This low budget camp is run poorly and is led by a couple of idiots, my experience working there…read morehas shown me just how terrible the camp really is. The place is filled with cockroaches and bedbugs and the food will get you sick. Raccoons are flooding the place and you will see them near the dining hall. The water they serve to the kids tastes like blood and its a terrible experience overall. The camp is full of trash and the cabins are full of dirt and dust. The counselors have a bad attitude and have no idea what they are doing. The Counselors are under the influence when the kids are on camp and are smoking and drinking on days with kids in their supervision. there is a weed pen in the room next to the reptiles. This place needs to be studied, there are bottles of alcohol and vapes in counselors belongings and in their cars. Kids have found weed pens on there walks around camp and the counselors decide not to report it. Don't consider sending your kids here if you want them to have a good camp experience. You will waste your money sending them to this low budget camp. This place needs to be studied.

Only thing I do not like are the GIANT NAILS sticking out the ceiling! There's literally hundreds of them! So if a ball hits the ceiling with enough pressure, it gets instantly punctured and there goes the game! You can literally see balls stuck to the ceiling hanging on by a nail. If you're going to have a recreational facility, thousands of sharp nails should not be sticking out your interior ceiling.

For those of us that faced accessibility issues, GOSC staff literally stepped up to the plate by facilitating quick adjustments, insuring an afternoon of fun. As a parent, you invest time, effort, and hope into the application process, so receiving a rejection without any meaningful feedback feels dismissive and unprofessional. I understand that private schools can be selective, but clear communication and basic courtesy should still be part of the process. Even a general explanation or guidance would have shown respect for families going through admissions. Based on this experience, I would caution other parents to be prepared for limited communication and to consider whether this aligns with the level of support and openness they expect from a school community.

The classrooms are huge and spacious, the teachers GENUINELY care for the kids they care for, and they spend time doing activities that challenge their brain. This is such an awesome thing for babysitting too, and it's a great price for all of the cool things they do all day. My daughter is always so tired when she comes home, and she cries whenever we pick her up. I'm so happy we get to send her!

I have only worked on baseball thus far but am impressed and plan on trying some of the other events as well. They have Nerf Wars, Dodgeball, and Footbowling as well. My son is 7 and we are always looking for places for him to burn energy and I am impressed especially since we need a place to train while it is cold out.
