He has fixed my cheap Squire fretless bass and commented that it was actually good sounding to his ears. He has also fixed a dear friend's 1950s Gibson acoustic and did an excellent Job on it. It sounds so incredibly better.. Aside that fair amount of serious repairs, he was very good about communicating extra things he discovered on this 70+ yr old horse that he asked if I wanted repaired and it was contingent upon the initial issue to be resolved that it needed to be done. Most car shops find things wrong to upsell you, but this is not the place for that. Be assured that after getting my bass, and forgot my 1st Guild he set a long while back is still a daily horse, perfect, then this prized Gibson now sounds majestic; I'm super happy with Gregory's knowledge and friendly savvy candor. She offered to hold the drum for me all week since I couldn't get there until Saturday. I work in North Dallas and it was still a bit of drive to Denton, but boy was it worth it. I asked a question about the drum to the owner, Glen, and the first words out of his mouth were, "I know that I'm taking off $15.00 because of a slight tear on the drum head!" I hadn't even noticed it! He then offered to help me whenever I wanted to replace the drum head in the far future. His employee was also very nice. So I would highly recom- mend this pawn shop to anyone looking for a used instrument. They deal in high end equipment and their prices are very reasonable.

Houghton Horns will always have my business. I took the baritone to another location first and was told it would be 2 weeks BEFORE it could be looked at. The quote was $300. And the employee there (Bell's) was very short with me and rude. I then went to Houghton and was told I would likely have it in a day or 2 and the cost was over half the price!
