However, the attractions of being so high up are obvious once you're up there (there's a lift if your legs don't fancy the walk up) - you get a lovely view and on the evening I visited, I saw Guildford Cathedral looking all pretty and lit up They've made a real effort to make the rrestaurant feel an oasis from the harsh reality of the concrete car park and the moment you step in, you're greeted with an authentic 'Namaste' from the staff with the traditional Thai hand together greeting. The decor is great, from the Koi pond to the lovely relaxing bar area with lots of comfy sofas. My friend and I were almost too comfortable to want to move through for our meal! We started with grilled chicken with a sweet chilli sauce. The chicken was nicely moist and enhanced by the sauce. The star of our main courses was the mixed seafood dish, which had lovely large pieces of fish, sweet scallops, prawns and squid. We also had a subtly and sympathetically spiced pork with aubergine. The flavours and depth with the heat, freshness, textures and aromas was utterly amazing. This is going to be my go-to from the menu now while I couple it with something else new to try.
