Easy to miss but DONT. This is an incredibly organized merchandised and clean building. The staff is so warm and sweet, small talk at check out was so natural and positive. Soft lines (apparel, footwear, linens, pillow) is on the right side. The middle section that connects the two buildings was the fragile items.. glassware, candles, glass home decor. Then the left side was everything else! Everything is so well laid out which isn't the typical for a thrift store. The furniture is all in great shape and priced to value. Seems they filter donations in a way. Tons of Disney movies and outdoor sports gear... clothing was blanket priced (I.E. all ladies tops $2 all men's pants $3 for example) unless otherwise signed or marked. Got some great stuff today!

While dropping off a bag of donated garment, I was approached by a rude and obnoxious employee that insisted on yelling at me for dropping the bag in the wrong bin (an honest mistake). She insisted on being extremely combative with me even though I told her I wasn't sure where the proper drop off was supposed to be. She was extremely rude and had no remorse for her terrible attitude. I treat people with respect, and I would hope that someone in customer service would do the same, especially when someone is trying to donate to charity. I hope this employee eventually understands that a little kindness can go a long way. Again, thank you Amy for your help in settling an uncomfortable situation. Bob

Though, our waitress was 10/10 top notch. We visited antiques and comics store because it was the closest comic store we could find to East Tawas. Their stock did not disappoint! It's all used and second-hand, but I had a great time thumbing through the boxes and checking out the action figures. The issues went as far back at the 1970s that I could see, and went as recent as this year. The part I was most impressed with was their "whole run" section. Theyre they had collected all of the issues of a bunch of short runs, packaged them together, and gave a discount. That way, you got the entire story, like you would if you were getting a graphic novel. I bought two runs! If you're looking for antique knick-knacks or a good deal on comics missing from your collection, this is a good place to stop!

I shared what I was looking for and Becky took her time showing me the sewing machines and their features (hands on). She went above and beyond answering my questions (even stayed open late for us) and made me feel comfortable in my decision. When I went in, they charged me $65.. ok.. They also said it would take "up to 2 weeks" for me to get my ring back. After 2 1/2 weeks of not hearing from them, I called to get an update.. the lady on the phone said "oh, I don't know why they would have told you 2 weeks.. our jeweler went out of town this week, so it's going to be more like 3/4 weeks."
