Each morning we would drop her and her school materials off and when we picked her up she was happy, tired from playing and had all schoolwork completed and submitted. Our kiddo goes to a private school so Bixia and her staff had to facilitate this on a completely different platform than what was used in the county schools. If there was a question, concern or missing worksheet, we got an immediate phone call. She loved doing taekwando in the afternoon. She has spent a good part of the summer there as well rotating between STEM and Adventure camp. They have provided a quality experience that is engaging and has included Covid friendly field trips.

He got very sick, and was one of three kids who were sent home in one day. We took him to the ER after learning he passed out at camp and after multiple calls with counselors and the owner, we still had no idea what happened to him. His symptoms were that of heat exhaustion or a concussion but the counselors' recalls of what happen were misaligned. In addition, from our son we learned that they had limited outdoor time and when he came home each day before his incident he said "I need to get my energy out, we stayed inside most of the day". I also noticed that the camper to counselor ratio was not great and was skeptical about sending both boys the following week. The next week we decided to send both boys to keep our schedules intact (I realize we should not have sent them after week one's incident) and they complained about the camp each day, saying they were stuck inside all day and they didn't do many activities. They also said the facilities were cramped and "dirty". On Wednesday there was a "suspected" lice outbreak. We pulled them out of the camp on Wednesday and they didn't attend the final days. Finally, unbeknownst to the camp counselors, our son exchanged one of his crocs with a new friends. We communicated with the counselors and owner to exchange the shoes and they were unwilling to help. They actually never replied to multiple emails and didn't return our call. Should my son have done that? No, of course not and I should have noticed before we headed home that Wednesday. But the lack of communication when we sought help, and the lack of oversight from their hired staff gives indication that the camp isn't run well and is overprescribed. The name SmartFit Kids is a misleading name for a camp that neither focuses on development, health or safety.

And if you cancel it within two weeks before the camp starting date, you will get no refund! Read their demanding policy before you register! Yes, I signed it, but I did not read the policy and assumed this camp's policy was similar to other camps' policy in this area that there is no charge if a cancellation happens more than 40 days before the camp starting date. I write this review just to remind people PLEASE READ THE POLICY! There will be NO REFUND for CANCELLATIONS AFTER JUNE 1. Club Scientific Chesapeake offers all kinds of programs, but the one I'm reviewing is the one my…read moreson attended, which is for the Summer Camp of Camp Jurassic for ages 4-5 years old. I knew it was the perfect camp for my son since Camp Jurassic deals with dinosaurs and gemstones, both of which my son loves. The camp staff seem to be very caring of the children and offer plenty of fun activities. My son was excited every day to go to camp (and it was his first time ever going to camp) and after each day he always brought home a variety of projects that they had worked on during the day which varies from an erupting volcano, to an edible volcano, to a dinosaur model, to magnetic gemstones, rock candy, and so much more! My son was thrilled to go on a dinosaur dig where he "discovered" dinosaur bones that they put together. I'm thrilled to discover a camp that challenges my son both mentally (since they do scientific experiments and learning projects) as well as physically when they go outside to play. I've never seen my son so excited about attending anything before and he comes home every day with stories of all the fun he had during the day and all the new things he's learned. I highly recommend this company if you're looking for some place for your child to have a lot of fun as well as learn a lot in the process, since my son can't seem to stop raving about how great of an experience he's had with them!

We specifically asked if this would be an issue and were told it would not be. Based on that assurance, we paid the enrollment fees for both of our children, with a start date of 12/8. After payment and after setting up a shared email at the school's request, Kiddie Academy informed us of new requirements for specialists entering the building, including a background check through the school and a medical report. These requirements were never disclosed prior to enrollment. As a result, our son's IEP team informed us they could not provide services at this location due to the requirements imposed. Because our son could not receive legally required services, we were forced to withdraw both children. To make matters worse, the school also changed our start date from 12/8 to 12/15 without consulting us. We contacted the school multiple times requesting a refund since we enrolled based on information that turned out to be incomplete or misleading and no services were ever provided. Our concerns were not adequately addressed. Families with children who have special needs should ask very detailed questions and get everything in writing before enrolling. Transparency and communication were extremely lacking in our experience

I chose the VIP package again, and it is worth every single penny. I had just driven in from Florida the night before, and honestly, it felt like I attended my daughter's party as a guest. That's how effortless everything was. This is actually my second time leaving a review because that's how exceptional this place is. The kids had an incredible time -- fully engaged from start to finish. Miss Tatiana, Coach Cameron, and the entire team were outstanding. They managed everything seamlessly and kept the energy high the entire time. What truly sets Emilia's apart is how little you have to do as a parent. I shared a few ideas and color preferences, and they handled everything -- decorations, setup, flow of the party -- all of it. No stress, no back-and-forth, just execution. The party ran for three hours, and the kids were genuinely upset when it ended. Even parents who arrived early found their kids still fully engaged and not ready to leave. You can tell the staff truly love what they do, and that makes all the difference. Working with Tatiana was effortless -- I mentioned what I wanted, and she made it happen without hesitation. After a long trip, walking into a perfectly organized and beautifully executed party meant everything. My daughter was so happy, and that's what matters most. If you're looking for a place where your child will have an amazing time and you can actually enjoy the party without stress, this is it. Highly, highly recommend.

Not just because of small class size, personal feel, or community vibe that I wanted for preschool. But it ended up being so much more! You get to meet alot of other parents and families and get to interact with teachers and the other kids. Being a working parent is great, you get to see what your kid is doing in school and how much they like it, but it's also a security to know there is always another parents eyes in the classroom. The 3 class is a great transition into school. Even if one kid needs hugs during class, that's your job. It's great to know the toddlers get the one on one that they need until they settle. Also is a good structure to enforce potty training, lots of potty breaks for those who need to be prompted. Already put a deposit down for next fall! Couldn't have hoped for more in a personal feel for a preschool.
