This is the oddest hobby store I have ever been too, yet it felt like it deserved a good rating…read more When we first walked in we were confused, it is a consignment junk shop when you first enter, and then you walk towards the back and you suddenly see a model train selection. It is not packed full of stuff, it just takes up a smaller section of the store, more than it does anything. My husband did find some stuff he was looking for that has been sold out online for awhile, so that cool for him. It is worth checking out if you are in the area, since you might find some kind of awesome antique you can't live without while you are in there. It seemed to fit Kamloops perfect.

This is a great Michaels location. I know they have to follow pretty strict corporate guidelines so…read morethere isn't a lot of difference from store to store when it comes to selection and such. However, the thing this location really excels in is customer service. The staff here are great at identifying the difference between browsing and hopelessly lost. Today I was looking for supplies for a craft that took me all over the store and I had not one, not two, but three different staff members help me find what I needed. Seriously impressed. The same goes for checkout: the staff are always helpful with coupons and suggestions. I've never had anything but great service here. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5? Mostly corporate issues that I understand this location can't change. Michaels is terrible for making you feel ripped off with their constant coupons. Obviously everything is incredibly marked up. NEVER go there without a coupon. They almost always have one for at least 40% off a single item. Sometimes they even have ones that cover your whole transaction.

The owner has always been #1 for service and advice. They have a nice selection of watches, jewelry , and gifts ware. Not a lot of quality jewelry stores left anymore.
