I believe his love of reading started early because of Phoenix Montessori and their way for building confidence in young readers! His math skills are also strong because of the early foundation of skills he learned there. This year my middle child will be returning for her second year (kindergarten year) and my youngest will start his pre-year ! I can't wait to see what this year will bring! Besides the educational benefits, we have made life long friends with parents and students. We drive 20 min to get to school because it is so worth it!

They quickly discover how best to motivate your child. You will be surprised at how the teachers' gentle guidance and support will transform your child into a happy, excited learner. Our oldest daughter (now 7) attended Phoenix for preschool and kindergarten, and our youngest (3) is currently enrolled. The curriculum is challenging but also gives them ample opportunity to express themselves with art and other projects. Even after graduation, the teachers remain interested in your child's success and are a helpful resource as you transition into a regular school. One of our favorite things about Phoenix is that graduates are always welcome to come back a visit ... creating a wonderful continuity in their education! I cannot recommend the school enough. If you want an exceptional Montessori education for your child, Phoenix is a perfect option.

This school didn't last even 30 days. Infant care is extremely tough to find so once we realized this school wasn't a good fit there were no other schools that had places. They actually do all of the developmental activities they say they do. There are a lot of places out there that don't care, but here they do. Mrs. Sandy in 0-6months is a soft spoken loving woman, I felt so comfortable leaving my baby with her and didn't want my baby to move out of her room. Mrs. Karina was her next teacher in 6-12 months and the room is still connected to Mrs. Sandy's which I liked. Mrs. K is fun, caring, and really works with the kids. She'll turn your baby into a toddler which you will love/hate :p I also have older that went here and I can say that Mrs. Jeanette and Mrs. Jessica were quickly favored. Even the teachers aids are great. They always put up new photos and charts to show what the kids have been doing and if I have any issues the director Stephanie, and the assistant director Gretchen are are wonderful, attentive leaders who get down in the trenches with their co-workers. I got on Yelp originally to look for a new day care that was closer to my house. Instead I noticed there were no reviews for this day care. I having gone here for so long I decided to write one. After saying all I have stay, I don't care how far it is I wouldn't trust anyone else with my children.

Communication with this location is extremely challenging. We were so often frustrated with…read moreextremely slow responses - 1month or more on average with multiple follow ups to get important paperwork, for example (the only way we got results was escalating to leadership above this specific location's senior staff or physically stopping by and waiting until paperwork was provided). Monthly calendars were not delivered in a timely manner, making it hard to have fun with and effectively plan for themed days. Major events like the Christmas program and graduation followed this same pattern, making involving family in these important milestone events challenging and sometimes impossible. Staff turnover is high. This is apparently due to concerns with compensation, pressure, hours, internal politics and lack of fulfilled growth plans promised (from reviews elsewhere and first-person accounts from staff). The cost per week is on the higher side for our area. There seems to be a disparity. We were unhappy with philosophies of the leadership that no longer aligned with our values and ethics, and the culture we were promised when we chose SB for our childcare, which resulted in our ultimate departure. There is no more important decision than with whom you entrust the care of your children. Anyone searching for childcare should be thorough in researching a center's license, history and reviews from both customers and staff. If a center isn't timely in returning your interest inquiry, as multiple reviews indicate, take that as an important signal of their value system and ability to service the families attending the center. There were several teachers throughout our time at the center that were extraordinary. Most have left. Classic example of "could be great" and "should be great." But isn't.

By the time she got to pre K we had issues with bullying from the other kids, especially with two teachers in the class room. We had to address it a number of times in less than a week. Things seemed to get a little better but not totally satisfied with the outcome. They did "assessments" on the kids which helped track the development about every quarter. Only problem was it did not assess if they were on track for their age. Some of the assessments did not mirror what we were seeing at home. Some of the assessments said we should hold our daughter back in Pre k for another year. We chose not to and our daughter is thriving in Kindergarten. The new manager did not send out information in a timely manager.
