I became accustomed to the Starbucks Caramel Hot Chocolate and was disappointed when I visited this Cafe Nero with my mother and they didn't have Caramel Hot Chocolate on the menu. Luckily, the super-helpful guy behind the counter said that he could put a shot of caramel in my Hot Chocolate along with the usual cream and marsh mallow delights and it was delicious! They are also very accomodating to my mother's weak cappucino requests. There's always a wide range of freshly baked and prepared snacks (sandwiches, cakes, cookies etc).

I prefer the coffee here - there isn't as much choice as Starbucks with the endless variations, but the coffee tastes more authentic and the staff feel more genuine. The location in Teesside park in the middle next to the public loos is easy to get to and can't be missed - you can sit and relax while watching all the folks rush by with their shopping (and you don't have to climb any stairs or go through other shops to get to it - so its easier if you've done a bit of shopping yourself )

I thought he was joking and asked if he was being serious, this obviously annoyed him and made him act even ruder than he was already. I felt so shaken up after, very upset and annoyed. It makes no sense that a small business who is lucky to have regular customers considering it is very close to a very popular, busy Caffe Nero, has the option to turn down orders due to his personal issues. They did not know me but they downed tools just to welcome me in and still found the time to make me a pot of tea and have a bit chat. YOU CANNOT BUY THAT KIND OF HOSPITALITY. I always make time to pop in when I am passing as the food is just as good as thier hospitality. A little gem of a place. Thank you
