I give JZ construction a five star. I contacted them in Mid March and was given an appt to speak with Chad. I was very straight forward and told chad I just wanted something simple, a white sliding patio door, nothing fancy. He was nice and very honest and said they aren't the cheapest but would be gladly to send me a free estimate via email. He Asked for my patio door measurements, which I didn't have but he wasn't rude about it and instead chad sent me two sliding patio door measurement estimates of what he believes I might have. I went through the paper work and honestly, the pricing was perfect! it wasn't too cheap where i was going to get a shitty job done or too expensive. I believe the price was right and not pricey at all. The estimate was good for a month, so I decided to shop around and see what other options I may have but Covid-19 hit and I just put everything to a pause. A month later in April, I decided that I really needed my door fix ASAP! I decided to email Chad back and from there we made the arrangements to have my sliding door fixed! Everything went smoothly and no miscommunications at all. (That's a plus for me!) He did sent out his contractor (very nice) to make the final measurements of my door before ordering the sliding door. My date for installation was anywhere from June 11-15. I waited a month but well worth the wait for installation. The guy who came was nice, I forgot how long it took him, but it was a one day installation. I recently had siding installed on my home by JZ windows and doors. I had originally had them install windows and sliding doors for my entire home a few years ago. I was so pleased with them that I picked them to do the siding. They were just as impressive with this project as the last. Initially I met with Aaron who told me how the process would go. I had my doubts about a project this size, but he was great about alleviating my fears. There was no pressure whatsoever and he let me spend as much time as I needed to decide. It took their two man crew, Tae and his son Sam, just a little over a week to finish the project. And it came out perfect. They worked diligently, were here every day on time and you could tell they were real pros. They were neat, courteous and so quiet sometimes I couldn't even tell if they were there. I promised JZ I would write a review and here it is. I had originally went to Clovis Glass for new windows. Long story short, I had gotten a quote from Clovis Glass around November and was told the installation date. Well couple months down the road, I kept getting the run around with Clovis Glass. One time it was the measurements were wrong and the next time they said the windows weren't even ordered. I basically told Clovis Glass to shove it. Their customer service sucks, non of the staff communicate with each other and the company is extremely disorganized. Honestly, Clovis Glass put's the name "Clovis" to shame. You can read my review of them on their page. I contacted JZ Construction for help. Chad responded in a timely manner and came out to measure all the windows. Later I went to the shop and checked out the different windows and options. Chad is very knowledgeable and patient. I'm the type of guy that needs to know a product inside and out before I buy it. Chad went over all the specs and dimensions of all the different windows. Over the coarse of about 3 weeks, I went back to the shop 4 or 5 times. I always had different questions about the windows. Every time, Chad gave me his undivided attention. I ended up going with the Catalina windows. I'm very happy about my purchase. The outside noise has been cut down drastically, the summer heat isn't turning my house into an oven and the appearance is also very nice and high quality. Installation was a breeze. The guys that came out were actually friendly and professional and not a bunch of guys found off craiglist or the home depot parking lot. When it was all said and done, the quote from JZ was a little more than Clovis Glass but I'll tell anyone that you get what you pay for. JZ's customer service is miles ahead of Clovis Glass. I called JZ Construction to ask if they made/repaired window & door screens, they don't but recommended Rob Bremer from Sierra Aluminum Products to do the work. Rob came out the next morning (Fri) to see what needed to be done, take measurements, and quoted me a fair amount [which was significantly less than what Clovis Glass wanted]. The following Tue (4 days later) he called to say my order was ready (11 window screens + 1 screen door w/ pet resistant screening)! He ended up having to add some extra hardware to the window casings and remake one of the screens (not his fault; misunderstanding), but he wouldn't take any more money. Rob is a gentleman and a scholar (as my dad used to say). It's refreshing to meet someone who takes pride in doing a good job, not just in the joy of payment. I appreciate you Rob and your honest, ethical way of conducting business. I hope this review helps you in some way. What got me interested in JZ Construction was the yelp reviews. What sold me on then was the LOCAL connection across all aspects. I was in search of new windows on a fixer-upper that we just took possession of. I had called another company to only be ghosted by them each time I called. I decided to not rely on friends recommendations and instead went to the Yelp! I was shocked to find a window installer that (1) was locally owned and operated; (2) used locally