This was my first visit alone to the Gas Pipe. I've dropped by a couple of times but always with someone else. So...I was like "I don't know what I'm doing " but wanted to purchase a birthday gift for my person. The staff was super duper friendly and knowledgeable. Went to the Fortworth location on camp Bowie to buy a coil for my husbands vape pen. I had a hard time describing what I was looking for... I trusted the girl with black hair and a tear drop down on her eye to help me find something. She convinced me to buy a whole new pen and spend $40. I got out to the car it wasn't what my husband was wanting so I walked back in and asked her to explain how it works. She told me "I don't f***ing know, I don't get paid enough for my job but you can spend $20 more dollars and get what you're wanting" so I asked for a manager because at this point she was being completely disrespectful to a paying CUSTOMER. She then proceeded to tell me "I am the manager" so at this point I'm just like that's Great. So I said well next time maybe you can explain to a customer how to work the product they are buying from you. She then stated again "I don't get paid enough to put up with people like you" so I paid the $20 because I didn't want to be stuck with a product I was unsure on how to use and told her that I would be leaving a review for her poor customer service and she said "good b***h because I don't like dealing with people like you". When all I did was ask for her to show me how to use it or give me my money back. I am really disgusted with this business I have never in my life been treated like this and I live in a medical state where everyone is always friendly in the smoke world. What a disappointment for Fortworth and what a terrible face to have claim as your manager. SMH I called one of the Dallas stores and asked if someone would call me regarding the "Manager" I encountered only to find out she's an assistant. I will update with the response of the actual manager on Tuesday if they reach out. I wouldn't spend my money here unless you like being talked to like absolute dog shit. Purchased a water pipe about an hour ago. I came home and unwrapped the bubble wrap and the stem was broken off the water pipe. I called the store back and explained what happened. I was told I'd have to call back in 2 days to speak to the manager, Brett, and that they DO NOT refund items that leave their store in 1 piece. The problem is during the water pipe being wrapped by the store employee, the stem broke off. I would love for the store manager to contact me so this situation can be rectified. read more

My nephew was visiting from California and needed some things to roll his own cigarettes. I heard about Gas Pipe's extentsive tobacco products and thought this would be the perfect place for him. However, we went inside, walked around and finally found what he was looking for. We were never greeted and in fact, we were passed several times and NEVER acknowledged. I was livid and my nephew was disappointed. We left and went to Smokies right up the road and received phenomonal customer service and even better selection and prices. Thanks Gas Pipe for saving us money, but wasting our time. read more

Beyond uncomfortable to shop there. I've had a few girlfriends say that they were treated poorly by "the dark haired girl that wears glasses" but I didn't pay much attention. Today my boyfriend and I went in to browse and possibly make a purchase. She treated me like I was a complete moron from the moment I stepped inside and asked to see anything from the case. When I asked to see the yellow and red pipe with the blue flame stickers, she said, "well all of these have blue flame stickers, they are from the same manufacturer." Btw, they didn't because a guy that worked there must have noticed the way she was acting because he walked up and said "she wants that one." Then, when I checked our, she asked for my ID and as I have it to her she said, "one that matches the card." As if I was a criminal. I kinda felt like throwing my other 4 cc at her and telling her that they all match my ID but decide not to be an a-hole. Anyway, it was a terrible experience. I hold deep memories with this store, from the first moment you walk in, the fluorescence reflecting off the glass, the sharp shine of metal, and the subtle, ever present smell of incense, a myriad of smells sights and sounds. This is how this store is held in the hearts of many. This is what makes this place not just some head shop, but an Institution. Naturally after retiring from the military and coming back home, naturally there was only one place in mind Gas Pipe. Even more so I looked to this location due to a recent cancer diagnosis, and my increased need to medicate. This folks is where things begin to go south. I walked in, and the familiar sensory over load was there. The serenity and easy communication that I looked forward to, however was not there. All beginning with a dreadlocked customer service associate. I shook off that Initial discomfort I felt dealing with him, and the lackadaisical attitude put forth. In short, I purchased just shy of $1000 of medical equipment. I returned several times after and the same individual with the same "lack of enthusiasm" attitude was there. My only saving grace were the other staff, super helpful and super competent, the experience I was looking for. Today, I go to get replacement parts for the Airizer, (which the dreaded employee assured me of and in fact was this primary selling point) and there he rests, nonchalantly eating honey and oat nutria-grain bar and drinking his soda. Cleaning the slate I ask for said replacement parts, and they weren't available, rankled, but I'll go with it, as this was intended to be a spurge moment, I wanted a really nice display piece amongst other things. It became clearly apparent that the guy was WAY more interested in that food than helping me. And things continued to decline, and I had to fight down the urge to pull from my years training young infantrymen, and lock him on in a not too subtle way. I'm sure your wondering why I don't just but it online and the reason is, this is a rarity, a brick and mortar shop, vested in the community and depended upon by us, the Customer, who don't want this to go away, the ability to walk into somewhere, talk to people who have a passion for what they sell. This employee literally ruined this for me. Not just on one occasion, but over the course of six months with weekly visits. I love this place, but people working in places so rare as this one is like salting your garden, and it has forced me to look elsewhere for my needs. I will return someday in hopes that this institution is returned again, to the peaceful and helpful place that I remember it as. Horrible!!!! I hate to give bad reviews but I have to in this case. These guys are WAY WAY WAY over priced. The female sales associate with curly hair and glasses tried to talk me into something I didn't need after I had told her repeatedly (in a nice way) that I was not interested in the product that she was trying to push me into buying. VERY over barring. After she finally understood that I was literally not interested in the product she was immediately stand offish, short with me, and rude in her tone of voice while answering any other questions I had. She also tried to convince me that the product I actually was buying was cheap, and that I couldn't get a better price anywhere else. I ended up spending $32.00 plus tax on something only to go home and do some research to find out a store near me had the product for 12 dollars!!!!!!!!!! I really don't think it's worth going into this store, over priced and rude employees. I wont be going back into The Gaspipe on Camp Bowie to say the least. read more
