I first crossed paths with Lee Goldberg a little over two years ago when I saw an open house GCI Guys sign on my neighbors house in Summerport subdivision in Windermere. I stopped over since I was close to putting my house up for sale. Over the years I have had quite a few bad experiences with realtors and had just come off a bad experience with the realtor I used in purchase of current home a year earlier. I was looking for a new realtor, Lee had me at hello! What a personable, knowledgeable and most important the most honest and ethical guy I have ever done business with in real estate. Lee put my house on the market and got me a buyer in contract, near asking price within 30 days! Lee is a rare breed in business today, great work ethic and honest to the core. So I just couldn't wait for an opportunity to refer a friend or neighbor to Lee to pay him back for his generosity! Within a few weeks I got that chance to refer a friend of 30 years to Lee. My buddy was moving from New York to Winter Garden, he's a retired NYC Police Officer and a tough guy to please. Not only was he thrilled with Lee getting him into a beautiful home in Summerlake, he was blown away that Lee gave him money back at closing. We both now automatically refer anyone we know looking to buy or sell a home to The GCI Guys. Lee and Gary may be realtors by trade but in reality they are in the business of building relationships with clients by treating them so well. My husband and I made the decision to start looking at homes when we got our renewal statement from our apartment complex and really couldn't stomach what we were paying for rent anymore. We called a mortgage broker on a whim, thinking we'd never get qualified for what we wanted. Much to our surprise we were qualified, and the broker forwarded us to Lee at GCI. For 2 people who had no idea what we were getting into, Lee was the best we could have hoped for. He, and his partner Gary, put up with our questions, and showed us great homes. The entire buying experience was a whirlwind, but it was so easy with Lee and his team helping us out. He was even there post-closing when we had an issue with our brand new roof! We are so thankful to have gotten hooked up with this company, and everyone they're associated with, to help us through this process and get us into a home. No offense to other realtors but to me they are a dime a dozen in Orlando. I would have no problem arguing this opinion until I met The GCI Guys (Lee Goldberg and Gary Cohl). What was an easy deal to sell my home and move just 4 miles down the road fell apart when I lost my job. Instead of moving on to another deal the GCI Guys went from realtors to friends. Gary helped my wife find two tenants for our rental properties and didn't charge what would have been a $2,000 fee. Lee truly did answer every text, call, and e-mail within minutes. Not only did he bend over backwards to keep both deals alive but he even allowed us to use their Uhaul truck. As if that wasn't enough he played mover and helped move a washer and dryer. The GCI Guys truly know buying\selling a house can be very stressful and treat their clients accordingly. Find another realtor that will offer to give up 1% of their commission on every deal and also move an appliance if you need an extra hand. Lee and Team were AMAZING from the very start. We had (unfortunately) hired another Agent when we first listed. She was super unresponsive. She had a team of inexperienced kids that manned the open houses. She never once stepped foot in our home after we signed the paperwork. We were frustrated. We called Lee on a whim after he had contacted us about showing our home for one of his buyers. We asked him for feedback about our home as we were not getting anything from our then Agent. He took his time in speaking with us and provided immensely valuable suggestions on quick cheap ways to appeal to more buyers. We parted ways with our Agent and hired Lee that week. Not only did he find us a Buyer within a matter of a couple weeks, he lined up a BACKUP buyer offer within DAYS after the First rescinded their offer. He was with us EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. Being a first time home-buyer, I was a little confused about realtors in general. I didn't really understand what they were going to be able to do to help me in a new-build situation. I got the number for Lee at the GCI Guys from a friend, and I am so glad I called him. He is so knowledgable about real estate and really made me feel comfortable about the home-buying experience. I took him with me to look at a model and he was able to identify several inconsistencies with what I had been told previously and what I was being told with a realtor present.
