A service so unpleasant that we almost walked out…read more We visited as a group of 10 people and the experience was extremely disappointing. The food tasted good, although the presentation was rather poor. The real problem, however, was the service. There were constant mistakes with our orders. Dishes arrived with missing or incorrect ingredients, there was confusion about who had ordered what, and food even appeared at our table that nobody had requested. The most surreal moment came when a sandwich arrived that none of us had ordered. When we pointed this out to the waitress, her response was simply, "Well, I'll just leave it here," and she left it on the table as if the problem had somehow become ours. We later had to ask her to take it away because, unsurprisingly, it still didn't belong to anyone. What makes this even more difficult to understand is that the restaurant was practically empty. Outside, there was only our table and another table with two people, yet the amount of confusion and mistakes was remarkable. And the worst part wasn't the mistakes themselves, but the attitude of the blonde waitress who was serving us. I don't know her name, but the restaurant will have no difficulty identifying her. Every time we pointed out a mistake (mistakes that we certainly hadn't caused), she reacted with sighs, muttering, obvious annoyance and disapproving looks. The constant feeling was that pointing out an incorrect order seemed to bother her more than the mistake itself. Rather than trying to solve problems politely, she made us feel as though we were somehow responsible for them. At one point she even told a colleague, in front of customers, "You deal with them because I can't be bothered." Seeing a waitress openly disengage from a table in that way was as surprising as it was unprofessional. In all our years of eating out, we have never felt like we were inconveniencing staff simply by asking for what we had actually ordered. The atmosphere became so unpleasant that all ten of us genuinely discussed whether we should stay or leave. We ultimately decided to remain because we didn't want to ruin a meeting that had already been arranged. In all our years of dining out, we have never seen a single waitress achieve something so remarkable: making an entire table seriously consider leaving before the meal had even begun. To top it all off, the table was dirty and the receipt was printed incorrectly to the point that many items and prices were barely legible. We understand that technical issues can happen and that this is not necessarily the staff's fault, but after everything else it felt like just one more problem added to an already frustrating experience. We don't get upset over an incorrect order. What matters is how that mistake is handled. Anyone can make a mistake, but poor customer service is a choice. The value for money didn't help either. The burgers were surprisingly small considering the prices, the portion of fries was minimal, and the presentation left a lot to be desired. When a restaurant charges those kinds of prices, certain expectations naturally come with them. Unfortunately, neither the food nor the service lived up to those expectations. The impression we were left with was of a place aimed mainly at passing tourists, where customers are charged far more than what is actually being offered. All ten of us left with exactly the same conclusion: we won't be returning, and we certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. There are plenty of places where you can enjoy a meal and a good time with friends. This is not one of them.

Excellent beer list and the food was delicious (this included salads). Large portions and friendly…read moreattentive staff. Slightly overpriced for what was just bar food in the states, but the very pleasant experience trumped that.

This is a really neat Italian joint in Jerez. Super easy to find; parking on the street outside…read more Looking for something new, we decided to branch out and made the short drive from Sanlucar to Jerez in search of pizza. No reviews on Yelp, but there were on another site .. and based on those, we decided to try it out. Our waiter was fantastic -- very friendly and spoke excellent English. Huge menu with a variety of items -- pizza, pasta, burgers, sides, salads, kabobs. Hubby and I shared the caprese stack .. it was good (the pesto was excellent!) though we like it to be chilled. Kids both had gnocchi -- one had the sherry with mushrooms and the other had the pesto. Both were excellent! We each had a pizza. La Roma's pizza is a thin crust pizza .. and to date, the best thin crust pizza we've had in Spain. I had prosciutto with mushrooms; hubby had the BBQ. Be advised the BBQ pizza is NOT like an American BBQ pizza =) Wrapped it up with the tiramisu. They made it at the table .. neat experience, but wasn't our fave rendition. Kids loved it though. This place is a perfect family dining place .. we were in and out of there quickly; however, for us .. 2000 opening was a bit late; our kids usually do okay with a 1900 opening, but this ended up being a bit too late. Nothing wrong with their opening time, but be advised in case you have kids who go down a bit earlier. We were the only ones in there from opening at 2000 from when we left at 2100.
