We love the daily report card, the ability to watch a live video feed of our daughter's classroom, and the safe and secure location. When accidents have occurred (which happen to all babies as they learn and grow), they have been addressed promptly and my wife and I are notified the next time we pick-up our daughter. Miss Madison, Miss Grace, and many of the other staff members have been fabulous to trust our daughter with each day. We have loved watching her grow over the past year and look forward to the months and years to come. You get what you pay for in a daycare, and LSP is truly worth every penny. From the work-friendly drop-off (6:00am) and pick-up (6:00pm) times to the loving teachers and everything in between, we greatly appreciate LSP!

We had a rocky start with our oldest daughter as being born during covid made for a harder transition to daycare. That being said, Parkwood worked with her and by the time she was into their preschool program she was thriving and had a strong community of kids and teachers at her disposal. By the time she "graduated" from pre-k last year we had met most of the staff and were really thrilled with everything about our experience from the extremely low turnover of staff, to the approachability of the program director, to the dedication of the founder who is still very much involved. Our daughter left Parkwood being able to write her name, read a few words, and even knowing some spanish and yoga. Nowadays, our 14 month old goes here and at this point it very much feels like we are part of a bigger community as we know many of the other families that also send their kids here, and we know the staff really well. Parkwood is now located in Overland Park at Indian Heights United Methodist Church and while it's been a while waiting on the new addition - they are working on a standalone building that will serve as their primary care center here, which I think will be wonderful once it's completed. I won't sugarcoat the price as it isn't cheap to send kids here, but it isn't the MOST expensive in town either. I find that Parkwood Day School does a good job of keeping costs as low as they can while also maintaining a safe, clean, and educational environment for all the kids that attend. All this to say, I feel really lucky to have found this school and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a good daycare/preschool to send their little ones to.

Lead teachers…read moremust have a CDA, AA, or BA in Early Childhood Education or a related field, and they prefer them to have a working plan to complete a Bachelor's in ECE or related field. They support researched-based developmental learning for children 6 weeks to 6 years old and also have therapists (PT, OT, and speech) on site to conduct regular screenings to determine if your child needs additional developmental support/IEP. As a speech therapist myself, I was pleased to see therapy services are offered because they were not at several other places we toured. They just recently started using an app that logs your child's nap times, feeding times/amount, and potty. The thing my husband and I love is they upload pictures throughout the day and describe what activity your child is working on and what developmental skill it targets (fine motor, gross motor, eye-hand coordination, sitting core strength, language, etc). The staff is friendly, quick to respond, and our daughter is always happy upon drop-off and pick-up. Highly recommend Parkwood.

I wanted a school where they would be loved and comforted, receive educational enrichment and really begin to grow into the little people they will become. It was also very important that they attend a school with a Christian based teaching and care philosophy. Bethany Lutheran fit the bill perfectly! The teachers and staff made me feel comfortable and secure leaving my children in their care and the smiles I see at pick up tell me they are truly enjoying their time at school. While at Bethany I have seen a dramatic leap in my children's development and I absolutely give credit to their fantastic teacher's who work with them to provide an edge; both with their educational and personal development. I have clearly made the right choice for my family with Bethany Lutheran and recommend this program to anyone looking for quality, loving, Christian-based childcare.

We did Not return becuase we felt it Was unsafe. it's 16000+ a year but only for some. if you hold out they discount the tuition because they don't seem to hit their enrollment goal.

The workers have been fantastic, they truly care about children and take good care of them, the management is the issue here for their discriminatory practices and lying to parents and staff regarding the reason for kicking him out. We are devastated to change our opinion on a place we called home for more than 5 years, but feel strongly that it's important for parents to know.

The facility offers many features including an indoor pool, a huge 50M outdoor lap pool, water slides, diving boards, squash courts (my personal fav), racket ball courts, kids gym with rock climbing wall, basketball courts, indoor track, weight room, yoga studio, spinning studio, tennis courts, softball diamonds, soccer fields... Whew... That is just the athletic facilities. They also offer many other community related services such as pre-school, day care, child and adult education, self defense training, fine arts programming... etc... The JCC is truly a world-class facility and my corporate membership that costs ~$50 per month is a steal! Generally speaking, for such a large facility with so many members, the place never seems jam-packed with people like Life Time Fitness always seems to be. The longest that I've ever waited for a lane at the indoor pool is about 30 minutes. 95% of the time I dont even need to wait. I've never waited for a lane at the outdoor pool and I always am able to schedule a squash court. I hesitate to write this review because I dont want a mad-rush of new members to spoil my oasis... :-D The JCC is a truly great facility and a asset to the greater KC Area...

The only reason I'm going 4/5 is because the complex is massive and for folks like me that are only coming once a week for a class it was really hard to find where I needed to go on day one and the folks at the front desk had no idea where the dance classes were held. They were very nice though so that did soften the blow. Now that I know where to go it's all smooth sailing and I'd recommend them to others.

Other childcare facilities said I had to have a doctor's note for them to accommodate (um, no). When asked AAC, here's their response, which I think will help you understand what they're all about: Oh our owner is very passionate about different eating preferences, in fact, she is meeting with the chef and they are revamping the menu. They like to make different meals look the same so the kids don't feel odd eating something different (e.g. Vegetarian vs. Meat). At that moment I fell in love. Another one of the most memorable perks was the fact that they have their own "cafeteria/gym" area which is where the kitchen is, but they also hold Daddy Daughter dance type of events, and they also hold activities during the day for your kiddo to attend (like soccer or piano) which helps alleviate as many evening activities if so desired! Lastly and most importantly, their curriculum strategy and execution for Reggio is on point. I visited some places that execute it at bare minimum just to claim it, not this place. They are thoughtful in their strategy and passionate in their execution.

The staff are extremely friendly and all of the teachers have been outstanding. We've become so attached to each of the teachers that we have worried if the next teacher will be just as good as the previous. Much to our satisfaction AAC hires very qualified and genuinely nice teachers. We can tell that they truly love our children. We really like the extra lengths AAC goes to make the experience feel like a family. They have a dad/daughter dance as well as a mom/son movie night each year. Price is competitive with other schools in the area.
