What we have here s failure to communicate. Called them for a replacement patio door. Text sent a guy up to measure right away. Five days later I called and got cut off without getting an estimate so i emailed them via the ink on their website, two days later Iemailed again expressing my disappointment in getting no reply. IFINALLY got through on the telephone and was told they "Callaghan mr ten times with no answer". (Please, don't gaslight mr)they indicated a down payment was customary 9. Iwas lead to believe it would be $300. So i sent a photo of my credit card and later got an alert from venture that someone had charged 41300 BUCKS ON MY CREDIT CARD. SO I PHONED YET ADAIN AND WAS ASSURED"OH NO, WE TAKE A 50%DOWN PAYMRENT"THEY MIGHT HAVE MENTIONED THAT EATHER THAN MAKE IT A SURPRISE!!I SURE GladD IT ISN'T A ROOF JOB) I WAS ALSO TOLD THE INSTALLER WOULD BE CALLING TO SET UP THE INSTALL. Once again, my telephone didn't ring gor days on end. After emailing 'Kayla back and forth ads nauseam.it's amazing that she NEVER ONCE mentioned their"four week Lesh time" after communicating with Kayla i had the expectation that my door replacement would have been done days ago, i finally spoke with the manager this morning and was was told they it'll be expedited and I only have to wait three more weeks!!!kayla very conveniently omits an awful lot of information when 'Communicating"I'm very disappointed i got a lot of promised, and a lot of disappointments. I just want to start off by saying this company over promised, and under delivered. The employees of this company was not attentive to detail. Let's start from day one. The employees came with missing windows and they had to order it, they ended up sealing the missing window with a piece of plywood. And it stayed that way for three months. They brought over the screens for the windows and they are all dirty and dusty. We had them send it back and clean it and bring it back to us. The installers installed the windows carelessly and the sliding door has a safety lock on it that is not aligned to the hole that they drilled in the wrong area. It's completely off not to mention that same sliding door. Steve being unprofessional came to work with an attitude, the company hires people with an attitude, and that don't want to fix their mistake or admit it I would never do business with them again, and I will never recommend them to anybody. Please find another window installer. I am very disappointed. When you spend over $30,000 you expect to get quality. Go for cheaper not high end because windows are all the same quality no matter if you spend $1.00 or $30,000. My gut wanted to go with another company that was $10,000 lower for the same work lifetime warranty but ended up going with the glass shop because the sales rep said you won't be sorry we do excellent work. I am sorry. Some of the windows that were fogged up or replaced by the manufacturer as well as fixed their mistakes in terms of glue coming off the side windows and the manufacturer even fixed the safety lock hole. Any company would say sorry it took us a long time and for the troubles we will give some kind of discount. It's unfortunate because I know 4 other families who are looking to get windows because of new construction. The sliding door was they installed the safety lock was not aligned the employee Steve walked away from it not mentioning that was a problem as he didn't care. see photos. Huge shoutout to The Glass Shop for giving me back some peace of mind over the whole ordeal from yesterday! Someone decided to throw a socket wrench socket through my window. . . . The Glass Shop was quick and courteous. I was dreading having to call and have the window repaired. But they made it so easy! I called this morning and they said they could fix my window today! So I drove over after hanging up, and I was able to get my window repaired for $50 and under 15 mins. Learning how to take out my slider window, I saved time and $75 taking it into their shop! The women up at the front desk were very kind when I called and when I went into the shop. I like how they had really comfy couches to sit on while you waited. We have had a great experience with the Glass Shop from the first day we went. Windows are expensive no matter where you go and we price shopped many many businesses and found The Glass Shop had fair prices and good reviews. Unfortunately we couldn't afford to replace all the windows in our house all at once so we had to place 3 separate orders to finally get all the windows changed out (6-8 windows at a time). Each delivery experience was great. The windows are taking longer and longer to get made but that's a supply issue, not a Glass Shop issue. The installation crews have all been knowledgeable and friendly. Today they took extra time to protect my house and carpet from potential breaking glass as our old window was stubborn and brittle and wasn't coming out without a fight. Instead of just letting the window shatter and doing a quick vacuum job in the end, the guys took their time taking the window out piece by piece and doing their best to prevent glass shards. The guy on the outside was meticulous with the caulking and taped off the window and Fred, the guy on the inside of the house was a pro at caulking and leveling. The windows look amazing and they paid attention to detail. When they cleaned the newly installed window they were the first to notice and report to me a flaw in the window from the manufacturer. Without any hassle at all, Fred said he would get a new window made and they would take care of it all. After our first install, there was a window that needed adjusting and The Glass Shop was easy to get in touch with and they sent someone out right away to adjust the window. We have loved their customer service, attention to detail and great employees. Definitely recommend them to anyone. read more

