Go somewhere else! I've had many massages and this it the most UNPROFESSIONAL one ever. And overall not a very good massage! I was 10 minutes early for my 11 am appointment, she arrived at 11:10. She did not read the paper I filled out about my preferences ( probably because she was running late) so I had to tell her during my session. Throughout the entire 80 minute session she was eating and drinking!!!! She had all morning to eat and drink but work! Every time she had a sip she put her cold wet hands on me!! I'm not kidding! She often stayed in one spot too long which I had put on the paper not to do. I could hear her ear buds the whole time and realized at the end she had her phone propped up and was watching a show on her phone!!!! Unbelievable! She is well over 50 and should know better!! I brought both of my daughters here to get haircuts, with me. They were able to schedule us all with Brianna who is AMAZING. She cut and styled our hair perfectly, she's quick and very sweet. Melody in the front set us up with tasty Starbucks beverages, (I think that was her name, younger girl with beautiful curly hair) and she was so kind to my girls. I am a teacher, and don't often splurge for family haircuts. Prices are actually more affordable than many places in town, and the service is excellent. We just love this place! They have a great selection of Aveda products, which can be hard to find in this area. Will DEFINITELY be back! read more

Had my toes and eyebrows done. Great experience from the time I walked in to the time I walked out. Alicia was so nice and gentle. She didn't beet on my feet like most places. I am very impressed due to the negative reviews on here. All the ladies were friendly and talkative. She took her time with my eyebrows and I think she did an excellent job on them. I will be back! DON'T waste your time or your money. Im a flight attendant and being that i had a LONG overnite at the MCM Elegante and based on the suggestion of some other co-workers, I booked an hour deep tissue massage. I was told on the phone that an hour massage was between $70-80 (minus our airline discount of 15%). Not cheap, but i dont mind paying for quality. Lets just say i was severely UNDERWHELMED. The front desk staff was far from welcoming and they were far from busy. I was intially greeted by an Asian woman sitting at the bar (this location is also a Starbucks) but after that they basically ignored me for 10 minutes after I arrived on time. They seemed more concerned with their mindless chatter than about having a client sitting there waiting. Then after leaving me to sit for those 10 mins they offered me some water and then slid a client info sheet at me to fill out. My massage therapist then came out from the salon and proceeded to stare at me like i was wasting her time while i filled out these 2 pages. A problem which could have been solved by having received the paperwork when i first got there. I finished and she took me back. The massage room was small and in place of a door, there is a curtain. Not a lot of privacy and you can hear the chatter from the rest of the salon while you are trying to relax. Not quiet and peaceful at all...but i was willing to sacrifice that for a great massage. She did not introduce herself (she had a short, brown bob haircut), but she did ask what type of massage i wanted. I told her my problem areas and said i signed up for an hour so if she could concentrate on those areas. Then she said, "well, because of the time we are only going to be able to get about 45 mins in". Mind you, i had arrived on time. I assumed that the price would be adjusted accordingly. NOPE. After an amateurish 45 min massage with a drowning in oil and no continuity, i emerged disappointed and VERY GREASY. I love Aveda products and have been to a few Aveda Salons/Spas....but this was far from an Aveda experience. She offered me a water and said thank you and took me to the front desk where "Cesar" told me it would be $80. I politely reminded him (again) that i had an airline discount and he then gave me a small discount. I left a 10% tip, but i really wanted to leave ZERO. SEVERELY UNDERWHELMED. The masseuse was a nice girl and while i did like her as a person, judging by the massage, was unexperienced. I get massages regularly and this was NOT even close to the quality and experience im used to receiving. Save yourself some time and money and don't bother. read more

Went here for a spa day given to me by my husband that included a facial, massage, and manicure! I've never had a facial before this one, so I don't really have anything to compare it to, but it was nice and relaxing and my skin felt soft after! The massage easy pretty good, I would have preferred it to be a little bit of a deeper massage, a lot of it just felt like basic rubbing without much pressure. However, it was still very relaxing and felt nice. In addition, both my masseuse and the lady who did my facial were wonderful and both very sweet. The manicure was a bit more of a let down to be honest. I just got a basic polish. The first issue was that my manicurist put on two coats and was about to top coat it when I stopped her and asked for a third coat of color because the color was still quite sheer and you could see the nail through it. And it certainly was not a sheer color at all, just needed a thicker coating. Anyway, after she did that and finished it looked nice and I was satisfied. I had picked the color out to go with pictures I was having taken the next day, and unfortunately, I had to literally redo my manicure the next day at home because it had already chipped so badly and I didn't have time to get over to the salon to ask for a touch up before hand. I'm sorry, but even a basic polish should last more than 1 day. Overall, I did enjoy myself and left feeling very relaxed, but I don't think it's somewhere I would return to. read more

I moved here a few years ago and was thrilled to find an Aveda spa here. I used to go to one religiously when I lived in California. I went in to make an appointment and pick up a few things and only got as far as their little shop. If you are accustomed to the Aveda experience, then this is NOT the place for you. Shame on them for calling themselves an Aveda spa and salon when the girls working there don't know jack about their own products. I wasn't about to waste money on a facial; afraid the esthetician was as unknowledgable as their front desk. I asked if they were getting the chakra spray line in, and neither of the girls knew what I was talking about. In fact, one of them told me Aveda didn't have any perfume or essential oils for sale! Not helpful, more interested in talking to the other staff. This is not how Aveda runs their stores and spas, shame on you MCM, change your name if you can't live up to the Aveda brand!
