayley and the G-Spa I don't even know where to start... I originally consulted with the G-Spa for laser hair removal yet, decided to prioritize Picosure laser facials first because my melasma (sun damage from medication) was beginning to get so bad it was affecting my self esteem. I had a dark sun-moustache on my upper lip that was not only embarrassing but, a sore subject after a medication caused this abnormal facial discoloration (I was never told by my doctor that I was on any photosensitive medication). So, after thinking it over for a bit, I decided to get started on a spot treatment of my upper lip with the Picosure laser. When I started working with Cayley and the Picosure the results were immediate! I could see a reduction in the dark pigmentation of my upper lip and the pigment looked like it was breaking up. With each session I have seen a reduction in the degree of my stubborn melasma and the sessions have been worth every penny!!! I no longer feel like I have to wear makeup going out of the house and I am no longer embarrassed to be on camera or have a phot taken without makeup. Cayley and the G-Spa have been life changing for me. I'm excited to say now I am doing both laser hair removal and Picosure laser facials with Cayley!!! Never go to Dr Griffin!!! Not only did she deform my face when I went to have it fixed or get my money back because the results were so obviously horrible, she would not admit her mistake even though the before and after was extremely obvious. Then I was verbally assaulted by the entire staff including Dr Griffin who told me to go $@$@ myself and she did not give $&@$ about me even though in our first appointment I explained I am coming back from 4 years of spine surgeries, 70 weeks in the hospital and over 5 surgeries for a rare spine condition that very painful and I wanted to start with a little pick me up looks wise to make me feel better. All in all I paid 2000 dollars to be deformed and verbally abused I have never been spoken to like that especially by a Dr to tell me to go $&@$ myself and she doesn't give $&@$ about me is just so unbelievably unprofessional and to let her staff of 4 grown women attack me in a tiny room while I am seated for her mistake is just down right wrong!! When I said I wasn't leaving until she dissolved the giant lump in my lip she threatened and called the cops to intimidate me. When I was just expressing how livid I was with results. Never go here unless you want to support a women who obviously does not care about women at all and just wants to get as much money as she can charge then when a mistake is made verbally assault your patient and threaten to call the cops if I don't leave with out being reimbursed or fixed, just so they can over charge me and get away with it. They refused to give me my medical chart which is legally mine, as well as my before and after picture, or an exact break down of what was used in my face and where and the price of each thing. Also if she tries to comment on this I recorded the entire encounter so I would happy to post that of the entry staff yelling at me and Dr Griffin herself saying she does not give a fuck about me. I left there sobbing and shaking because of how abusive they were it was extremely traumatizing first to have my face deformed and then be spoken to in that manner and refuse to fix the problem or give me a refund and when I said I am not leaving until one of those things happens they did from now what I have read there go to calling the police as if I did something wrong. We are going I will be proceeding with legal action. Update went to my normal person, Claire at Dr novatt she was able to dissolve the Giant lump in my lip, she found no evidence of filler anywhere in my face but the giant lump in my lip which after it is dissolved I have to have it redone because she ruined my bow and lip line on the right side....so I have no idea what I was charged for as they would not give me a breakdown of what they put where and my medical file. My mother had to call to find out what they put in my face as they would not answer me. She was also able to fix my brows from almost reaching my hairline!! Also just chatting in tube waiting room another young women said she went to the Gspa for the "5minute nose job" and it was completely botched and Claire is fixing that as well. No one could believe what I had gone through at the Gspa but I am just thankful for kind honest doctors in our town like Dr Novatt and his team no of which would ever say anything like that to anyone or botch them in the first place!! Dr. Kathleen Griffin, owner of G Spa and a gynecologist, opened this total woman operation (inside and out) in 2004. It's a great spot--33 W Mission--with ample parking and it's not downtown. That's a plus in my book. I was at a wine /cheese event here to learn about the membership: 100/month with a 75 sign-up charge and 6 month minimum is a remarkable deal. Monthly benefits include Venus Freeze, microdermabrasion, various facials and more. Membership entitles you to a treatment as well as discounts on fillers. Dysport is cheaper here (5 without membership and 3.70 with). That's half the going rate and cheaper than med spas in ads for ridiculously cheap fillers you see in the LA Weekly and wonder, "Where the hell is that?!" I'm a WLA snob of course. I know Pasadena and Glendale and East/West Valley but North Valley and Glendora are terra incognita. And I thought Riverside was in the OC, which I despise except for Laguna. Having potentially offended a couple million people, let me assure SB and LA people that this spa, while not as visually lush as Evolutions or MAI, is a top notch facility.