We're on a budget so my wife suggested Lowe's or Home Depot for our sliding patio door. I said, "Let's support a small, local place." Spoiler: should have listened to my wife. Just the facts: 1. Installation was either comically/tragically bad. Laugh or cry? You decide! Take a look at the photos yourself. 2. After seeing the photos I sent them, they agreed to send a new team to fix the door later in the week. 3. In the meantime, billing department calls asking for the remaining balance. Sorry, no. Not a penny until the door is installed properly. 4. The second team did a nice job on the "do-over". (Thus two stars instead of one.) 5. I called and paid the remaining balance. And now for the cherry on top. 6. A week later, billing department mistakenly calls asking for payment. I tell them the balance has been paid in full. They say their paperwork says otherwise. 7. They call back to say Oopsie, you're right: balance paid in full. Look, I know communication across departments is hard. I know hiring good workers can be hard. I know mistakes happen. It gives me no pleasure to torch a local business on Yelp. But this fiasco took a lot of my time and we never even received a follow-up call from the Glass Shop asking whether we were satisfied with the second team's fix. For a place that likes to make so many extra calls for payment, I'm surprised they couldn't fit in one more call to make sure we were satisfied with the do-over. read more

I had The Glass Shop replace two bad dual-pane windows. The problem was that the installer replaced one bad window, but he did not replace the glass for the sliding glass door. Instead, he replaced the other non-movable sliding glass door section which was a perfectly good piece of glass with a new piece of glass! The installer left a mess. I called to complain about this mistake and the woman said that she would talk to the installation manager. I never heard from him. Then I called again and a woman said that the owner would call me. She said she would treat this as a warranty issue. I never heard from the owner or anyone else and this was over a month ago. For a $1000.00, this was poor customer service and installation. We continue to use them because of their friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Just be aware that you have to be patient, their ordering and installation once ordered can take 2 months, but the wait is tolerated because of their products. read more

Found the Glass Shop on Yelp after contacting 3 other local shops that never responded to my inquiries. The Glass Shop was very responsive and they sent Scott out to give me a presentation of their products. He was very thorough and brought window samples and demonstration of their performance with sun and heat. We chose to go with top of the line Anlin windows. After putting down our deposit the windows arrived about three weeks later at their shop and they scheduled the installation. Juan and Donny came and installed 7 of them and then a few months later, after we saved some more money, came and installed the balance of seven more. They were very courteous and did a very professional job. We have already noticed a HUGE difference in the retention of heat this winter and the chill we always felt emanating from the windows is gone. I am curious to see how they perform this summer when the temperature gets up around a hundred but I have no doubt they will perform as expected. Another benefit was how much more quiet it is inside. We had a few hiccups along the way, nothing serious, and they were very responsive to our needs. We are very happy with their products and services. I highly recommend them! read more

Our old master bathroom shower door needed to be replaced. The Glass Shop was prompt with sending out someone to measure and providing a quote at a reasonable price. Our shower door is a complicated design, with numerous panels of different lengths. The end product came out fantastic and really provided an updated look. I have walked in numerous times to have glass cut and every time the guys in the back have been wonderfully professional, helpful and go above and beyond. I recently purchased a custom cut glass piece for a mirror and it didn't fit the frame. The frame was actually bent, so they fixed the frame for me, remeasured the frame, recut a new piece of glass no questions asked, ran the glass through a machine to smooth out the sides and even cleaned the glass for me. They went above and beyond and they did it because they were just being good ol fashioned helpful professionals. They were all very warm and kind and I appreciate it so much! I know whenever I need help with cutting glass (and I have pieces cut pretty often) they are going to make it a wonderfully smooth experience for me. Thank you! read more

We needed to get a screen door for my mother-In-law. We went to the store and it took them 3 days to come out and measure it. They took 4 days after that to get us a quote. It was supposed to be ready Saturday morning to be picked up. We got there a little before 11:00 AM to pick it up and had to come back right before they closed because it wasn't ready when promised. Since we don't live in town it was a real pain to work with them. I hope they don't treat the"Locals" the same way. read more
