I have been to their sister store up in Green Bay a number of times so I was excited to hear that…read morethere was a Gnome Games in Appleton-much closer drive as I come from Fond du Lac. This store is significantly smaller than the one Green Bay-East store, but they still pack plenty of games into their space, with plenty of room for gaming towards the back. We were there for their "Once in a Blue Moon" sale which got us 31% of almost everything in the store. The catch was everything needed to fit into one of their blue Gnome Games bag. Since we didn't yet have one and they advertised limited quantities at the store we got there right at opening. And it was good thing as the place quickly got very busy between the sale and a Pokemon tournament they were holding. What really drew me to this place, and to Gnome Games in general, is the very friendly staff that they have. Game shops can often be very insular and not always the friendliest of places to outsiders, but all my interactions, in all of the Gnome Games stores has been wonderful. Looking forward to heading up there again-although it won't be anytime soon as my wife has said that i am done buying new games for a while.

A nice selection of scrapbooking products and a decent sized sale section to boot! Things at this location are arranged around the store in a slightly odd (to me) manner, but things can be found. My one problem is that the employees often seem to be more interested on chatting or stocking things to notice that there are multiple customers needing assistance/ringing up at the registers. A few "excuse me"s toward them has shown to be less than effective at times. However, while they may not be particularly attentive, they are polite and friendly. While I'd still prefer shopping at a locally owned scrapbook store, I nearly always pop into this Archiver's on drives through Appleton.

When I lived near Green Bay, I was a regular customer to this store. Now that I live further…read moresouth, I make it a priority to stop there whenever I'm on my way to Door County. A nice, lovely, large store with everything Christian that you could ever want. Sometimes when I need a nice gift but don't plan to head north, I order from them online and they ship it to the recipient. Lighthouse gives me that wonderful Christian bookstore shopping experience that has, unfortunately, become increasingly uncommon as brick-and-mortar bookstores have disappeared. It's worth the trip!
