Everything is kept looking neat, clean & fresh. The center & classrooms are decorated with classroom artwork or candid photos so parents can see what everyone has been up to. I have 2 children in the 4-year old preschool classroom and couldn't be happier. Their teacher is great with the kids and there are always staff members available to help out if the teacher needs a hand. The staff easily stays in touch with each other with walkie talkies. The children's day is tracked electronically for easy communication with parents and management. They are checked in and out of the classrooms each time they move throughout the building for any reason so that no child ever gets forgotten or misplaced. The tadpole application tracks meals, what each child eats, nap times and what competencies they worked on each day. They also have the ability to send individual messages or photos to the parents if their is a particular concern. i.e. - I received pictures via the app on my kids' first day, just to show that they were adjusting and settling in but I also received a notification with picture when my daughter fell off the trike on the playground to show she had an accident but that she was ok. The system also emails parents and phone calls are made if action is necessary, such as if a child is sick and needs to be picked up. My kids are learning so much through play, yet are also given plenty of opportunities to make independent choices each day in a fun & safe environment. My kids are happy to go to "school" each morning but are still happy to see me when I pick them up each evening, it is the best of both worlds. Upon our move to this area, I called and visited many daycare centers before making my selection and I couldn't be happier!

I'm so grateful because we've had such a good experience here. My child started here when he was 1.5 and now he is 4. Every single stage/room has always had loving employees. I don't even like calling them employees because they are truly like a 2nd or 3rd mother to my kiddo. He asks when he's going to school every single day, there has NEVER been a day where he asked to stay home or didn't want to go. To me, this is the most important sign of a center that takes care of their kids like their own. The location is so deceiving when driving by, but the owner takes SUCH good care of the place, it truly feels more like a home. I have an older child who's been through 3 different centers and there is a clear difference of care from our past experiences. From the celebrations, decorations, the plants, the play area, the crafts, the gifts made, down to what they are taught is so thought in detail. I've seen the owner decide one day that one of the rooms wasn't bright and she didn't like the color any longer and decided to paint it over the weekend. She is always improving the place and it is CLEAR it is well taken care of. My son runs to his teachers every morning and gives them big hugs and even on the weekends he's asking if they miss him as much as he misses them each of his teachers have been so sweet and I'm so thankful for them. Truly, a daycare that feels like a home is the ultimate goal. This place is a hidden gem!

During each stage of Jack's development, the staff worked with us (parents) to ensure that they were maximizing his potential. They strive for personalized excellence, and in doing so, Garden students have the unique opportunity to learn about their passions. For example, Jack is especially interested in the solar system. The knowledgeable and Montessori-trained teachers provided specific (solar system!) opportunities which allowed him to nurture this passion. Jack is so proud of his working knowledge of the solar system, and I strongly believe that is because he was provided with stimulating work related to this passion. Jack has also matured socially, and I credit Garden for this. He has developed a strong sense of justice (one of the many virtues that Garden instills), independence, curiosity, and kindness. While only in kindergarten, he is already an advanced reader, completes complex math problems, and loves to learn. I believe that this love of learning is essential for children to continue on to traditional school methods and beyond. We are so grateful for the incredibly gifted staff at Garden. They are attentive, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Every day I drop Jack off at school, I know he is in good hands.

Just over a month after the nanny started, she told us she had some changes to her personal life and wouldn't be able to nanny for us anymore. When we brought this to East Wind, they talked to her, and it seems like they probably strong armed her into continuing to work for us when she didn't want to. When she quit a few weeks later, East Wind Nannies was unwilling to work with us to find a replacement, demanding an entire placement fee. Their fee is based on a percentage of the nanny's yearly pay, so we ended up vastly overpaying for a nanny that lasted less than 3 months. Despite telling East Wind Nannies I'd be happy to pay a pro-rated fee and continue to work with them for years to come, they refused to work with us, and so now I feel I must warn any potential future clients of theirs - stay away! They pretend like they're a partner to your family, but at the end of the day they just want to make money, and don't care about a long-term positive relationship with the families they claim to serve.

Our daughter started at Allie Alligator when she was just 3.5 months old. We truly loved her…read moreteachers--they've been wonderful, caring, and loving toward her. However, the lack of action from management has been incredibly disappointing and frankly, heartbreaking. Since April 1st, our now 14-month-old daughter has been bitten over 10 times. Of those bites, four broke the skin, one led to a thumb infection that she's still dealing with today, she was bitten twice in one day just two weeks ago, and today, she was bitten in the face. We know toddlers bite--it's developmentally normal--and we were more than understanding of a couple of incidents. But at this point, she is sustaining bites every week, sometimes multiple times per week, and it's gotten to the point where we fear for her safety every time we drop her off. After about the fifth bite, we brought our concerns to management and were told a "plan" was in place and that they were working with the parents. We're now almost a month out from that conversation, and nothing has changed. In fact, the bite pattern has gotten significantly worse. The bites now take nearly a week to heal, and because she's being bitten so often, she constantly has visible bite marks on her little body. Today, I got a call at work saying another child had bitten my daughter in the face. HER FACE. This is the 10th or 11th bite since April 1st. My husband went to speak with the office, expressed our concerns, and let them know our daughter would not be returning. He was met with, "I'm sorry you feel that way." Sorry we feel what? That our daughter isn't safe in your care? That we feel awful dropping her off each day, wondering what new injury she might come home with? That we expect better protection for babies who rely entirely on you to keep them safe? That response told us everything we needed to know about how seriously our concerns were being taken. We are devastated to be pulling her out of a place where she truly loved her teachers, but we can't keep her somewhere that fails to protect her and dismisses repeated, serious concerns. Please take this into account if you're considering this facility for your child. I do want to sincerely recognize Eva, Jill, and Maddie from the infant room, and Nadia, Anya, and Abi from the toddler room. These women have been phenomenal with our daughter. They are the reason we stayed as long as we did. They truly love and care for these kids like their own, and they deserve far better support from leadership.

Unfortunately it has become more and more crowded to the point of excessive overcrowding. There is no such thing as an off peak time to go. In the summer months, I don't go at all due to all the camp children overrunning the building and outdoor grounds. You can't even use the outdoor track because the kids are all over it. Despite having two large grass areas at their disposal, the counselors allow these children to be all over the track including their backpacks.
