Absolutely shocking service. Was greeted rudely by staff, and she didn't understand what we wanted as not many veg options had to go for sides options and she was very abrupt in the way she spoke to us. Service throughout by waitress was shocking. Not even a single time did she come over to ask if we needed anything or if everything was okay. Told to go to the bar to pay when I was ready and went there and nobody came for over 5 minutes of me waiting, even though staff were standing just behind me facing opposite direction. When I gave this feedback to staff, "boss" came out and was dismissive, rude and told me not to come back if I didn't like the poor service. Was not offered chocolates offered to all other customers as he did not like my feedback and told me that they "had work to do so to stop going on". Overall one of the worst experiences I have had in any restaurant and would never go back where customer service is so poor and clearly the customer is not always right when it doesn't suit the boss, even if the customer is right. Thoroughly enjoyed a meal here last week on a weekend away from Somerset in Skegness. It looked very welcoming from outside and we weren't disappointed. The service was excellent and the waiters were very helpful. The perrier water came in a very small glass and I felt it was over priced. I expected a bottle. The food was good. I enjoyed my prawn tandoori dish. It could have been a little spicier but that was probably my choice. The portion sizes were good. The dessert menu was inviting but I didin't have room. If you are looking for a lackluster, bland curry try this place. The starters were poor, we ordered what could only be described as a dirty deep fried burger with cheese in it and a tasteless kebab. we had two different curries and apart from the colour we couldn't tell them apart, the meat was flavourless and the sauce was watery and flavourless. i dont go for the really hot curries, normally something medium strength like a rogan josh or a bhuna, but these curies definiteley needed more spice. very poor, would not reccomend it to anyone. ever. read more

Do not go to this place! The curry was one of the worst curries I've ever had. After spending all day looking forward to going for a good old curry after a few pints we chose this place over two other curry houses and regretted it straight away. I ordered the Sheema Kebab for my starter and when it arrived it looked and tasted like an old greasy burger with cheese or something mixed in, urggh! The pickle tray was also very average and I noticed they were all kept under the menus at the front of the restaurant in a cupboard already served up so they weren't fresh. The two mains we had were extremely bland in taste and we couldn't tell them apart other than the difference in colour of the sauce. I come on holiday a lot to Skegness and usually get a take away Indian but thought we would go to a restaurant instead this time. What a mistake to make! This place is terrible! The food is bland, and resembles something you could buy a Tesco. Couldn't believe i had just spent close to 80 pounds on the meal and it was bordering on discusting. My daughter only ate her starters and the rest of the family were terribly dissapointed. WARNING! COMPLAIN AND RECEIVE PAIN, 4 ON 1 ASSAULT If we could give 0 stars, we would. On Saturday the 29th of July, our family (2 adults and 3 children) decided to order a takeaway from The Gandhi. In hindsight, this was the worst decision we have made in a long time. After being told the food would take 20 minutes, we waited 40 minutes before receiving any of the food which we paid near to £40 for. We took the food back to our resort to eat and we opened our food only to find that a large portion of what we had ordered was missing. We therefore called The Gandhi & were told to come back to collect the missing food from our order so my dad proceeded to go collect it alone. After waiting for him for 50 minutes it was obvious something wasn't right. We finally got in touch with him and were informed that the owner of the restaurant, his son and 2 chefs had subjected my dad to a very serious physical assault, the attack was believed to have lasted around 25 minutes and there were weapons brought out in an attempt to do further harm. The police were called to the scene by someone who had witnessed the assault and the amount of blood which was left behind, all my dad's, was startling. 2 of these men held my dad down so he was unable to defend himself or get away from the attack whilst the other 2 men continued to beat and kick him, which resulted in him having to push himself back with his legs to stop them from dragging him back into the kitchen area. The moral of the story is, the people running this restaurant have no care for their customers and no respect for the law. My dad is not a small person, I dread to think what they might do to someone who is not able to stand their ground and stop them from dragging them to a more private location. Customer service is absolutely non-existent where The Gandhi is concerned, further more should you wish to express any form of dissatisfaction the results are unbelievably dire. This place is the exact opposite of what their name represents, they have disgraced the name Gandhi and ruined the evening for us, as well as everyone who had to witness the attack as well. This experience totally ruined my family's short break away, avoid this place at all costs. read more

Elegant atmosphere, exceptional service and delicious indian food. Excellent place to enjoy a good indian meal. Brilliant service and the food is finger licking good. I love the achar chicken and the keema nans. I've been to most of the indian restaurants and take aways in Skegness. This one has to be the best. The Gandhi has a great reputation locally and I recommend you try it! read more

Great place to eat in Skegness! Very classy atmosphere and my family and I loved the food. I went with my wife and children and we were impressed with the service and the large delicious portions. We ordered Tandoori King Prawns, Chicken Shashlic, and Achar Lamb - recommended by the staff. I'm getting hungry thinking about it. Loved it so much I went again two weeks later with friends from work. If you want good Indian food and a great atmosphere - this is the place.
