He has changed from being a not-so-happy-about-school kid to someone who looks forward to his classes and has shed his school anxiety. All with none of the typical middle school drama! Can't recommend them highly enough! Plus, I have to add that their approach to remote learning is beyond a 5-star rating. To say that they have gone above and beyond is an understatement. I went to Landmark half my middle school through high school. I was born with severe dyslexia. And…read moreI had great tutorial teachers that help, I believe that the one-to-one help me more with my dyslexia. The problem was I didn't do well in regular classes because they would be mixed with people with ADD and different levels of dyslexia. Yes the classrooms were small but with people with severe dyslexia it wasn't small enough. Most kids who get medicated for their ADD then can focus and read. That's not the same with me. The other problem was teachers. They would stay for a certain time. Get their certification in dyslexia and get room and board. They'd leave and get better money. The teachers were also in charge of the afterschool activities. Half of my years in middle school was At a different school And the science teacher there is so motivating, hands on and taught new ways to think about science. I thought I was going to be a scientist. Because of the change of the teachers at Landmark I had a horrible science teacher and just like that I was turned off science. They had people from all over the the world. so because of that they have room and board. I also think they take people who had a lot of money, And not always with a reading problem. When I went there they had kid who are princes from Eastern European, movie star children, and Family so rich that the kids could have their own mansion. That's why Most those buildings are named after their families. I would take a bus to school but I was felt like I was separated from the people who boarded. I could never do The afterschool activities because I had to catch the bus. I was left out. The teachers who would stay we're always good teachers but I left feeling like they should've done a little bit more. When I graduate from high school I wish they inform me how college would've been. How I could use certain techniques to use in college or in a job. I did graduate from college but I still can't read through full book without getting lost or feeling like I forgot what I read. Thank God for technology. I'm using the microphone on my phone to talk into it to type this and the speaker to read back to me so I can correct the words. With a group of my peers in middle school we started a movie called Enni's Gift talking about dyslexia.

After asking for a subtle, natural looking redish-orange color, I came out looking like a fire truck. In all fairness, I should have just left when the teacher first insulted the color I wanted, but I was so taken aback that I didn't know what to do. The students were pretty unprofessional, and goofing off during my service. Only good thing I can say was that it was cheap.

The place is definitely not up to date or fancy. In fact, you walk in and it's kind of a mess lol. The girls have their bags and food and coffees everywhere- BUT ITS A SCHOOL. It's a little crowded and noisy all of which can be off putting, but my hair looked REALLY nice when all was said and done. The students are learning so they are super cautious and take their time. They also will stop to get their instructors advice (which admittedly made me nervous) but all in all, I was soooo happy with my hair. I worked with two different students (the first girl had to leave early) for a wash, cut and dry. They were very nice to me and did a great job. For $7, I can't speak highly enough about my experience. But you need to have realistic expectations!!!! I cannot stress this enough. If you're looking for a quick cut or a fancy salon experience GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. But if you want a nice professional haircut done by students under the supervision of a teach, this place is great!

The college is prioritizing "other summer events" over the class of 2020. They should have started planning proper celebration for the class of 2020 as soon as they started planning for 2021. Dr. Richard Wylie is very frustrating to deal with, he states he has this open email system, yet it is extreme fluff! He never hears out the student/parent and does what makes him look good. Recently his change of the way students select rooms, has so much controversy to it, you can see right through that it is his way to promote the 2.0-2.5 GPA students to higher status so that they can get the premier rooms on Campus. This same leadership team sent to our home Merit awards for another student. When questioned if more was able to be received the Financial arm of this leader told us we are at the highest (funny as he didn't know we got the letter for not only my child but also for the next letter in the alphabet). Lets discuss first year housing and how they let the two athletes into the room one week early and the forced triple had a bed propped so far up - it was a safety concern and when brought to the dorm president - told us to deal with it and stop complaining. Want more insight on how this college isn't for you - get the hint and choose a different college to go to or find out for yourself how horrible the leadership is for this University!