made Anlin window products and (3) had all 5 star reviews yelp. I just had to call and get together with them!! Let me tell you, all the good reviews about them in yelp are true, and then some!! When I called the office to schedule a first visit, they were quick to get me a date and even the name of the person who would be visiting. The day of the estimate I met Chad, one of the principles of the business who also does the initial estimates and presentations. I really liked that he even called me when he was on his way. We went over the Anlin catalog of products, sample pricing structure and what Anlins' schedule looked like. They got the quote to us rather fast; within 3 days as promised and even worked with us over the weekend to change something on the quote. We were in love with the notion of not having to heat the whole neighborhood since the old windows leaked "like all get out". Chad notified us at initial meeting that Anlin was running with a 6 weeks production time frame, and sure as heck, after sending in the signed quote, having the final measurements completed and getting acknowledgement that the order was in, it was 6 weeks when I get the call that they arrived and JZ Const. were ready to schedule the install. We were only delayed with the install by my screwy schedule, otherwise I would have had them here yesterday. The install crew was wonderful. I was amazed how these 3 guys worked so well together. They were respectful, and professional. Each sliding door took a day to install; only because the process takes the door opening down to the studs and reconfigured it for a perfect fit. The window replacement for 10 windows (some of them almost as big as bay windows) was done in 1/2 of a day. I couldn't believe the whole process, and how fast and efficient it was. At the end of day 1, they cleaned up and the place was completely changed. I was used to sleeping with 2 heavy blankets ever since we moved in, but now I was able to just have a 1 light one. On day 2, it was time for the second slider and finish work on the new windows. By the end of day 2, I was in heaven. I didn't have to 'throw' the sliders back and forth to get them open. I actually had to tame my hands as to not slam the new sliders/ Immediately we noticed a change in the house heating. From having to use the heater every night to not having to from that point forward. I had called into the office for some follow up on a add-on item that needed to be done, and they were here quick, and did it perfectly. It has been about 1 month since the install, and through the cold days, the warm days, and every one in-between, the comfort level has been perfect. I HIGHLY recommend JZ Construction, their use of Anlin Windows, and the whole team in the office (Chad, Mariah, Dani and Juan)!! **Some items to consider: They are cash/check/MO business, but can take credit card (for a fee). Make sure to state which payment method you are going to use to help the office staff out in getting you the correct estimate.** *We changed our mind and switched payment methods at quote time, so it is better to let them know first and foremost as to not delay. Joe and his staff are great to work with. They have great communication skills. They listen to your concerns, if things are not to your satisfaction they will come and address it right away. We replaced all windows and sliding doors, as well as did insulated siding. It was like a new house when it was done. Our outside sound levels are down, a/c is not popping on nearly as often, and we can sleep well at night with house temperature staying more constant. We had JZ replace all of the windows in our house (23 total) and a set of French doors and we couldn't be happier. The entire process was pretty seamless aside from a delay in manufacturing which seems to be the norm these days so no real complaints there either. Juan, Eddie, Antonio, and Romero knocked out all of the windows in two days and Juan came back on Wednesday and spent the entire day doing the French doors by himself. All of them were very professional, clean, and efficient with their work and the end result is amazing. Going from 20+ year old windows to the crisp and clean Anlin product made my wife ask if they still needed to install windows that were already in. We really needed to change 4 windows, plus the the sliding doors looked really old, the screen doors were all ripped (thanks doggies), so we decided to do the whole house, well I'm writing this with the AC off, every time I open the sliding doors I smile, my son's room was so hot even with the AC on, he has this big window facing the afternoon sun all the light and heat coming through well that has changed, now is nice in there. The house looks better and newer. My July electrical bill was about 1/3 lower than the same month last year, and last but not least, the windows now can be open easily in case of an emergency. Extra secure features prevent the windows from being open from the outside. I had all new vinyl siding, Windows and doors put in by JZ construction, over 10 years ago. My door handles broke on my French doors. We thought we where going to have to buy new doors because we couldn't find any way to find the handles To repair it ourselfs. So I called JZ just to see of they could tell me how to find them. I spoke to this really sweet girl named Mariah, she looked up my file, and without hesitation, she called the company and had them send me new door handles with no charge to me.
